< ʻEfesō 2 >

1 Pea ko kimoutolu, naʻa mou mate ʻi he ngaahi talangataʻa mo e angahala;
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 ‌ʻAia naʻa mou ʻaʻeva ai ʻi muʻa ʻo fakatatau ki he ʻalunga ʻoe māmani, ʻo taau mo e ʻeiki ʻoe mālohi ʻoe ʻatā, ʻae laumālie ʻoku ngāue ni ʻi he fānau talangataʻa: (aiōn g165)
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: (aiōn g165)
3 ‌ʻAia naʻa tau fai fakataha ai kotoa pē ʻi muʻa, ʻi he ngaahi holi kovi ʻa hotau kakano, ʻo fai ki he ngaahi holi ʻoe kakano mo e loto; pea ʻi he ʻulungāanga ko e fānau ʻoe houhau, ʻo hangē ko e kakai kotoa pē.
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 Ka ko e ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku mohu ʻaloʻofa, ʻi heʻene ʻofa lahi naʻa ne ʻofeina ai ʻakitautolu,
But YHWH, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 ‌ʻIo, lolotonga ʻetau mate ʻi he ngaahi angahala, kuo ne fakamoʻui ʻakitautolu fakataha mo Kalaisi, (kuo mou moʻui ʻi he ʻofa; )
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with the Messiah, (by favour ye are saved; )
6 Pea kuo ne fokotuʻu hake fakataha, ʻo ne fakanofo ʻakitautolu ʻi he ngaahi potu fakalangi ʻia Kalaisi Sisu:
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in the Messiah Yahushua:
7 Koeʻuhi ʻi he ngaahi kuonga ʻe haʻu ke ne fakahā hono lahi ʻaupito ʻaupito ʻo ʻene ʻofa ʻi heʻene angalelei kiate kitautolu ʻia Kalaisi Sisu. (aiōn g165)
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his favour in his kindness toward us through the Messiah Yahushua. (aiōn g165)
8 He ʻoku mou moʻui ʻi he ʻofa pe ʻi he tui; pea ʻoku ʻikai meiate kimoutolu ia: ka ko e foaki ʻae ʻOtua:
For by favour are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of YHWH:
9 ‌ʻOku ʻikai ʻi he ngaahi ngāue, telia naʻa polepole ai ha tangata.
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 He ko ʻene ngāue ʻakitautolu, kuo fakatupu ʻia Kalaisi Sisu ki he ngaahi ngāue lelei, ʻaia kuo tomuʻa tuʻutuʻuni ʻe he ʻOtua ke ʻaʻeva ai ʻakitautolu.
For we are his workmanship, created in the Messiah Yahushua unto good works, which YHWH hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
11 Ko ia manatu, ko e Senitaile fakakakano ʻakimoutolu ʻi muʻa, naʻe ui “ko e Taʻekamu” ʻe ia ʻoku ui ko e Kamu, ʻi he kakano, naʻe fai ʻe he nima;
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 Koeʻuhi ʻi he kuonga ko ia naʻa mou masiva Kalaisi ai, ko e ʻāuhe ʻakimoutolu mei he puleʻanga ʻo ʻIsileli, mo e kau muli ki he ngaahi fuakava ʻoe talaʻofa, ʻo taʻehaʻamanakilelei, pea taʻemaʻu ʻae ʻOtua ʻi māmani:
That at that time ye were without the Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without Elohim in the world:
13 Ka ko eni, ko e meʻa ʻia Kalaisi Sisu, ko kimoutolu naʻe mamaʻo atu ʻi muʻa, kuo fakaofi ʻi he taʻataʻa ʻo Kalaisi.
But now in the Messiah Yahushua ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of the Messiah.
14 He ko hotau melinoʻanga ia, ʻaia kuo ne ngaohi ʻae ua ke taha pe, pea kuo ne holoki hifo ʻae ʻā vahevahe ʻi loto;
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Pea kuo ne ikuna ʻi hono sino ʻae taufehiʻa, ʻio, ʻae fono ʻoe ngaahi fekau [naʻe tuʻu ]ʻi he ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni; ke ne fakatupu ʻiate ia ʻi he ua ʻae tangata foʻou pe taha, pea fakamelino ai;
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 Pea koeʻuhi ke fakalelei fakatouʻosi pe ki he ʻOtua ʻi he sino pe taha ʻi he ʻakau, kuo ʻosi ʻene tāmateʻi ʻaki ia ʻae taufehiʻa:
And that he might reconcile both unto YHWH in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 Pea haʻu ʻo malangaʻaki ʻae melino kiate kimoutolu naʻe mamaʻo atu, pea kiate kinautolu naʻe ofi.
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 He ko e meʻa ʻiate ia ʻoku tau maʻu fakatouʻosi ʻae hokoʻanga ʻi he Laumālie pe taha ki he Tamai.
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Pea ko eni, ʻoku ʻikai ai ko e kau muli mo e kau ʻāunofo ʻakimoutolu, ka ko e kaunga kolo mo e kāinga māʻoniʻoni, pea mo e fale ʻoe ʻOtua.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of YHWH;
20 Pea kuo fokotuʻu ki he tuʻunga ʻae kau aposetolo mo e kau palofita, ko hono fuʻu [maka ]tuliki ʻa Sisu Kalaisi pe;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Yahushua the Messiah himself being the chief corner stone;
21 ‌ʻAia ʻoku fehokotaki lelei ai ʻae fale kotoa, pea tupu ia ko e fale māʻoniʻoni ki he ʻEiki:
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in YHWH:
22 ‌ʻAia kuo langa fakataha ai foki ʻakimoutolu, ko e nofoʻanga ʻoe ʻOtua ʻi he Laumālie.
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of Elohim through the Spirit.
