< ʻIsikieli 39 >

1 “Ko ia, foha ʻoe tangata, kikite kia Koki pea ke lea, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; Vakai ʻoku ou tuʻu kiate koe, ʻe Koki, ʻa koe ko e ʻeiki lahi ʻo Meseke pea mo Tupale:
And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, Rhos prince of Mesoch and Thobel:
2 Pea te u fakafoki koe ki mui, pea ko hono ono pe ʻoe vahe ʻiate koe ʻe tuku, pea te u pule ke ke haʻu koe mei he ngaahi potu tokelau, pea te u ʻomi koe ki he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻIsileli:
and I will assemble thee, and guide thee, and raise thee up on the extremity of the north, and I will bring thee up upon the mountains of Israel.
3 Pea te u fakahomoki hoʻo kaufana mei ho nima toʻohema, pea te u fakangangana hoʻo ngaahi ngahau mei ho nima toʻomataʻu.
And I will destroy the bow out of thy left hand, and thine arrows out of thy right hand, and I will cast thee down on the mountains of Israel;
4 Te ke hinga koe ki lalo ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻa koe, pea mo hoʻo ngaahi matatau, mo e kakai ʻoku kau taha mo koe: te u foaki koe ke kai ʻe he fanga manupuna ʻi he faʻahinga kehekehe ʻoku fekai, pea mo e fanga manu ʻoe vao.
and thou and all that belong to thee shall fall, and the nations that are with thee shall be given to multitudes of birds, [even] to every fowl, and I have given thee to all the wild beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Te ke tō hifo koe ʻi he ʻataʻatā ʻoe funga kelekele: he ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, ko au kuo u lea ki ai.
Thou shalt fall on the face of the field: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord.
6 Pea te u tuku atu ha afi ki Mekoki, pea ki he lotolotonga ʻonautolu kotoa pē ʻoku nofo fakafiemālie ʻi he ngaahi motu pea te nau ʻilo ko Sihova au.
And I will send a fire upon Gog, and the islands shall be securely inhabited: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
7 ‌ʻE pehē ʻa ʻeku ʻai ke ʻiloa ʻa hoku huafa māʻoniʻoni ʻi he lotolotonga ʻo ʻIsileli; pea ʻe ʻikai te u tuku ke toe fakalieliaʻi ʻa hoku huafa māʻoniʻoni: pea ʻe ʻilo ʻe he hiteni ko Sihova au ko e tokotaha māʻoniʻoni ʻi ʻIsileli.”
And my holy name shall be known in the midst of my people Israel; and my holy name shall no more be profaned: and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy [One] in Israel.
8 ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, “Vakai kuo hokosia ia, pea kuo ʻosi hono fai; ko e ʻaho eni ʻaia naʻaku folofola ki ai.
Behold it is come, and thou shalt know that it shall be, saith the Lord God; this is the day concerning which I have spoken.
9 Pea ʻe ʻalu atu ʻakinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he ngaahi kolo ʻo ʻIsileli, pea te nau tutu ke vela ʻae ngaahi mahafu, ʻae pā mo e fakaū, ʻae kaufana pea mo e ngahau, ʻae tao nounou, pea mo e ngaahi tao, pea te nau tutu ia ʻi he afi ʻi he taʻu ʻe fitu.
And they that inhabit the cities of Israel shall come forth, and make a fire with the arms, the shields and the spears, and bows and arrows, and hand-staves, and lances, and they shall keep fire burning with them for seven years:
10 Ko ia ia ʻe ʻikai fetuku ai ha fefie mei he vao, pe fai ha taʻanga mei he vao lahi; he te ne tutu ʻae mahafu ʻi he afi; pea te nau vete ʻakinautolu naʻe vete ʻakinautolu, mo kaihaʻa meiate kinautolu naʻe kaihaʻasi meiate kinautolu,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua.
and they shall not take any wood out of the field, neither shall they cut any out of the forests, but they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall plunder those that plundered them, and spoil those that spoiled them, saith the Lord.
