1 Pea naʻe toki kamata ʻe Solomone ke langa ʻae fale ʻo Sihova ʻi Selūsalema, ʻi he Moʻunga ko Molia, ʻaia naʻe hā ai ʻa Sihova ki heʻene tamai ko Tevita, ʻi he potu naʻe teuteu ʻe Tevita ʻi he fale hahaʻanga uite ʻo Olinani ko e tangata Sepusi.
Then Solomon began to build the LORD’s house at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared to David his father, which he prepared in the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2 Pea naʻa ne kamata langa fale ʻi hono ua ʻoe [ʻaho ]ʻi hono ua ʻoe māhina, pea ʻi hono fā ʻoe taʻu ʻo ʻene pule.
He began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
3 Pea ko eni ia ʻae ngaahi meʻa naʻe akonaki ai ʻa Solomone ʻi he langa hake ʻae fale ʻoe ʻOtua. Ko hono lōloa ʻi he lau hono hanga ʻi he ʻuluaki fuofua, ko e hanga ʻe teau ma uofulu, pea ko hono māukupu ko e hanga ʻe fāngofulu.
Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of God’s house: the length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the width twenty cubits.
4 Pea ko hono lōloa ʻoe hūʻanga fale fakamalumalu ʻaia naʻe ʻi he ʻao [ʻoe fale], naʻe tatau ia mo hono māukupu ʻoe fale ko e hanga ʻe fāngofulu, pea ko hono māʻolunga ko e uangeau ma fāngofulu: pea naʻa ne ʻaofi ia ʻi loto ʻaki ʻae koula haohaoa.
The porch that was in front, its length, across the width of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height one hundred twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
5 Pea ko e fale lahi naʻa ne ʻato ʻaki ʻae ʻakau ko e paini, ʻaia naʻa ne ʻaofi ʻaki ʻae koula lelei, mo ne tongitongi ai ʻae ngaahi ʻakau ʻi he faʻahinga ponga, mo e ngāue fihifihi.
He made the larger room with a ceiling of cypress wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains.
6 Pea naʻa ne teuteuʻi ʻae fale ʻaki ʻae ngaahi maka mahuʻinga ke matamatalelei: pea ko hono koula ko e koula mei Palevaimi.
He decorated the house with precious stones for beauty. The gold was gold from Parvaim.
7 Naʻa ne ʻaofi foki ʻae fale, ʻa hono lalanga, mo e ngaahi pou, pea mo hono ngaahi holisi ʻo ia, mo hono ngaahi matapā, ʻaki ʻae koula; pea naʻe tongitongi ʻae ngaahi selupi ki he holisi fale.
He also overlaid the house, the beams, the thresholds, its walls, and its doors with gold, and engraved cherubim on the walls.
8 Pea naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae fale toputapu lahi, pea naʻe tatau ʻae lōloa ʻo ia mo hono māukupu ʻoe fale, ko e hanga ʻe fāngofulu, pea ko hono māukupu ʻo ia ko e hanga ʻe fāngofulu: pea naʻa ne ʻaofi ia ʻaki ʻae koula lelei, ko e taleniti ʻe onongeau.
He made the most holy place. Its length, according to the width of the house, was twenty cubits, and its width twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
9 Pea ko hono mamafa ʻoe ngaahi faʻo ko e sikeli koula ʻe nimangofulu. Pea naʻa ne ʻaofi ʻaki ʻae koula ʻae ngaahi potu fale ki ʻolunga.
The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper rooms with gold.
10 Pea ʻi he fale toputapu lahi naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae ongo selupi, ko e meʻa fakatātā, mo ne ʻaofi ia ʻaki ʻae koula.
In the most holy place he made two cherubim by carving, and they overlaid them with gold.
11 Pea ko hono lōloa ʻoe kapakau ʻoe ongo selupi ko e hanga ʻe fāngofulu: ko e kapakau ʻe taha ko e hanga ia ʻe hongofulu, pea naʻe aʻu atu ia ki he holisi fale, pea ko e kapakau ʻe taha ko e hanga ia foki ʻe hongofulu, pea naʻe aʻu atu ia ki he kapakau ʻoe selupi ʻe taha.
The wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
12 Pea ko e kapakau ʻe taha ʻoe selupi ʻe taha ko e hanga ʻe hongofulu, pea naʻe aʻu atu ia ki he holisi fale, pea ko hono kapakau foki ʻe taha ko e hanga ʻe hongofulu, pea naʻe fetuʻutaki ia mo e kapakau ʻoe selupi ʻe taha.
The wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, joining to the wing of the other cherub.
The wings of these cherubim spread themselves out twenty cubits. They stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.
14 Pea naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae puipui ʻaki ʻae lanumoana mo e kulokula mo e kulaʻahoʻaho, mo e tupenu lelei, pea naʻa ne ʻai ʻae ongo selupi ki ai.
He made the veil of blue, purple, crimson, and fine linen, and ornamented it with cherubim.
15 Naʻa ne ngaohi foki ʻi he muʻa fale ʻae ongo pou ʻe ua ko hona māʻolunga ko e hanga ʻe fitungofulu, pea ko e ʻuluʻi pou naʻe ʻi he pou taki taha, ko e hanga ia ʻe hongofulu taki taha.
Also he made before the house two pillars thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
16 Pea naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae kahoa fihifihi, ʻo tatau mo ia naʻe ʻi he folofolaʻanga, mo ne ʻai ia ki he ngaahi ʻuluʻi pou: pea naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae ngaahi pomikanite ʻe teau mo ne ʻai ia ki he ngaahi kahoa fihifihi.
He made chains in the inner sanctuary, and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
17 Pea naʻa ne fokotuʻu ʻae ongo pou ʻi he ʻao ʻoe faletapu, ko e taha ki he nima toʻomataʻu, pea ko e taha ki he toʻohema: pea naʻa ne ui ʻae hingoa ʻo ia ki he nima toʻomataʻu ko Sakini, pea ko e hingoa ʻo ia ʻi he toʻohema ko Poasi.
He set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
