< 1 Meʻa Hokohoko 24 >
1 Ko eni ia ʻae ngaahi lakanga ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo ʻElone. Ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻElone eni: ko Natapi, mo ʻApiu, mo ʻEliesa, pea mo ʻItama.
Now, the sons of Aaron, had their courses, —the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar;
2 Ka naʻe mate ʻa Natapi pea mo ʻApia ʻi he teʻeki ke mate ʻa ʻena tamai, pea naʻe ʻikai haʻana fānau: pea ko ia naʻe fai ai ʻe ʻEliesa mo ʻItama ʻae ngāue fakataulaʻeiki.
but Nadab and Abihu, died, before their father, and sons, had they none, —but Eleazar and Ithamar became priests;
3 Pea naʻe vahevaheʻi ʻakinautolu ʻe Tevita, ʻio, ʻa Satoki ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo ʻEliesa, pea mo ʻAhimeleki ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo ʻItama, ʻo fakatatau mo ʻenau ngaahi ngāue ʻi he tauhi naʻa nau fai.
and David apportioned to them courses, both to Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and to Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, —by their appointed place in their service.
4 Pea naʻe tokolahi hake ʻae kau tangataʻeiki naʻe ʻilo ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻEliesa ʻiate kinautolu ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo ʻItama; pea naʻe pehē ni ʻa hono vahevaheʻi ʻakinautolu. ʻI he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻEliesa naʻe ai ʻae kau tangata ʻe toko hongofulu ma toko ono naʻe ʻeiki hake ʻi he fale ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai, pea ko e toko valu ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻItama ʻo fakatatau mo e fale ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai.
But the sons of Eleazar were found to be more numerous, by the chiefs of their able men, than were the sons of Ithamar, so they divided them, —the sons of Eleazar, had chiefs, of the ancestral house, sixteen, whereas, the sons of Ithamar, had of their ancestral house, eight.
5 Naʻe pehē ni ʻae vahevahe ʻakinautolu ʻi he talotalo, ko e faʻahinga mo e faʻahinga; he naʻe fili mei he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻEliesa, pea mei he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻItama ʻae kau pule ki he faletapu, mo e kau pule ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻae ʻOtua.
They divided them, therefore, by [casting] lots, these with those, —for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, from among the sons of Eleazar, and among the sons of Ithamar.
6 Pea naʻe tohi ʻakinautolu ʻe Simaia ko e foha ʻo Netanili ko e tangata tohi, ko e taha ʻi he kau Livai, ʻi he ʻao ʻoe tuʻi, mo e houʻeiki, pea mo Satoki ko e taulaʻeiki, mo ʻAhimeleki ko e foha ʻo ʻApiata, pea ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kau mātuʻa ʻeiki naʻe ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai: naʻe fili ʻae fale ʻe taha ʻoe kau mātuʻa maʻa ʻEliesa, pea ko e taha maʻa ʻItama.
And Shemaiah son of Nethanel the scribe from among the Levites, wrote them down, before the king and the rulers and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the ancestral chiefs, pertaining to the priests and to the Levites, —one ancestral house, was taken for Eleazar, and, was equally taken, for Ithamar.
7 Pea ko eni naʻe toʻo mai ʻae fuofua talotalo kia Sihoialipe, pea ko hono ua kia Sitaia,

for Jachin, the twenty-first, for Gamul, the twenty-second;
18 Ko hono uofulu ma tolu kia Tilaia, pea ko hono uofulu ma fā kia Measia.
for Delaiah, the twenty-third, for Maaziah, the twenty-fourth.
19 Ko hono vahevahe ia ʻokinautolu ʻi heʻenau ngāue ke haʻu ki fale ʻo Sihova, ʻo fakatatau ki honau anga, ʻi he muimui kia ʻElone ko ʻenau tamai, ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe fekauʻi ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli kiate ia.
These, were their appointed places for their service, for entering the house of Yahweh, according to the regulation of them, by the hand of Aaron their father, —just as Yahweh God of Israel, commanded him.
20 Pea ko hono toe ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo Livai eni: ʻI he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻAmilami: ko Supaeli: ʻi he ngaahi foha, ʻo Supaeli; ko Setia.
Now, as for the sons of Levi who remained, of the sons of Amram, Shubael, of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

and, the sons [of Hebron], Jeriah, —Amariah, the second, Jehaziel, the third, Jekameam, the fourth;
24 Pea ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo ʻUsili; ko Maika; pea ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻo Maika ʻa Samili.
the sons of Uzziel, Micah, of the sons of Micah, Shamir;
25 Ko e tokoua ʻo Maika ʻa Isia: pea ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo Isia; ko Sakalia.
the brother of Micah, Isshiah, of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
26 Ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Melali, ko Mali mo Musi: ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Saesia; ko Pino.
The sons of Merari, Mahli and Mushi, —the sons of Jaaziah, Beno;
27 Ko e ngaahi foha eni ʻo Malali ʻia Saesia; ko Pino, mo Sohami, mo Sakuli, pea mo Ipili.
the sons of Merari, of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham and Zaccur and Ibri:
28 Naʻe tupu ʻia Mali ʻa Eliasa, pea naʻe ʻikai hano foha ʻoʻona.
of Mahli, Eleazar, who had no sons;
29 Pea koeʻuhi ko Kisi: ko e foha ʻo Kisi ʻa Silamili.
of Kish—the sons of Kish, Jerameel;
30 Pea ko e ngaahi foha foki ʻo Musi; ko Mali, mo Iteli, pea mo Selimoti. Ko e ngaahi foha eni ʻoe kau Livai ʻo fakatatau mo e fale ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai.
and, the sons of Mushi, Mahli and Eder and Jerimoth. These, were the sons of the Levites, belonging to their ancestral house.
31 Naʻe fefaiʻaki ʻae talotalo ʻekinautolu mo honau kāinga ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻElone, ʻi he ʻao ʻo Tevita ko e tuʻi, mo Satoki, mo ʻAhimeleki, mo e kau tuʻukimuʻa ʻi he kau mātuʻa ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai, ʻio, [naʻe fai felakaaki ]ʻe he kau mātuʻa mo honau ngaahi kāinga talavou.
Moreover, they also, cast lots along with their brethren the sons of Aaron, before David the king and Zadok and Ahimelech, and the ancestral chiefs, pertaining to the priests and to the Levites, the ancestral chief along with his younger brethren.