11 “Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, te u foaki kia Koki ʻae potu ongoongo, ko e tanuʻanga, ʻi ʻIsileli, ko e teleʻa ʻae kau fononga ʻoku ʻalu ki he potu fakahahake mei he tahi: ʻe kuku ai ʻae ihu ʻoe kau fononga: pea te nau tanu ʻi ai ʻa Koki mo ʻene kakai kotoa pē: pea te nau ui ia ko e teleʻa ʻo Hamoni-Koki.
And it shall come to pass [that] in that day I will give to Gog a place of renown, a tomb in Israel, the burial-place of them that approach the sea: and they shall build round about the outlet of the valley, and there they shall bury Gog and all his multitude: and [the place] shall then be called the burial-place of Gog.
12 Pea ko e māhina ʻe fitu mo e tanu ʻakinautolu ʻe he fale ʻo ʻIsileli, koeʻuhi ke nau fakamaʻa ai ʻae fonua.
And the house of Israel shall bury them, that the land may be cleansed in the space of seven months.
13 ‌ʻIo, ʻe kau kotoa pē ʻae kakai kotoa pē ʻoe fonua ʻi he tanu ʻakinautolu; pea ʻe hoko ko e meʻa ongoongolelei lahi ʻae ʻaho ko ia ʻe fakaongoleleiʻi au, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua.
Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a [place] of renown in the day wherein it was glorified, saith the Lord.
14 Pea te nau vahe mai ha kau tangata ke ngāue maʻu pe mo ʻalu atu ʻi he fonua, ke nau kau taha mo e kakai fononga ke tanu ʻakinautolu ʻoku kei toe ʻi he funga ʻoe fonua, kae fakamaʻa ia: te nau kumi pehē ʻoka hili ʻae māhina ʻe fitu.
And they shall appoint men continually to go over the land, to bury them that have been left on the face of the earth, to cleanse it after the space of seven months, and they shall seek [them] out.
15 Pea ko kinautolu ʻoku fononga atu ʻi he fonua, ka nau ka sio ki ha huiʻi tangata te nau fokotuʻu ha fakaʻilonga ʻi he potu ko ia, kaeʻoua ke tanu ia ʻi he teleʻa ʻo Hamoni Koki ʻe he kau haʻa tufunga.
And every one that goes through the land, and sees a man's bone, shall set up a mark by it, until the buriers shall have buried it in the valley, the burial place of Gog.
16 Pea ʻe ui foki ʻae kolo ko Hamoni. ʻE pehē ʻenau fakamaʻa ʻae fonua.”
For the name of the city [shall be] Burial-place: so shall the land be cleansed.
17 Pea ko koe foha ʻoe tangata, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Lea ki he faʻahinga manupuna kotoa pē, pea ki he manu kotoa pē ʻoe vao, ʻo pehē, Fakataha mai ʻakimoutolu, pea haʻu; fakataha mai ʻakimoutolu mei he potu kotoa pē ki heʻeku feilaulau, ʻaia ʻoku ou feilaulau ʻaki maʻamoutolu, ʻio, ʻae feilaulau lahi ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻIsileli, koeʻuhi ke mou kai kakano, mo inu ʻae toto.
And thou, son of man, say, Thus saith the Lord; Say to every winged bird, and to all the wild beasts of the field, Gather yourselves, and come; gather yourselves from all [places] round about to my sacrifice, which I have made for you, [even] a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, and ye shall eat flesh, and drink blood.
18 Te mou kai ʻae kakano ʻoe kakai ongoongo, mo inu ʻae toto ʻoe houʻeiki ʻo māmani, ʻae fanga sipitangata mo e fanga lami, mo e fanga kosi, mo e fanga pulu, ko e fanga manu sino kotoa pē mei Pesani.
Ye shall eat the flesh of mighty men, and ye shall drink the blood of princes of the earth, rams, and calves and goats, and they are all fatted calves.
