< ʻIsikieli 35 >
1 Naʻe hoko foki ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kiate au, ʻo pehē,
Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 “Foha ʻoe tangata, fakahanga ho mata ki he moʻunga ko Seia, pea kikite ki ai,
Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
3 Pea ke pehē ki ai, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; ʻE moʻunga ko Seia, Vakai, ko au ʻoku ou tuʻu kiate koe, pea te u mafao atu hoku nima kiate koe, pea te u ngaohi koe ke lala ʻaupito.
And say to it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I [am] against thee, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
4 Te u fakalala ho ngaahi kolo, pea te ke ʻauha ai, mo ke ʻilo ai ko Sihova au.
I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD.
5 Koeʻuhi kuo tuʻumaʻu pe ʻa hoʻo fehiʻa, pea kuo ke lilingi ʻae toto ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, ʻi he mālohi ʻoe heletā ʻi he ʻaho ʻo honau tuʻutāmaki, ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho ne fakakakato ai ʻenau hia:
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed [the blood of] the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time [that their] iniquity [had] an end:
6 Ko ia, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, Ko au ʻoku ou moʻui, pea te u teuteu koe ki he lilingi toto, pea ʻe tuli koe ʻe he toto: koeʻuhi naʻe ʻikai te ke fehiʻa ki he toto pea ko e moʻoni ʻe tuli koe ʻe he toto.
Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee to blood, and blood shall pursue thee: since thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
7 ʻE pehē ʻa ʻeku ngaohi ʻae moʻunga ko Seia ke lala ʻaupito, pea te u motuhi mei ai ʻaia kotoa pē ʻoku feʻaluʻaki ai.
Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
8 Pea te u ʻufiʻufi ʻaki ʻae kakai tāmateʻi ʻa hono ngaahi moʻunga: ʻe tō hifo ʻakinautolu ʻoku tāmate ʻaki ʻae heletā ʻi ho ngaahi tafungofunga, mo e ngaahi teleʻa, pea ʻi ho ngaahi vaitafe.
And I will fill his mountains with his slain [men]: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
9 Te u ngaohi koe ke lala maʻuaipē, pea ʻe ʻikai toe kakai ho ngaahi kolo; pea te mou ʻilo ko Sihova au.
I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.
10 Koeʻuhi kuo ke pehē ʻe koe, Ko e ongo puleʻanga na, mo e ongo fonua na ʻe ʻaʻaku pe ia, pea te mau maʻu ia; ka ko eni naʻe ʻi ai ʻa Sihova:
Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:
11 Ko ia ʻoku pehē ai ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; Ko au ʻoku ou moʻui, pea te u fai moʻoni ʻo fakatatau ki hoʻo ʻita, pea tatau mo hoʻo meheka, ʻaia kuo ke fai ʻi hoʻo fehiʻa kiate kinautolu; pea te u fakaʻilo au kiate kinautolu ʻo kau ka fai ʻae fakamaau kiate koe.
Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thy anger, and according to thy envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
12 Pea te ke ʻilo ko Sihova au, kuo u fanongo ki he ngaahi lea kovi ʻaia kuo ke fai ki he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻo pehē, Kuo fakalala ia, kuo foaki mai ke tau fakaʻauha ia.
And thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD, [and that] I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
13 Kuo pehē ʻa hoʻomou polepole kiate au, pea kuo mou fakalahi hoʻomou lea kiate au: kuo u fanongo au ki ai.”
Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard [them].
14 ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua: “ʻOka fiefia ʻa māmani kotoa pē, te u ngaohi koe ke lala.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
15 Hangē naʻa ke fiefia koe ki he tofiʻa ʻae fale ʻo ʻIsileli, koeʻuhi ne lala ia, ʻe pehē pe ʻa ʻeku fai kiate koe: te ke lala koe, ʻe moʻunga ʻo Seia, pea mo ʻItomi kotoa pē, ʻio, ʻaia kotoa pē: pea te nau ʻilo ko Sihova au.”
As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do to thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, [even] all of it: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.
