< ʻIsikieli 12 >

1 Naʻe hoko foki kiate au ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova, ʻo pehē,
The LORD’s word also came to me, saying,
2 “Foha ʻoe tangata, ʻoku ke nofo ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe fale angatuʻu ʻaia ʻoku ʻi ai ʻae mata ke sio ka ʻoku ʻikai mamata; ʻoku ʻi ai ʻae telinga ke fanongo, ka ʻoku ʻikai ongoʻi; he ko e fale angatuʻu ʻakinautolu.
“Son of man, you dwell in the middle of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see, and don’t see, who have ears to hear, and don’t hear; for they are a rebellious house.
3 Ko ia, ʻa koe foha ʻoe tangata, teuteu ke fetuku hoʻo ngaahi meʻa, pea fetuku ʻaho pe ʻi honau ʻao; pea te ke fetuku mei hoʻo potu ki ha potu kehe ʻi honau ʻao: heiʻilo te nau fakakaukau, neongo ko e fale angatuʻu ʻakinautolu.
“Therefore, you son of man, prepare your baggage for moving, and move by day in their sight. You shall move from your place to another place in their sight. It may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.
4 Te ke toki ʻomi ʻe koe ʻa hoʻo ngaahi meʻa kei ʻaho ʻi honau ʻao, ko e meʻa ke fetuku: pea ka poʻuli te ke ʻalu atu ʻi honau ʻao ʻo hangē koe ʻalu atu ha taha pōpula.
You shall bring out your baggage by day in their sight, as baggage for moving. You shall go out yourself at evening in their sight, as when men go out into exile.
5 Keli ʻe koe ke ava ʻae ʻā ʻi honau ʻao, pea ke fetuku atu mei ai.
Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry your baggage out that way.
6 Te ke fua ia ʻi honau ʻao ki ho uma, pea ke fetuku atu ia ʻi he uulikelekele: te ke pūlou ho mata ke ʻoua naʻa ke sio ki he kelekele: he kuo u tuku koe ko e fakaʻilonga ki he fale ʻo ʻIsileli.”
In their sight you shall bear it on your shoulder, and carry it out in the dark. You shall cover your face, so that you don’t see the land, for I have set you for a sign to the house of Israel.”
7 Pea naʻaku fai ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe fekau mai: naʻaku ʻomi kituʻa ʻeku meʻa kei ʻaho, ʻo hangē ha meʻa ki he pōpula, pea ʻi he efiafi naʻaku keli ʻae ʻā ʻo fakaava ʻaki ʻa hoku nima; pea naʻaku fetuku kituaʻā ʻi heʻene kei ʻataʻatā, pea naʻaku fua meʻa ʻi hoku uma ʻi honau ʻao.
I did so as I was commanded. I brought out my baggage by day, as baggage for moving, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my hand. I brought it out in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight.
8 Pea pongipongi hake naʻe hoko mai ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova, ʻo pehē,
In the morning, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
9 “Foha ʻoe tangata, ʻikai kuo pehē kiate koe ʻe he fale ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻae fale angatuʻu, ‘Ko e hā ʻoku ke fai?’
“Son of man, hasn’t the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, ‘What are you doing?’
10 Lea koe kiate kinautolu, ‘ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua: ʻOku kau ʻae fua kavenga ni ki he tuʻi ʻi Selūsalema mo e fale kotoa ʻo ʻIsileli ʻoku ʻiate kinautolu.’
“Say to them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are.”’
11 Ke ke pehē, ‘Ko homou fakaʻilonga au: hangē ko ia kuo u fai, ʻe pehē hono fai kiate kinautolu: ʻe fetukutuku mo ʻave ʻakinautolu ki he fakapōpula.
“Say, ‘I am your sign. As I have done, so will it be done to them. They will go into exile, into captivity.
12 Pea ko ia ʻoku tuʻi ʻiate kinautolu ʻe fua kavenga ia ʻi hono uma ʻi he efiafi poʻuli, pea ʻe ʻalu atu: te nau keli ʻae ʻā ke ava mo fetuku atu ia: ʻe fakapulou ʻe ia hono mata ke ʻoua naʻa sio hono mata ki he kelekele.
“‘The prince who is among them will bear his baggage on his shoulder in the dark, and will go out. They will dig through the wall to carry things out that way. He will cover his face, because he will not see the land with his eyes.
13 Te u ʻaʻau foki ʻeau ʻa hoku kupenga kiate ia, pea ʻe moʻua ia ʻi heʻeku tauhele: pea te u ʻomi ia ki Papilone ki he fonua ʻoe kau Kalitia; ka ʻe ʻikai te ne mamata ki ai, neongo ʻe mate ia ʻi ai.