19 Pea te mou kai ngako kaeʻoua ke mou fiu, pea te mou inu ʻae toto kaeʻoua ke mou konā, ʻi he feilaulau ko ia kuo u feilaulau ʻaki maʻamoutolu.
And ye shall eat fat till ye are full, and shall drink wine till ye are drunken, of my sacrifice which I have prepared for you.
20 ‌ʻE pehē ʻa hoʻomou mākona mei heʻeku keinangaʻanga ʻi he fanga hoosi, mo e saliote, fakataha mo e kau tangata ongoongo, mo e kau toʻa kotoa pē ʻoe tau,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua.
And ye shall be filled at my table, [eating] horse, and rider, and mighty man, and every warrior, saith the Lord.
21 “Pea te u tuku ʻa hoku nāunau ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe hiteni, pea ʻe mamata ʻae hiteni kotoa pē ki he tautea kuo u fai, pea mo e hilifaki ʻa hoku nima kiate kinautolu.
And I will set my glory among you, and all the nations shall see my judgment which I have wrought, and my hand which I have brought upon them.
22 Ko ia ʻe ʻilo ai ʻe he fale ʻo ʻIsileli, ko au Sihova ko honau ʻOtua, mei he ʻaho ko ia ʻo fai ki mui.
And the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God, from this day and onwards.
23 Pea ʻe ʻilo ʻe he hiteni ko e meʻa ʻi he angahala, naʻe ʻalu ai ʻae fale ʻo ʻIsileli ki he pōpula: koeʻuhi naʻa nau fai hala kiate au, ko ia naʻaku fufū ai hoku mata meiate kinautolu, pea u tuku ʻakinautolu ki he nima ʻo honau ngaahi fili: ko ia ne nau hinga ai kotoa pē ʻi he heletā.
And all the nations shall know that the house of Israel were led captive because of their sins, because they rebelled against me, and I turned away my face from them, and delivered them into the hands of their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.
24 Kuo u fai kiate kinautolu, pea u fufū hoku mata meiate kinautolu, ʻo fakatatau ki heʻenau fakalielia, pea hangē ko ʻenau ngaahi angahala.”
According to their uncleannesses and according to their transgressions did I deal with them, and I turned away my face from them.
25 Ko ia ʻoku pehē ai ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Ko eni, te u toe ʻomi mei he pōpula ʻa Sēkope, pea te u ʻaloʻofa ki he fale kotoa ʻo ʻIsileli, pea te u fuaʻa, koeʻuhi ko hoku huafa māʻoniʻoni;
Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Now will I turn back captivity in Jacob, and will have mercy on the house of Israel, and will be jealous for the sake of my holy name.
26 ‌ʻOka hili ʻenau fua ʻenau mā, mo ʻenau meʻa kovi kotoa pē, ʻaia kuo nau fai kovi ai kiate au, lolotonga ʻenau nofo fiemālie ʻi honau fonua, pea ʻikai ha taha ke nau manavahē ki ai.
And they shall bear their reproach, and the iniquity which they committed when they dwelt upon their land in peace. Yet there shall be none to terrify [them]
27 ‌ʻO kau ka ʻomi ʻakinautolu mei he kakai, mo tānaki mai ʻakinautolu mei he fonua ʻoe fili, pea ka fakaongoongoleleiʻi au ʻiate kinautolu ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga lahi;
when I have brought them back from the nations, and gathered them out of the countries of the nations: and I will be sanctified among them in the presence of the nations.
28 Te nau toki ʻilo ko au Sihova, ko honau ʻOtua, naʻaku tuku ʻakinautolu ke nau ʻalu pōpula ki he hiteni: ka kuo u tānaki ʻakinautolu ki honau fonua ʻonautolu, pea ʻoku ʻikai kei tuku ʻi ai hanau tokotaha.
And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, when I have been manifested to them among the nations.
29 Pea ʻe ʻikai te u toe fufū hoku mata meiate kinautolu: he ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, kuo u lilingi hoku laumālie ki he fale ʻo ʻIsileli.”
And I will no more turn away my face from them, because I have poured out my wrath upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.
