< 1 Kolinitō 6 >
1 ʻOku mou pehē, ʻoku ngofua ia kiate kimoutolu, ʻo kapau ʻoku ai ha meʻa ki ha tokotaha, ke fakamaau ia ʻi he ʻao ʻoe taʻeangatonu, kae ʻikai ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kāinga māʻoniʻoni?
Dare anyone of you, having a matter with the other, go to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the holy ones?
2 ʻIkai ʻoku mou ʻilo ʻe fakamaau ʻa māmani ʻe he kakai māʻoniʻoni? Pea kapau ʻe fakamaau ʻa māmani ʻekimoutolu, ʻoku taʻetaau ʻakimoutolu ke fakamaau ʻae ngaahi meʻa siʻi?
Have you not known that the holy ones will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy of the smaller judgments?
3 ʻIkai ʻoku mou ʻilo te tau fakamaau ʻae kau ʻāngelo? Pea ʻikai ʻe muʻa hake lahi ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻoe moʻui ni?
Have you not known that we will judge messengers? Why not then the things of life?
4 Pea kapau ʻoku ai ha fakamaau ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻoe moʻui ni, pea ʻoku mou fili [ke fai ia ]ʻekinautolu ʻoku māʻulalo hifo ʻi he siasi?
Of the things of life, indeed, then, if you may have judgment, those despised in the Assembly—these you cause to sit;
5 ʻOku ou lea ko homou fakamā. [He ]ʻoku pehē koā, ʻoku ʻikai ʻaupito ha tokotaha poto ʻiate kimoutolu? ʻOku ʻikai ha tokotaha ʻoku faʻa fai ke fakamaau ki hono ngaahi kāinga?
I speak to your shame: so there is not among you one wise man, not even one, who will be able to discern in the midst of his brothers!
6 Ka ʻoku fefakamaauʻaki ʻae kāinga mo e kāinga, pea fai ia ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kau taʻetui?
But brother with brother goes to be judged, and this before unbelievers!
7 Pea ko eni, ʻoku ai ʻae kovi lahi ʻiate kimoutolu, koeʻuhi ʻoku mou fefakamaauʻaki ʻakimoutolu. Ko e hā muʻa ʻoku ʻikai ai te mou kātaki ʻae kovi? Ko e hā muʻa ʻoku ʻikai ai te mou kātaki homou fakamālohiʻi?
Already, indeed, then, there is altogether a fault among you, that you have judgments with one another; why do you not rather suffer injustice? Why not be defrauded?
8 Tā ko e moʻoni ʻoku mou fai hala, pea fakamālohi, ʻio, ki he kāinga foki.
But you do injustice, and you defraud, and these—brothers!
9 ʻIkai ʻoku mou ʻilo, ʻe ʻikai hoko ʻe he taʻefaitotonu ki he puleʻanga ʻoe ʻOtua? ʻOua naʻa kākaaʻi ʻakimoutolu: ko e kau feʻauaki, mo e kau tauhi tamapua, mo e kau tono fefine, mo e kau moʻui fakafiemālie, mo e kau fiefai fakalieliaʻaki ʻiate kinautolu,
Have you not known that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,
10 Mo e kau kaihaʻa, mo e manumanu, mo e kau faʻa kona, mo e kau lea kovi, mo e kau fakamālohi, ʻe ʻikai te nau lavaʻi ʻae puleʻanga ʻoe ʻOtua.
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God.
11 Pea naʻe pehē pe homou niʻihi; ka kuo fufulu ʻakimoutolu, ka kuo fakatapui ʻakimoutolu, ka kuo fakatonuhia ʻakimoutolu, ʻi he huafa ʻoe ʻEiki ko Sisu, pea ʻi he Laumālie ʻo hotau ʻOtua.
And certain of you were these! But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were declared righteous, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
12 “ʻOku ngofua ʻae meʻa kotoa pē kiate au, “ka ʻoku ʻikai ʻaonga ʻae meʻa kotoa pē: ʻoku ngofua ʻae meʻa kotoa pē kiate au, ka ʻe ʻikai faiekina au ʻe he meʻa ʻe taha.
All things are lawful to me, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful to me, but I will not be under authority by any;
13 Ko e ngaahi meʻakai ki he fatu, mo e fatu ki he ngaahi meʻakai: ka ʻe fakaʻauha ia fakatouʻosi ʻe he ʻOtua. Ka ʻoku ʻikai ki he feʻauaki ʻae sino, ka ki he ʻEiki; pea mo e ʻEiki ki he sino.
the meats [are] for the belly, and the belly for the meats. And God will make useless both this and these; and the body [is] not for whoredom, but for the LORD, and the LORD for the body;
14 Pea kuo fokotuʻu hake ʻe he ʻOtua ʻae ʻEiki, pea te ne fokotuʻu hake ʻakimoutolu foki ʻi hono mālohi ʻoʻona.
and God raised both the LORD, and will raise us up through His power.
15 ʻIkai ʻoku mou ʻilo, ko homou sino ko e ngaahi kupu ia ʻo Kalaisi? Pea te u ʻave eni ʻae ngaahi kupu ʻo Kalaisi, ʻo ngaohi ia ko e ngaahi kupu ʻoe faʻa feʻauaki? ʻIkai ʻaupito.
Have you not known that your bodies are members of Christ? Having taken, then, the members of the Christ, will I make [them] members of a prostitute? Let it not be!
16 Ko e hā? ʻikai ʻoku mou ʻilo, ko ia kuo hoko ki he faʻa feʻauaki, ʻoku sino taha? He ʻoku pehē ʻe ia, “ʻE hoko ʻae toko ua ko e kakano pe taha.”
Have you not known that he who is joined to the prostitute is one body? For it says, “The two will be into one flesh.”
17 Ka ko ia kuo hoko ki he ʻEiki, ko e laumālie pe taha.
And he who is joined to the LORD is one spirit;
18 Puna mei he feʻauaki. Ko e angahala fulipē ʻoku fai ʻe he tangata, ʻoku ʻituʻa ʻi he sino, ka ko ia ʻoku fai feʻauaki, ʻoku fai angahala ia ki hono sino ʻoʻona.
flee the whoredom; every sin—whatever a man may commit—is outside the body, and he who is committing whoredom sins against his own body.
19 Ko e hā? ʻIkai ʻoku mou ʻilo, ko homou sino ko e fale tapu ʻoe Laumālie Māʻoniʻoni, ʻoku ʻiate kimoutolu, ʻaia ʻoku mou maʻu mei he ʻOtua, pea ʻoku ʻikai ʻamoutolu ʻakimoutolu?
Have you not known that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, which you have from God? And you are not your own,
20 He kuo fakatauʻakimoutolu ʻaki ʻae totongi: ko ia ke fakaongolelei ʻae ʻOtua ʻi homou sino, pea ʻi homou laumālie, ʻaia ʻoku ʻoe ʻOtua.
for you were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