I will also spread my net on him, and he will be taken in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Kasdim; yet he will not see it, though he will die there.
I will scatter toward every wind all who are around him to help him, and all his bands. I will draw out the sword after them.
15 Pea te nau ʻilo ko au ko Sihova, ʻo kau ka fakahēʻi ʻakinautolu ki he ngaahi puleʻanga, pea fakamovete ʻakinautolu ki he ngaahi fonua.
“‘They will know that I am the LORD when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries.
16 Ka te u tuku honau kau tangata niʻihi ke hao mei he heletā mo e honge, pea mo e mahaki fakaʻauha; koeʻuhi ke nau fakahā ʻenau ngaahi fakalielia ʻi he kau hiteni ʻaia te nau hoko ki ai; pea tenau ʻilo ko Sihova au.
But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they come. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
17 Naʻe hoko foki ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kiate au, ʻo pehē,
Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
18 “Foha ʻoe tangata, kai hoʻo mā ʻi he manavahē, pea inu hoʻo vai ʻi he tetetete pea mo e vakavakai.
“Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fearfulness.
19 Pea ke lea ki he kakai ʻoe fonua, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ki he kakai ʻo Selūsalema pea mo e fonua ʻo ʻIsileli; te nau kai fakatuhotuha ʻenau mā, pea inu ilifia pe ʻenau vai, koeʻuhi ko e ʻauha ʻae mahu kotoa pē ʻoe fonua, ko e meʻa ʻi he fakamālohi ʻanautolu ʻoku nofo ai.
Tell the people of the land, ‘The Lord GOD says concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem and Eretz-Israel: “They will eat their bread with fearfulness and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, and all that is therein, because of the violence of all those who dwell therein.
20 Pea ʻe fakalala ʻae ngaahi kolo ʻoku kakai pea ʻe ʻauha ʻae fonua; pea te mou ʻilo ko Sihova au.”
The cities that are inhabited will be laid waste, and the land will be a desolation. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”’”
21 Pea naʻe hoko kiate au ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova, ʻo pehē,
The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
22 “Foha ʻoe tangata, ko e hā ʻae lea fakatātā ko ia ʻoku mou maʻu ʻi he fonua ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻaia ʻoku pehē, ‘ʻOku fakatolonga ʻae ngaahi ʻaho, pea ʻoku ʻikai siʻi ha meʻa hā mai ʻe fakamoʻoni?’
“Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in Eretz-Israel, saying, ‘The days are prolonged, and every vision fails’?
23 Ko ia te ke tala kiate kinautolu, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua: te u fakangata ʻae lea fakatātā ko ia, pea ʻe ʻikai toe lea fakatātā ʻaki ia ʻi ʻIsileli; ka ke pehē ʻe koe kiate kinautolu, Kuo ofi ʻae ngaahi ʻaho mo e fakamoʻoni ʻoe meʻa hā mai kotoa pē.
Tell them therefore, ‘The Lord GOD says: “I will make this proverb to cease, and they will no more use it as a proverb in Israel;”’ but tell them, ‘“The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.
24 He koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai kei ʻi ai ha meʻa hā mai ko e vaʻinga, pe ha fai kikite ko e lapu, ʻi he fale kotoa ʻo ʻIsileli.
For there will be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.
25 He ko Sihova au: Te u lea, pea ko e lea te u lea ʻaki ʻe hoko mo fai; ʻe ʻikai toe fakatuai: he ko e lolotonga ʻa hoʻomou ngaahi ʻaho, ʻe fale angatuʻu, te u lea ʻaki ʻae lea, pea fai mo hono fakamoʻoni, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua.”
For I am the LORD. I will speak, and the word that I speak will be performed. It will be no more deferred; for in your days, rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it,” says the Lord GOD.’”
26 Pea naʻe toe hoko kiate au ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova, ʻo pehē,
Again the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
27 “Foha ʻoe tangata, vakai ʻoku lea ʻakinautolu ʻoe fale ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻo pehē, Ko e meʻa hā mai ʻoku ne mamata ai ko e meʻa ki he ngaahi ʻaho kei tuai, pea ʻoku ne kikite ki he ngaahi kuonga ʻoku kei mamaʻo.
“Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, ‘The vision that he sees is for many days to come, and he prophesies of times that are far off.’
28 Ko ia ke ke lea kiate kinautolu, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; ʻE ʻikai toe fakatuotuai haʻaku lea ʻe taha, ka ko e lea ʻaia kuo u lea ʻaki ʻe fai, ʻoku pehē ʻa Sihova ko e ʻOtua.”
“Therefore tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “None of my words will be deferred any more, but the word which I speak will be performed,” says the Lord GOD.’”
