1 Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, “ʻOka ke ka hoko ki he fonua ʻaia ʻoku foaki kiate koe ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ko ho tofiʻa, pea kuo ke maʻu ia, mo ke nofo ki ai;
Also when thou shalt come into the lande which the Lord thy God giueth thee for inheritance, and shalt possesse it, and dwell therein,
2 Te ke toʻo ai mei he ngaahi ʻuluaki fua kotoa pē ʻoe fonua ʻaia te ke ʻomi mei ho fonua ʻaia ʻoku foaki kiate koe ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ʻe faʻo ia ki he kato, pea te ke ʻalu ki he potu ʻaia ʻe fili ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ke ʻai ki ai hono huafa.
Then shalt thou take of the first of all the fruite of the earth, and bring it out of the lande that the Lord thy God giueth thee, and put it in a basket, and goe vnto the place, which the Lord thy God shall chose to place his Name there.
3 Pea te ke ʻalu ki he taulaʻeiki ʻaia ʻoku ʻi ai ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho ko ia, pea ke pehē kiate ia, ‘ʻOku ou fakahā he ʻaho ni kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, kuo u haʻu mei he fonua ʻaia naʻe fuakava ai ʻa Sihova ki heʻetau ngaahi tamai ke foaki kiate kitautolu.’
And thou shalt come vnto the Priest, that shall be in those dayes, and say vnto him, I acknowledge this day vnto the Lord thy God, that I am come vnto the countrey which the Lord sware vnto our fathers for to giue vs.
4 Pea ʻe toʻo ʻe he taulaʻeiki ʻae kato mei ho nima, pea ʻe tuku ia ʻi he haʻohaʻonga ʻoe feilaulauʻanga kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua.
Then the Priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it downe before the altar of the Lord thy God.
5 Pea te ke lea ʻo pehē, ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ‘Ko ʻeku tamai ko e Silia tei mate, pea naʻe ʻalu hifo ia mo e tokosiʻi ki ʻIsipite, pea ʻāunofo ai, pea naʻe tupu ai ia ko e puleʻanga lahi, mo mālohi, mo tokolahi:
And thou shalt answere and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian was my father, who being ready to perish for hunger, went downe into Egypt, and soiourned there with a small company, and grew there vnto a nation great, mightie and full of people.
6 Pea naʻe fai kovi kiate kimautolu ʻae kakai ʻIsipite, ʻo tautea ʻakimautolu, ʻo hilifaki kiate kimautolu ʻae ngāue fakapōpula lahi:
And the Egyptians vexed vs, and troubled vs, and laded vs with cruell bondage.
7 Pea ʻi heʻemau tangi kia Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻemau ngaahi tamai, naʻe tokanga ʻa Sihova ki homau leʻo, pea naʻe ʻafio ia ki heʻemau ngaahi mamahi, mo ʻemau ngāue, mo homau fakafiuʻi:
But when we cried vnto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voyce, and looked on our aduersitie, and on our labour, and on our oppression.
8 Pea naʻe ʻomi ʻe Sihova ʻakimautolu mei ʻIsipite ʻaki ʻae nima māfimafi, mo e nima kuo mafao atu, pea ʻi he ngaahi meʻa fakamanavahē lahi, mo e ngaahi fakaʻilonga, mo e ngaahi meʻa fakaofo:
And the Lord brought vs out of Egypt in a mightie hande, and a stretched out arme, with great terriblenesse, both in signes and wonders.
9 Pea kuo ne ʻomi ʻakimautolu ki he potu ni, pea kuo ne foaki kiate kimautolu ʻae fonua ni, ko e fonua ʻoku mahu tāfea ʻi he huʻahuhū mo e honi.
And he hath brought vs into this place, and hath giuen vs this land, euen a lande that floweth with milke and hony.
10 Pea ko eni, vakai, kuo u ʻomi ʻae ʻuluaki fua ʻoe fonua ʻaia kuo ke foaki ʻe koe, ʻE Sihova, kiate au.’ “Pea te ke fokotuʻu ia ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, pea te ke lotu ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko ho ʻOtua:
And now, lo, I haue brought ye first fruites of the land which thou, O Lord, hast giuen me, and thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God:
11 Pea te ke fiefia ʻi he lelei kotoa pē ʻaia ʻoku foaki ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua kiate koe, pea ki ho fale, ʻa koe, mo e Livai, mo e muli ʻoku ʻiate kimoutolu.
And thou shalt reioyce in all the good things which the Lord thy God hath giuen vnto thee and to thine houshold, thou and the Leuite, and the stranger that is among you.
