And Israel commenced his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

And God spoke unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

And he said, I am God, the God of thy father; fear not to go down into Egypt; for a great nation will I make of thee there:

I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again; and Joseph shall put his hand upon thy eyes.

And Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

And these are the names of the children of Israel, that came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: the first-born of Jacob, Reuben.

And the sons of Reuben: Chanoch, and Pallu, and Chezron, and Carmi.
10 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Simione; ko Semueli, mo Samini, mo ʻOhati, mo Sakini, mo Sohali, mo Saula, ko e tama ʻae fefine Kēnani.
And the sons of Simeon: Yemuel, and Yamin, and Ohad, and Yachin, and Zochar, and Shaul the son of the Canaanitish woman.
11 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Livai, ko Kesoni, mo Kohate, mo Melali.
And the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kehath, and Merari.
12 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Siuta; ko ʻEa, mo ʻOnani, mo Felesi, mo Selaa, ka naʻe mate ʻa ʻEa mo ʻOnani ʻi he fonua ko Kēnani, pea ko e ongo foha ʻo Felesi ko Hesiloni mo Hamuli.
And the sons of Judah: 'Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerach; but 'Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Perez were Chezron and Chamul.
13 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻIsaka; ko Tola, mo Fufa, mo Sope, mo Similoni.
And the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puvah, and Yob, and Shimron.
14 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Sepuloni; ko Seleti, mo ʻEloni, mo Salili.
And the sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Yachleel.
15 Ko e ngaahi tama eni ʻa Lia, naʻa ne fāʻeleʻi kia Sēkope ʻi Petanalami, mo hono ʻofefine ko Taina; ko e laumālie ʻo hono ngaahi foha mo hono ngaahi ʻofefine naʻe toko tolungofulu ma toko tolu.
These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore unto Jacob in Padan-aram, with Dinah his daughter: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Kata; ko Sifioni, mo Haki, mo Suni, mo ʻEsiponi, mo ʻElai, mo ʻEloti, mo ʻAlili.
And the sons of Gad: Ziphyon, and Chaggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, 'Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻAseli; ko Simina, mo ʻIsua, mo ʻIsui, mo Pelia, mo Sela, ko honau tuofefine; pea ko e ongo foha ʻo Pelia; ko Hepa, mo Malikieli.
And the sons of Asher: Yimnah, and Yishvah, and Yishvi, and Beriah, and Serach their sister; and the sons of Beriah: Cheber, and Malkiel.
18 Ko e ngaahi tama eni ʻa Silipa, ʻaia ne foaki ʻe Lepani ki hono ʻofefine ko Lia, pea ne fanauʻi ʻakinautolu ni kia Sēkope, ko e laumālie ʻe hongofulu ma ono.
These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and she bore these unto Jacob, sixteen souls.
19 Pea ko e fānau ʻa Lesieli ko e uaifi ʻo Sēkope; ko Siosefa, mo Penisimani.
The sons of Rachel, Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
20 Pea naʻe tupu ia Siosefa ʻi he fonua ko ʻIsipite, ʻa Manase, mo ʻIfalemi, ʻaia naʻe fanauʻi kiate ia ʻe ʻAsinate ko e ʻofefine ʻo Potifela ko e taulaʻeiki ʻo ʻOni.
And there were born unto Joseph in the land of Egypt Menasseh and Ephraim, whom Assenath the daughter of Poti-phera', the priest of On, bore unto him.
21 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Penisimani, ko Pela, mo Pekeli, mo ʻAsipeli, mo Kela, mo Neemani, mo ʻEhi, mo Losi, mo Mupimi, mo Hupimi, mo ʻAliti.
And the sons of Benjamin: Bela', and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Echi, and Rosh, Muppim and Chuppim, and Ard.
22 Ko e ngaahi tama eni ʻa Lesieli, naʻe tupu kia Sēkope; ko e laumālie kotoa pē, naʻe toko hongofulu ma toko fā.
These are the sons of Rachel, that were born to Jacob: in all fourteen souls.

And the son of Dan: Chushim.
24 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Nafitali, ko Saseili, mo Kuni; mo Seseli, mo Silemi.
And the sons of Naphtali: Yachzeel, and Guni, and Yezer, and Shillem.
25 Ko e ngaahi tama eni ʻa Pila, ʻaia naʻe foaki ʻe Lepani, ki hono ʻofefine ko Lesieli, pea ne fānau ʻakinautolu ni kia Sēkope; ko e laumālie kotoa pē naʻe toko fitu.
These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bore these unto Jacob, in all seven souls.
26 Ko e laumālie kotoa pē naʻe haʻu mo Sēkope ki ʻIsipite, ʻaia naʻe tupu ʻiate ia, ka ʻoku ʻikai lau ʻae ngaahi uaifi ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo Sēkope; ko e laumālie ʻe toko onongofulu ma toko ono.
All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, that came out of his loins, besides the wives of Jacob's sons, were in all sixty and six souls.
27 Pea ko e ongo foha ʻo Siosefa naʻe fānau kiate ia ʻi ʻIsipite, ko e laumālie ʻe toko ua: pea ko e laumālie kotoa pē ʻoe fale ʻo Sēkope, naʻe haʻu ki ʻIsipite, naʻa nau toko fitungofulu.
And the sons of Joseph, who were born him in Egypt, were two souls; all the souls of the house of Jacob, that came into Egypt, were seventy.
28 Pea naʻa ne fekau ʻa Siuta ke muʻomuʻa ʻiate ia, ke fakahinohino ia ki Koseni; pea naʻa nau hoko ki he fonua ko Koseni.
And Judah he sent before him unto Joseph, to direct him beforehand unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen; and when he obtained sight of him, he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

And Israel said unto Joseph, Let me die now, since I have seen thy face, that thou art yet alive.

And Joseph said unto his brothers, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and tell Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brothers and my father's house, who were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;

And the men are shepherds, for they have been owners of cattle; and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, they have brought along.
33 Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, ʻoka ui ʻa Felo kiate kimoutolu, ʻo ne fehuʻi pe ko e hā ʻa hoʻomou faiva;
And it shall come to pass, if Pharaoh should have you called, and say, What is your occupation?
34 Pea te mou pehē, ‘Ko e ngāue ʻa hoʻo kau tamaioʻeiki talu ʻemau kei siʻi ʻo fai mai ni, ʻio ʻakimautolu mo ʻemau ngaahi tamai, ko e tauhimanu;’ koeʻuhi ke mou nofo ʻi he fonua ko Koseni,” he ʻoku fakalielia ki he kakai ʻIsipite, ʻae tauhi sipi kotoa pē.
That ye shall say, Owners of cattle have thy servants been from our youth even until now, both we, as also our fathers; in order that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
