< 2 Meʻa Hokohoko 31 >

1 Pea ʻi he fakaʻosi ʻae meʻa ni kotoa pē, naʻe ʻalu ʻa ʻIsileli kotoa pē naʻe ʻi ai, ki he ngaahi kolo kotoa pē ʻo Siuta, ʻo laiki ʻae ngaahi meʻa tamapua ke fakaikiiki, pea naʻe tā ʻae ngaahi vao tapu, pea holoki hifo ʻae ngaahi potu māʻolunga mo e ngaahi feilaulauʻanga mei Siuta kotoa pē mo Penisimani, ʻi ʻIfalemi foki mo Manase, ke fakaʻauha kotoa pē. Pea naʻe toki ʻalu ʻae fānau kotoa pē ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻo taki taha ʻae tangata ki hono tofiʻa, ʻi heʻenau ngaahi kolo ʻonautolu.
Now when all this was finished, all the people of Israel who were there went out to the cities of Judah and broke to pieces the stone pillars and they cut down the Asherah poles, and they broke down the high places and the altars in all of Judah and Benjamin, and in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the people of Israel returned, every one to his own possession and his own city.
2 Pea naʻe tuʻutuʻuni ʻe Hesekaia ʻae ngaahi lakanga ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai ʻo fakatatau mo honau lakanga, ʻae tangata taki taha ʻo fakatatau mo ʻene ngāue, ko e kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai ki he ngaahi feilaulau tutu, pea mo e ngaahi feilaulau fakamelino, ke ngāue, pea ke nau fakafetaʻi, pea ke fakamālō ʻi he ngaahi matapā ʻoe ngaahi fale nofoʻanga ʻo Sihova.
Hezekiah assigned the divisions of the priests and the Levites organized by their divisions, each man assigned to his work, both the priests and the Levites. He assigned them to make the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, to serve, to give thanks, and to praise at the gates of Yahweh's temple.
3 Pea naʻa ne vaheʻi ʻae meʻa ʻae tuʻi ki he feilaulau tutu, ki he feilaulau tutu ʻi he pongipongi mo e efiafi, mo e ngaahi feilaulau tutu ki he ngaahi ʻaho tapu, pea ki he ngaahi tuʻu efiafi, pea ki he ngaahi kātoanga fai maʻu, ʻo hangē ko ia kuo tohi ʻi he fono ʻa Sihova.
He also assigned the king's portion for the burnt offerings from his own possessions, that is, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbath days, the new moons, and the fixed festivals, as it was written in the law of Yahweh.
4 Pea naʻa ne fekau foki ki he kakai naʻe nofo ʻi Selūsalema ke ʻatu ʻae vāhenga ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai, koeʻuhi ke fakafiemālieʻi ʻakinautolu ʻi he fono ʻa Sihova.
Moreover, he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion for the priests and the Levites, so that they might concentrate on obeying the law of Yahweh.
5 Pea ʻi he ongo kituʻa ʻae fekau, naʻe ʻomi leva ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, ʻae ʻuluaki fua lahi ʻaupito ʻoe uite, mo e uaine, mo e lolo, mo e honi, pea mei he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku tupu ʻi he ngoue: pea mo e vāhenga ʻoe meʻa kotoa pē naʻa nau ʻomi ʻo lahi ʻaupito.
As soon as the command was sent out, the people of Israel generously gave the firstfruits of grain, new wine, oil, honey, and from all their harvest of the field. They brought in a tithe of everything, which was a great quantity.
6 Pea ko e fānau ʻa ʻIsileli mo Siuta, naʻe nofo ʻi he ngaahi kolo ʻo Siuta, naʻa nau ʻomi foki ʻae vāhenga ʻoe fanga pulu mo e fanga sipi, pea mo e vāhenga ʻoe meʻa tapu naʻe fakatapui kia Sihova ko honau ʻOtua, pea naʻe fokotuʻu ia ʻi he fokotuʻunga.
The people of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep, and the tithe of the holy things that were set apart to Yahweh their God, and they piled them up in heaps.
7 ‌ʻI hono tolu ʻoe māhina naʻa nau kamata ai hono ngaahi tuʻunga ʻoe ngaahi fokotuʻunga, pea naʻe fakaʻosi ia ʻi hono fitu ʻoe māhina.
It was in the third month when they began piling up their contribution in heaps, and they finished in the seventh month.
8 Pea ʻi he haʻu ʻa Hesekaia mo e houʻeiki ʻo mamata ki he ngaahi fokotuʻunga, naʻa nau fakafetaʻi kia Sihova mo hono kakai ʻIsileli.
When Hezekiah and the leaders came and saw the heaps, they blessed Yahweh and his people Israel.
9 Pea naʻe fehuʻi ʻe Hesekaia ki he kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai ki he ngaahi fokotuʻunga meʻa.
Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites about the heaps.
10 Pea naʻe talia ia ʻe ʻAsalia ko e taulaʻeiki lahi ʻi he fale ʻo Satoki, ʻo ne pehē, “Talu mei he ʻaho naʻe kamata ʻomi ʻe he kakai ʻae ngaahi meʻa foaki ki he fale ʻo Sihova, ʻoku mau maʻu ʻae meʻa lahi ke kai, pea ʻoku toe lahi: he kuo tāpuaki ʻe Sihova ʻa hono kakai: pea ko ia ʻoku toe ko e fuʻu meʻa lahi ni.”
