1 Naʻe pehē ʻae lau hake ʻa ʻIsileli kotoa pē ʻo hangē ko honau ngaahi toʻutangata; pea vakai, naʻe tohi ia ʻi he tohi ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli mo Siuta, ʻakinautolu naʻe ʻave ki Papilone koeʻuhi ko ʻenau angahala.
So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and behold, they [were] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, [who] were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.
2 Pea ko eni, ko e kakai naʻe fuofua nofo ki honau fonua mo honau ngaahi kolo, ko e kakai ʻIsileli, ko e kau taulaʻeiki, mo e kau Livai, pea mo e kau Netinimi.
Now the first inhabitants that [dwelt] in their possessions in their cities [were], the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.

And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;
4 Ko Utei ko e foha ʻo ʻAmihuti, ko e foha ʻo Omili, ko e foha ʻo Imili, ko e foha ʻo Pani, ʻi he fānau ʻa Felesi ko e foha ʻo Siuta.
Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pharez the son of Judah.
5 Pea mei he kakai Sailo: Ko e ʻuluaki fānau ko ʻAsaia, mo hono ngaahi foha ʻoʻona.
And of the Shilonites; Asaiah the first-born, and his sons.
6 Pea mei he ngaahi foha ʻo Sela; ko Siueli, mo honau ngaahi kāinga ʻe toko onongeau ma toko hivangofulu.
And of the sons of Zerah; Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
7 Pea mei he ngaahi foha ʻo Penisimani; ko Salu ko e foha ʻo Mesulami, ko e foha ʻo Hotevia, ko e foha ʻo Hasinua,
And of the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hasenuah,
8 Mo Ipinaia ko e foha ʻo Silohami, mo Ela ko e foha ʻo Usi, ko e foha ʻo Mikili, mo Mesulami ko e foha ʻo Sifatia, ko e foha ʻo Liueli, ko e foha ʻo Ipinisa;
And Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;
9 Pea mo honau kāinga, ʻo fakatatau mo honau ngaahi toʻutangata, ko e toko hivangeau mo e toko nimangofulu ma ono. Ko kinautolu ni kotoa pē ko e kau tuʻukimuʻa ʻi he kau mātuʻa ʻi he fale ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai.
And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men [were] chief of the fathers in the house of their fathers.
10 Pea ʻi he kau taulaʻeiki: ko Sitaia, mo Sikoialipe, mo Sakini,
And of the priests; Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,
11 Mo ʻAsalia ko e foha ʻo Hilikia, ko e foha ʻo Mesulami, ko e foha ʻo Satoki, ko e foha ʻo Milaioti, ko e foha ʻo ʻAhitupi, ʻaia naʻe pule ʻi he fale ʻoe ʻOtua;
And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;
12 Mo ʻAtaia ko e foha ʻo Silohami, ko e foha ʻo Pasuli, ko e foha ʻo Malikisa, mo Masei ko e foha ʻo ʻAtieli, ko e foha ʻo Sasela, ko e foha ʻo Mesulami, ko e foha ʻo Mesilimiti, ko e foha ʻo Imeli.
And Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasiai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;
13 Pea mo honau kāinga, ko e kau mātuʻa ʻi he fale ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai, ko e toko taha afe mo e toko fitungeau ma onongofulu; ko e kau tangata toʻa lahi ʻaupito ʻi he fai ʻae ngāue ʻi he fale ʻoe ʻOtua.
And their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and sixty; very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 Pea ʻoe kau Livai: ko Simaia ko e foha ʻo Hasupi, ko e foha ʻo ʻAsilikami, ko e foha ʻo Hasapia, ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻo Melali;
And of the Levites; Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;
15 Mo Pakipaka, mo Helesi, mo Kalali, mo Matania ko e foha ʻo Maika, ko e foha ʻo Sikili, ko e foha ʻo ʻAsafi;
And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;
16 Mo ʻOpataia ko e foha ʻo Simaia, ko e foha ʻo Kalali, ko e foha ʻo Situtuni, mo Pelekia ko e foha ʻo ʻAsa, ko e foha ʻo ʻElikena, ʻaia naʻe nofo ʻi he ngaahi kolo siʻi ʻoe kakai Nitofa.