12 “He hili hao tukuhau ʻi hono hongofulu ʻoe vahe ʻo hoʻo meʻa kotoa pē ʻi hono tolu ʻoe taʻu, ʻaia ko e taʻu ʻoe tukuhau, pea kuo ke ʻatu ia ki he kau Livai, mo e muli, mo e tamai mate, mo e uitou, koeʻuhi kenau kai ʻi hoʻo ngaahi kolo, pea mākona;
When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tythes of thine increase, the thirde yeere, which is the yeere of tithing, and hast giuen it vnto the Leuite, to the stranger, to the fatherlesse, and to the widowe, that they may eate within thy gates, and be satisfied,
13 Pea te ke toki lea koe ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, Kuo u ʻomi ʻae ngaahi meʻa tapu mei hoku fale, pea kuo u foaki foki ia ki he kau Livai, pea ki he muli, mo e tamai mate, mo e uitou, ʻo hangē ko hoʻo ngaahi fekau kotoa pē ʻaia naʻa ke fekau kiate au: naʻe ʻikai te u talangataʻa ki hoʻo fekau, pea naʻe ʻikai te u fakangalongaloʻi ia:
Then thou shalt say before the Lord thy God, I haue brought the halowed thing out of mine house, and also haue giuen it vnto the Leuites and to the strangers, to the fatherlesse, and to the widow, according to all thy comandements which thou hast commanded me: I haue transgressed none of thy comandements, nor forgotten them.
14 Naʻe ʻikai te u kai mei ai ʻi heʻeku mamahi, pea naʻe ʻikai siʻi te u toʻo ha meʻa mei ai ʻi he ngāue taʻemaʻa, pe ʻatu ha meʻa mei ai maʻae kakai mate: ka kuo u tokanga ki he leʻo ʻo Sihova ko hoku ʻOtua, pea kuo u fai ʻo fakatatau ki he ngaahi meʻa kuo ke fekau kiate au.
I haue not eaten therof in my mourning, nor suffred ought to perish through vncleannes, nor giuen ought thereof for the dead, but haue hearkened vnto the voyce of the Lord my God: I haue done after al that thou hast comaded me.
15 ‌ʻAfio hifo mei ho ʻafioʻanga māʻoniʻoni mei he langi, pea tāpuaki ho kakai ko ʻIsileli, mo e fonua kuo ke foaki mai kiate kimautolu, ʻo hangē ko hoʻo fuakava ki heʻemau ngaahi tamai, ko e fonua ʻoku mahutāfea ʻi he huʻahuhu mo e honi.
Looke downe from thine holy habitation, euen from heauen, and blesse thy people Israel, and the lande which thou hast giuen vs (as thou swarest vnto our fathers) the land that floweth with milke and hony.
16 “Kuo fekau kiate koe he ʻaho ni ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ke ke fai ʻae ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni mo e ngaahi fakamaau: ko ia ke ke tauhi mo ke fai ki ai ʻaki ho loto kotoa, mo ho laumālie kotoa.
This day the Lord thy God doeth command thee to do these ordinances, and lawes: keepe them therefore, and do them with al thine heart, and with all thy soule.
17 Kuo ke fakahā he ʻaho ni ko Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, pea te ke ʻalu ʻi hono ngaahi hala, mo ke tauhi ʻene ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni, mo ʻene ngaahi fekau, mo ʻene ngaahi fakamaau, pea te ke tokanga ki hono leʻo:
Thou hast set vp the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walke in his wayes, and to keepe his ordinances, and his commandements, and his lawes, and to hearken vnto his voyce.
18 Pea kuo fakahā ʻe Sihova he ʻaho ni ko ʻene kakai mahuʻinga ʻakimoutolu, ʻo hangē ko ʻene talaʻofa kiate koe, pea koeʻuhi ke ke tauhi ʻene ngaahi fekau kotoa pē;
And the Lord hath set thee vp this day, to be a precious people vnto him (as hee hath promised thee) and that thou shouldest keepe all his commandements,
19 Pea ke ne ngaohi koe ke ke māʻolunga lahi ʻi he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē kuo ne ngaohi, ʻi he ongoongolelei, pea ʻi he hingoa, pea ʻi he fakaʻapaʻapa; pea koeʻuhi ke ke hoko ko e kakai māʻoniʻoni kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ʻo hangē ko ʻene folofola.
And to make thee high aboue al nations (which he hath made) in praise, and in name, and in glory, and that thou shouldest be an holy people vnto the Lord thy God, as he hath said.
