1 Pea ʻi he fanongo ʻae tuʻi fefine ʻo Sipa ki he ongoongo ʻo Solomone naʻa ne haʻu ki Selūsalema ke ʻahiʻahiʻi ʻa Solomone ʻaki ʻae ngaahi fehuʻi ʻilongataʻa, ko ia mo e fuʻu fononga tokolahi, mo e fanga kāmeli naʻe fetuku ʻae ngaahi meʻa namu kakala, mo e koula lahi ʻaupito, mo e ngaahi maka mahuʻinga: pea ʻi heʻene hoko mai kia Solomone, naʻa ne talanoa mo ia ki he meʻa kotoa pē naʻe ʻi hono loto.
Also the queen of Saba, whanne sche hadde herd the fame of Salomon, cam to tempte hym in derk figuris `in to Jerusalem, with grete ritchessis, and camels, that baren swete smellynge spices, and ful myche of gold, and preciouse iemmes, `ether peerlis. And whanne sche was comun to Salomon, sche spak to hym what euer thingis weren in hir herte.
2 Pea naʻe tali ʻe Solomone ʻa ʻene ngaahi fehuʻi kotoa pē: pea naʻe ʻikai fufū meia Solomone ha meʻa ke ne taʻefakamatala ia kiate ia.
And Salomon expownede to hir alle thingis whiche sche hadde put forth, and no thing was, which he made not opyn to hir.
3 Pea hili ʻae mamata ʻe he tuʻi fefine ʻo Sipa ki he poto kotoa pē ʻa Solomone, pea mo e fale ʻaia naʻa ne langa,
And aftir that sche siy these thingis, that is, the wisdom of Salomon, and the hows which he hadde bildid,
4 Mo e meʻakai ʻi hono keinangaʻanga, mo e anga ʻoe nofo ʻa ʻene kau tamaioʻeiki, mo e toutuʻu, ʻa ʻene kau tauhi, mo honau kofu: mo kinautolu foki naʻe tauhi ʻa ʻene meʻainu, mo honau kofu ʻonautolu, pea mo e hala ʻaia naʻa ne ʻalu hake ai ki he fale ʻo Sihova: naʻe vaivai ʻa hono loto ʻiate ia.
also and the metis of his boord, and the dwellyng places of seruauntis, and the offices of hise mynystris, and the clothis of hem, and the boteleris, and her clothis, and the sacrifices whiche he offride in the hows of the Lord, spirit was no more in hir for wondryng.
5 Pea naʻe pehē ʻe ia ki he tuʻi, “Ta ko e lea moʻoni ia ʻaia naʻaku fanongo ki ai ʻi hoku fonua ʻoʻoku, ki hoʻo ngaahi ngāue pea mo hoʻo poto.
And sche seide to the kyng, The word `is trewe, which Y herde in my lond, of thi vertues and wisdom;
6 Ka naʻe ʻikai te u tui ki heʻenau lea, kaeʻoua ke u haʻu, pea mamata ki ai ʻa hoku mata: pea vakai, naʻe ʻikai tala mai hono vaheua ʻoe lahi ʻo hoʻo poto: he ʻoku ke lahi hake ʻi he ongoongo ko ia naʻaku fanongo ki ai.
Y bileuyde not to telleris, til Y my silf hadde come, and myn yyen hadden seyn, and Y hadde preued that vnnethis the half of thi wisdom was teld to me; thou hast ouercome the fame bi thi vertues.
7 ‌ʻOku monūʻia ʻa hoʻo kau tangata, ʻoku monūʻia ʻa hoʻo kau tamaioʻeiki ko eni ʻoku tutuʻumaʻu aipe ʻi ho ʻao, ʻo [nau ]fanongo ki hoʻo poto.
Blessid ben thi men, and blessid ben thi seruauntis, these that stonden bifor thee in al tyme, and heren thi wisdom.
8 Fakafetaʻi kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ʻaia kuo lōlōfie lelei kiate koe ke fakanofo koe ki hono nofoʻa fakatuʻi, ko e tuʻi maʻa Sihova ko ho ʻOtua: koeʻuhi naʻe ʻofa ʻa ho ʻOtua ki ʻIsileli, ke fokotuʻu ʻakinautolu ke taʻengata: ko ia naʻa ne fakanofo ai koe ke tuʻi kiate kinautolu, ke fai ʻae fakamaau mo e fai totonu.”
Blessid be `thi Lord God, that wolde ordeyne thee on his trone kyng of the puple of `thi Lord God; treuli for God loueth Israel, and wole saue hym with outen ende, therfor he hath set thee kyng on hym, that thou do domes and riytfulnesse.
9 Pea naʻa ne foaki ki he tuʻi ʻae taleniti koula ʻe teau ma uofulu, mo e ngaahi meʻa namu kakala fuʻu lahi ʻaupito, mo e ngaahi maka mahuʻinga: pea naʻe ʻikai ha ngaahi meʻa kakala ke tatau mo ia naʻe foaki kia Solomone ʻe he tuʻi fefine ʻo Sipa.