Azariah, the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of Yahweh, we have eaten and had enough, and have plenty left over, for Yahweh has blessed his people. What was left over is this large amount here.”
11 Pea naʻe fekau ʻe Hesekaia ke teuteu ʻae ngaahi potu fale ʻi he fale ʻo Sihova: pea naʻa nau teuteu ia,
Then Hezekiah commanded storerooms to be prepared in the house of Yahweh, and they prepared them.
12 ‌ʻO nau ʻomi totonu ki ai ʻae ngaahi meʻa foaki mo e ngaahi vāhenga meʻa ʻoe ngaahi meʻa naʻe fakatapui: pea naʻe pule ki ai ʻa Kononaia ko e tangata Livai, pea hoko mo ia ʻa Simi ko hono tokoua.
Then they faithfully brought in the offerings, the tithes and the things that belonged to Yahweh. Konaniah the Levite was the manager in charge of them, and his brother Shimei was second to him.
13 Pea ko Sehieli, mo ʻAsasia, mo Nehati, mo ʻAsaeli, mo Selimoti, mo Sosapati, mo Ilieli, mo Isimakia, mo Mehati, mo Penaia, ko e kau enginaki ʻi he pule ʻa Kononaia, mo Simi ko hono tokoua, ʻi he fekau ʻa Hesekaia ko e tuʻi, mo ʻAsalia ko e pule ʻoe fale ʻoe ʻOtua.
Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismakiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were managers under the hand of Konaniah and Shimei his brother, by appointment of Hezekiah, the king, and Azariah, the official over the house of God.
14 Pea ko Kole ko e foha ʻo Imina ko e tangata Livai, ko e leʻo matapā ki he potu hahake, naʻe pule ia ki he ngaahi meʻa foaki loto ʻofa ki he ʻOtua, ke tufaki ʻae ngaahi meʻa foaki ʻa Sihova, mo e ngaahi meʻa māʻoniʻoni lahi.
Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the porter at the east gate, was over the free will offerings of God, in charge of distributing the offerings to Yahweh and the most holy offerings.
15 Pea naʻe hoko mo ia, ʻa Iteni, mo Miniamini, mo Sesua, mo Simaia, mo ʻAmalia, mo Sikania, ʻi he ngaahi kolo ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki, ʻi heʻenau ngāue totonu, ke tufa ki honau ngaahi kāinga ʻi honau lakanga, ki he lahi pea mo e siʻi:
Under him were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests. They filled offices of trust, in order to give these offerings to their brothers division by division, to both the important and the unimportant.
16 Pea mo ʻenau tohi hohoko ʻoe fānau tangata, mei he tolu taʻu ʻo fai hake, ʻio, ke ʻatu kiate kinautolu taki taha naʻe hū ki he fale ʻo Sihova, honau ʻinasi ki he ʻaho taki taha ʻo fakatatau mo ʻenau ngāue ʻo fakatatau mo honau lakanga:
They also gave to those males three years old and up, who were listed in the records of their ancestors who entered the house of Yahweh, as required by the daily schedule, to do the work in their offices and their divisions.
17 Ki he hokohoko ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki ʻi he fale ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai, mo e kau Livai mei he uofulu taʻu ʻo fai hake, ʻo fakatatau mo ʻenau ngāue mo honau lakanga:
They distributed to the priests according to the records of their ancestors, and the same to the Levites twenty years old and more, according to their offices and their divisions.
18 Pea ki he hokohoko ʻo ʻenau fānau siʻi kotoa pē, ko honau ngaahi uaifi, mo ʻenau ngaahi foha, mo honau ngaahi ʻofefine, ʻi he kakai fakataha kotoa pē: he naʻa nau fakatapui ʻakinautolu ʻi he māʻoniʻoni ʻi heʻenau ngāue totonu:
They included all their little ones, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, through the whole community, for they were faithful in keeping themselves holy.
19 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻElone foki ʻaia ko e kau taulaʻeiki ʻakinautolu, naʻa nau nofo ʻi he ngaahi ngoue ʻi he ngaahi potu ʻituʻa ʻi honau ngaahi kolo, ʻi honau ngaahi kolo kotoa pē, ko e kau tangata naʻe lau honau hingoa, ke ʻatu ʻae ngaahi vāhenga ki he fānau tangata kotoa pē ʻi he kau taulaʻeiki, pea kiate kinautolu kotoa pē naʻe lau ʻi honau hokohoko ʻi he kau Livai.
For the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who were in the fields of the villages belonging to their cities, or in every city, there were men assigned by name to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all who were listed in the records of their ancestors as being among the Levites.
20 Pea naʻe fai pehē pe ʻe Hesekaia ʻi Siuta kotoa pē, ʻo ne fai ʻaia naʻe lelei mo angatonu mo moʻoni ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko hono ʻOtua.
Hezekiah did this throughout all Judah. He accomplished what was good, right, and faithful before Yahweh, his God.
21 Pea ko e ngāue kotoa pē naʻa ne hoko ʻo fai ʻi he ngāue ʻoe fale ʻoe ʻOtua, pea ʻi he fono, pea ʻi he ngaahi fekau, ke kumi ki hono ʻOtua, naʻa ne fai ia ʻaki hono loto kotoa, pea naʻa ne monūʻia ai.
In every project that he began in the service of the house of God, the law, and the commandments, to seek his God, he performed it with all his heart, and he succeeded.