And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Pea ko e kau leʻo matapā eni: ko Salumi, mo ʻAkupi, mo Talimoni, mo ʻAhimani, pea mo honau kāinga: ko honau ʻeiki ʻa Salumi;
And the porters [were] Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum [was] the chief;
18 Naʻa nau faʻa nofo ʻi he matapā ʻoe tuʻi ki he feituʻu hahake: pea naʻa nau leʻo matapā ʻi he ngaahi lakanga ʻoe fānau ʻa Livai.
Who hitherto [waited] in the king's gate eastward: they [were] porters in the companies of the children of Levi.
19 Pea ko Salumi ko e foha ʻo Kole, ko e foha ʻo Epiasafi, ko e foha ʻo Kola, pea mo hono kāinga, ʻi he fale ʻo ʻene tamai, ko e kau Kola, naʻe pule ki he ngāue ʻoe tauhi, ko e kau leʻo matapā ʻakinautolu ʻi he fale fehikitaki: pea ko ʻenau ngaahi tamai, ʻaia naʻe pule ki he kautau ʻo Sihova, naʻa nau leʻohi ʻae hūʻanga ki he fale.
And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren of the house of his father, the Korahites, [were] over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, [being] over the host of the LORD, [were] keepers of the entry.
20 Pea naʻe pule ʻi muʻa kiate kinautolu ʻa Finiasi ko e foha ʻo ʻEliesa, pea naʻe kau ʻa Sihova kiate ia.
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, [and] the LORD [was] with him.
21 Pea ko Sakalia ko e foha ʻo Mesilimia, naʻe leʻohi ia ʻi he matapā ʻoe fale fehikitaki ʻoe fakataha.
[And] Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah [was] porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22 Ko kinautolu kotoa pē naʻe fili ke leʻohi ʻae ngaahi matapā, ko e toko uangeau ma hongofulu ma ua. naʻe lau hake ʻakinautolu ni ʻo tatau mo honau hohoko ʻi honau ngaahi kolo siʻi, ʻakinautolu naʻe fakanofo ʻe Tevita mo Samuela ko e tangata kikite ki heʻenau ngāue totonu.
All these [who were] chosen to be porters in the gates [were] two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer ordained in their set office.
23 Ko ia, naʻe ʻanautolu mo ʻenau fānau ʻae leʻohi ʻoe ngaahi matapā ʻoe fale ʻo Sihova, ʻae fale fehikitaki, ʻo fai fakalakanga.
So they and their children [had] the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, [namely], the house of the tabernacle, by wards.
24 Naʻe fakanofo ʻae kau leʻo ki he feituʻu ʻe fā, ki he feituʻu hahake, mo e lulunga, mo e tokelau, pea mo e tonga.
In four quarters were the porters, towards the east, west, north and south.
25 Pea ko honau kāinga naʻe nofo ʻi he ngaahi kolo siʻi, naʻe haʻu fakalakalaka mo kinautolu ʻi he hili ʻae ʻaho ʻe fitu.
And their brethren, [who were] in their villages, [were] to come after seven days from time to time with them.
26 He ko e kau Livai ko eni, ʻae toko fā naʻe pule ki he kau leʻo matapā, naʻe ai ʻenau ngāue totonu ʻanautolu, pea naʻa nau pule ki he ngaahi feleoko pea mo e ngaahi tukunga koloa ʻi he fale ʻoe ʻOtua.
For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in [their] set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
27 Pea naʻa nau nofo takatakai hake ʻi he fale ʻoe ʻOtua, koeʻuhi naʻe ʻiate kinautolu ʻae ngāue, pea naʻe ʻiate kinautolu ke fakaava ia ʻi he pongipongi kotoa pē.
And they lodged about the house of God, because the charge [was] upon them, and the opening of it every morning [pertained] to them.
28 Pea naʻe ʻi honau niʻihi ʻae tokanga ki he ngaahi ipu ʻoe ngāue, ke ʻanautolu ʻa hono lau mo hono feʻaveʻaki ki loto mo tuʻa.
And [certain] of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by number.