Forsothe sche yaf to the kyng sixe scoore talentis of gold, and ful many swete smellynge spices, and moost preciouse iemmes; ther weren not siche swete smellynge spices, as these whiche the queen of Saba yaf `to kyng Salomon.
10 Pea ko e kau tamaioʻeiki foki ʻa Helami mo e kau tamaioʻeiki ʻa Solomone, ʻaia naʻe ʻomi ʻae koula mei Ofeli, naʻa [nau ]ʻomi ʻae ngaahi ʻakau ʻalikumi pea mo e ngaahi maka mahuʻinga.
But also the seruauntis of Iram with the seruauntis of Salomon brouyten gold fro Ophir, and trees of thyne, and most preciouse iemmes; of whiche,
11 Pea naʻe ngaohi ʻe he tuʻi ʻaki ʻae ngaahi ʻakau ʻalikumi, ʻae ngaahi pou ki he fale ʻo Sihova, pea ki he fale ʻoe tuʻi, mo e ngaahi haʻape mo e ngaahi meʻa hiva maʻae kau fasi hiva: pea naʻe teʻeki ai ke mamata ʻe he fonua ʻo Siuta ki he ngaahi meʻa pehē.
that is, of the trees of thyne, the kyng made grees in the hows of the Lord, and in the hows of the kyng, `harpis also, and sautrees to syngeris; siche trees weren neuere seyn in the lond of Juda.
12 Pea naʻe foaki ʻe Solomone ki he tuʻi fefine ʻo Sipa ʻa ʻene holi kotoa pē, ʻae meʻa fulipē naʻa ne kole ki ai, ko e fakalahi ʻo ʻene [tali ʻae koloa ]naʻa ne fetuku mai ki he tuʻi. Pea pehē, naʻa ne liliu atu, ʻo ʻalu ki hono fonua ʻoʻona ʻaia mo ʻene kau tamaioʻeiki.
Forsothe Salomon yaf to the queen of Saba alle thingis whiche sche wolde, and whiche sche axide, many moo than sche hadde brouyt to hym. And sche turnede ayen, and yede in to hir lond with hir seruauntis.
13 Pea ko eni, ko hono mamafa ʻoe koula naʻe ʻomi kia Solomone ʻi he taʻu pe taha, ko e taleniti ʻe onongeau mo e onongofulu ma ono ʻoe koula:
Forsothe the weiyt of gold, that was brouyt to Salomon bi ech yeer, was sixe hundrid and sixe and sixti talentis of gold,
14 Ka naʻe lau kehe ʻaia naʻe fetuku mai ʻe he kau tangata naʻe fai ʻae fefakatauʻaki. Pea naʻe ʻomi ʻae koula mo e siliva kia Solomone ʻe he ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo ʻAlepea, pea ʻe he kau pule ʻoe ngaahi vahe fonua.
outakun that summe whiche the legatis of dyuerse folkis, and marchauntis weren wont to brynge, and alle the kyngis of Arabie, and the princes of londis, that brouyten togidere gold and siluer to Salomon.
15 Pea naʻe ngaohi ʻe Solomone ko e tuʻi ʻae ngaahi pā ʻe uangeau ʻaki ʻae koula naʻe tuki: ko e [sikeli ]ʻe onongeau ʻoe koula naʻe ʻi he pā pe taha.
Therfor kyng Salomon made two hundrid goldun speris of the summe of sixe hundrid `floreyns, ether peesis of gold, that weren spendid in ech spere;
16 Pea naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae ngaahi pā iiki ʻe tolungeau ʻaki ʻae koula naʻe tuki: ko e [sikeli ]ʻe tolungeau ʻoe koula naʻe ʻi he pā pe taha. Pea naʻe tuku ia ʻe he tuʻi ki he fale ʻi he vao ʻakau ʻo Lepanoni.
and he made thre hundrid goldun scheeldis of thre hundrid floreyns, with whiche ech scheeld was hilid; and the kyng puttide tho in the armure place, that was set in the wode.
17 Naʻe ngaohi foki ʻe he tuʻi ha fuʻu nofoʻa fakatuʻi ʻaki ʻae lei, pea naʻa ne ʻaofi ʻaki ia ʻae koula lelei lahi.
Also the kyng made a greet seete of yuer, and clothide it with clennest gold;
18 Naʻe ai ʻae lakaʻanga ʻe ono ke [ʻalu hake ai ]ki he nofoʻa fakatuʻi, mo e tuʻunga vaʻe koula, ʻaia naʻe fakamaʻu ki he nofoʻa fakatuʻi, mo e ʻaiʻanga nima ʻi hono potu kaokao ʻe ua ʻoe hekaʻanga, mo e laione ʻe ua naʻe tuʻu ofi ki he ʻaiʻanga nima:
and he made sixe grees, bi whiche me stiede to the seete, and a goldun stool, and tweyne armes, oon ayens `the tother, and twei liouns stondynge bisidis the armes;
19 Pea naʻe tuʻu ʻi hono potu ʻe taha ʻae laione ʻe hongofulu ma ua, pea ʻi he potu kehe ʻe taha ʻi he lakaʻanga ʻe ono. Naʻe ʻikai ngaohi hano tatau ʻi ha puleʻanga.
but also he made twelue othere litle liouns stondynge on sixe grees on euer either side. Siche a seete was not in alle rewmes.
20 Pea naʻe ngaohi ʻaki ʻae koula ʻae ngaahi ipu inu kotoa pē ʻoe tuʻi ko Solomone, pea naʻe ʻoe koula lelei ʻae ngaahi ipu kotoa pē ʻoe fale ʻi he vao ʻakau ʻo Lepanoni: naʻe ʻikai ha taha ʻoe siliva: he naʻe ʻikai lau ia ko e meʻa mahuʻinga ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho ʻo Solomone.
And alle the vessels of the feeste of the kyng weren of gold, and the vessels of the hows of the forest of the Liban weren of pureste gold; for siluer in tho daies was arettid for nouyt.
21 He naʻe ʻalu ʻae folau ʻae tuʻi ki Tasisi fakataha mo e kau tamaioʻeiki ʻa Helami: naʻe haʻu tuʻo taha ʻi he taʻu ʻe tolu ʻae folau mei Tasisi, ke ʻomi ʻae koula, mo e siliva, mo e lei, mo e fanga ngeli, pea mo e fanga pikoka.
For also the schippis of the kyng yeden in to Tharsis with the seruauntis of Iram onys in thre yeer, and brouyten fro thennus gold, and siluer, and yuer, and apis, and pokokis.
22 Pea naʻe lahi hake ʻae maʻu koloa mo e poto ʻa Solomone ʻi he ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo māmani.
Therfor kyng Salomon was magnyfied ouer alle kyngis of erthe for richessis and glorie.
23 Pea naʻe holi ke haʻu ki he ʻao ʻo Solomone ʻe he ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo māmani, ke fanongo ki heʻene poto, ʻaia naʻe tuku ki hono loto ʻe he ʻOtua.
And alle the kyngis of londis desireden to se the face of Salomon, for to here the wisdom which God hadde youe in his herte; and thei brouyten to hym yiftis,
24 Pea naʻa nau ʻomi ʻe he tangata taki taha ʻa ʻene meʻaʻofa, ko e ngaahi meʻa siliva, mo e ngaahi meʻa koula, mo e ngaahi kofu, mo e ngaahi mahafutau, mo e meʻa namu kakala, mo e fanga hoosi, mo e fanga miuli, ko e tukuhau ʻi he taʻu kotoa pē.
vessels of siluer and of gold, clothis and armuris, and swete smellynge spices, horsis and mulis, bi ech yeer.
25 Pea naʻe maʻu ʻe Solomone ʻae potu fale tuʻuʻanga ʻe fā afe ki he fanga hoosi mo e ngaahi saliote, pea mo e kau heka hoosi ʻe taha mano mo e ua afe: ʻaia naʻa ne vahevahe [ke nofo ]ʻi he ngaahi kolo saliote, pea ki he tuʻi ʻi Selūsalema.
Also Salomon hadde fourti thousynde of horsis in stablis, and twelue thousynde of charis and of knyytis; and `he ordeynede hem in the citees of charis, and where the kyng was in Jerusalem.
26 Pea naʻa ne pule ki he ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē mei he vaitafe ʻo aʻu atu ki he fonua ʻoe kakai Filisitia, pea ʻe aʻu ki he mata fonua ʻo ʻIsipite.
Forsothe he vside power on alle the kyngis, fro the flood Eufrates `til to the lond of Filisteis, and `til to the termes of Egipt.
27 Pea naʻe ngaohi ʻae siliva ʻe he tuʻi ke tatau ʻi Selūsalema mo e ngaahi maka, pea ko e ngaahi ʻakau sita naʻe hangē ia ko e ngaahi ʻakau sukamino ʻaia naʻe ʻi he ngaahi potu tokalelei, ʻi hono lahi ʻaupito.
And he yaf so greet plente of siluer in Jerusalem, as of stoonys, and so greet multitude of cedris, as of sycomoris that growen in feeldi places.
28 Pea naʻa nau ʻomi kia Solomone ʻae fanga hoosi mei ʻIsipite, pea mei he ngaahi fonua kotoa pē.
Forsothe horsis weren brouyt fro Egipt, and fro alle cuntreis.
29 Pea ko eni ko hono toe ʻoe ngaahi ngāue ʻa Solomone, mei he ʻuluaki ki he kimui, ʻikai kuo tohi ia ʻi he tohi ʻa Natani ko e palōfita, pea ʻi he kikite ʻo ʻAhisa ko e tangata Sailo, pea ʻi he ngaahi kikite ʻo Ito ko e tangata kikite naʻe valoki kia Selopoami ko e foha ʻo Nipati?

31 Pea naʻe mohe ʻa Solomone mo ʻene ngaahi tamai pea naʻe fai hono putu ʻi he “Kolo ʻo Tevita” ko ʻene tamai: pea naʻe fetongi ia ʻi he pule ʻe hono foha ko Lehopoami.
and he slepte with his fadris; and thei birieden hym in the citee of Dauid, and Roboam, his sone, regnyde for hym.