29 Naʻe ʻanautolu niʻihi foki ʻae tokanga ki he ngaahi ipu, mo e ngaahi nāunau ʻoe faletapu, mo e mahoaʻa lelei, mo e uaine, mo e lolo, mo e meʻa namu kakala, mo e ngaahi fuaʻi ʻakau nanamu.
[Some] of them also [were] appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30 Pea naʻe ngaohi ʻae lolo tākai, ʻe he niʻihi ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki, mei he ngaahi meʻa namu kakala.
And [some] of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.
31 Pea naʻe ʻia Matitia, ko e taha ʻoe kau Livai, pea ko e ʻuluaki foha ʻo Salumi ko e tangata Kola, ʻae ngāue totonu ki he ngaahi meʻa naʻe ngaohi ʻi he ngaahi ipu lafalafa.
And Mattithiah, [one] of the Levites, who [was] the first-born of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.
32 Pea ko honau kāinga niʻihi ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻoe kakai Kohate, naʻe ʻanautolu ʻae tokanga ki he mā ʻoe ʻao, ke teuteu ia ʻi he ʻaho tapu kotoa pē.
And [others] of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, [were] over the show-bread, to prepare [it] every sabbath.
33 Pea ko kinautolu ni ko e kau fasi hiva, ko e tuʻukimuʻa ʻi he kau mātuʻa ʻoe kakai Livai, pea naʻa nau nofo ʻataʻatā pe ʻi he ngaahi potu fale: he naʻa nau fai ʻae ngāue ko ia ʻi he ʻaho mo e pō.
And these [are] the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, [who remaining] in the chambers [were] free: for they were employed in [that] work day and night.
34 Ko kinautolu ni naʻe tuʻukimuʻa ʻi he kau mātuʻa ʻoe kakai Livai, pea naʻa nau ʻeiki hake ʻi honau ngaahi toʻutangata; pea naʻe nofo ʻakinautolu ni ʻi Selūsalema.
These chief fathers of the Levites [were] chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.
35 Pea naʻe nofo ʻi Kipione ʻae tamai ʻa Kipione, ʻa Sehieli, pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono uaifi ko Meaka:
And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife's name [was] Maachah:
36 Pea ko hono ʻuluaki foha ko ʻApitoni, pea hoko mo ia ʻa Suli, mo Kisi, mo Peali, mo Nea, mo Natapi,
And his first-born son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
37 Mo Kitoa, mo ʻAhio, mo Sakalia mo Mikiloti.
And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38 Pea naʻe tupu ʻia Mikiloti ʻa Simiami Pea naʻa nau nofo foki mo honau kāinga ʻi Selūsalema, ʻo fehangatonu atu ki honau kāinga.
And Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
39 Pea naʻe tupu ʻia Nea ʻa Kisi: pea naʻe tupu ʻia Kisi ʻa Saula; pea naʻe tupu ʻia Saula ʻa Sonatane, mo Malikisua mo ʻApinatapi, mo Esipeali.
And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
40 Pea ko e foha ʻo Sonatane ʻa Milipipeali: pea naʻe tupu ʻi Milipipeali ʻa Maika.
And the son of Jonathan [was] Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begat Micah.
41 Pea ko e ngaahi foha eni ʻo Maika; ko Pitoni, mo Meleki, mo Talia, [mo ʻAhasi].
And the sons of Micah [were], Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, [and Ahaz].
42 Pea naʻe tupu ʻia ʻAhasi ʻa Sala; pea tupu ʻia Sala ʻa ʻAlemeti, mo ʻAsimaveti, mo Simili; pea naʻe tupu ʻia Simili ʻa Mosa;
And Ahaz begat Jarah; and Jarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;
43 Pea naʻe tupu ʻia Mosa ʻa Pinia; mo Lefaia ko hono foha, mo Elasa ko hono foha ʻoʻona, mo ʻAseli ko hono foha ʻoʻona.
And Moza begat Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
44 Pea naʻe maʻu ʻe ʻAseli ʻae ngaahi foha ʻe toko ono, pea ko honau hingoa eni; ko ʻAsilikami, mo Pokilu, mo ʻIsimeʻeli, mo Sialia, mo ʻOpataia, mo Hanani: ko kinautolu ni ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻAseli.
And Azel had six sons, whose names [are] these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these [were] the sons of Azel.
