The sons of Japheth, Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech and Tiras.

And, the sons of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.

7 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Savani; ko ʻElaisa, mo Taʻasisi, mo Kitimi, mo Totenimi.

And, the sons of Javan, Elishah, and Tarshish, —Kittim, and Rodanim.

8 Pea ko e ngaahi foha eni ʻo Hami ko Kusa, mo Misilemi, mo Futi, mo Kēnani.

The sons of Ham, Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9 Pea ko e ngaahi foha eni ʻo Kusa; ko Sipa, mo Havila, mo Sapita, mo Leama, mo Sapetika. Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Leama; ko Sipa, mo Titani.

And, the sons of Cush, Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. And, the sons of Raamah, Sheba, and Dedan.

10 Pea naʻe tupu ʻia Kusa ʻa Nimilote pea naʻe kamata ongoongo lahi ia ʻi māmani.

And, Cush, begat Nimrod, —he, began to be a mighty one in the earth.

And, Mizraim, begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

and Pathrusim, and Casluhim—whence went forth the Philistines, and Caphtorim.

And, Arpachshad, begat Shelah, —and, Shelah, begat Eber.

19 Pea naʻe fanauʻi ʻae foha ʻe toko ua kia Ipela: ko e hingoa ʻoe tokotaha ko Peleki; koeʻuhi naʻe vahevahe ʻa māmani ʻi hono ngaahi ʻaho ʻoʻona: pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono tokoua ko Sokitani.

And, unto Eber, were born two sons, —the name of the one, was Peleg, for, in his days, was the earth divided, and, the name of his brother, was Joktan.

20 Pea naʻe tupu ʻia Sokitani ʻa ʻAlimotate, mo Silefi, mo Hesamavete, mo Sela,

And, Joktan, begat Almodad, and Sheleph, —and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;

21 Ko Hatolame foki, mo Usali, mo Tikila,

and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;

22 Mo Ipale, mo ʻApimaeli, mo Sipa,

and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba;

and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these, were the sons of Joktan.

24 Ko Semi, mo ʻAfakisate, mo Sela,

Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah;

25 Ko Ipale, mo Peleki, mo Liu,

Eber, Peleg, Reu;

26 Ko Seluke, mo Nehoa, mo Tela,

Serug, Nahor, Terah;

27 Ko ʻEpalame; ko ia foki ko ʻEpalahame.

Abram—the same, is Abraham.

The sons of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael.

32 Pea ko eni ʻae ngaahi tama ʻo Ketula ko e fefine sinifu ʻo ʻEpalahame: naʻe fanauʻi ʻe ia ʻa Similai, mo Sokesani, mo Metani, mo Mitiane, mo Isipaka, mo Suaa. Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Sokesani ko Sipa, mo Titani.

And, the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham, she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah, —and, the sons of Jokshan, Sheba, and Dedan;

33 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Mitiane; ko ʻEfaa, mo ʻEfee, mo Henoke, mo ʻApaita, mo Elitaa. Ko kinautolu kotoa pē ko eni ko e ngaahi tama ʻa Ketula.

and, the sons of Midian, Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these, were the sons of Keturah.

34 Pea naʻe tupu ʻia ʻEpalahame ʻa ʻAisake. Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻAisake ko ʻIsoa mo ʻIsileli.

So then Abraham begat Isaac, —the sons of Isaac, were Esau and Israel.

35 Ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻIsoa; ko ʻIlifasi, mo Leueli, mo Seusi, mo Salami, mo Ko ia.

the sons of Esau, Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.

36 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻIlifasi: ko Temani, mo Omaʻa, mo Sefa, mo Katami, mo Kinasi, mo Timina, mo ʻAmaleki.

The sons of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

37 Ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Leueli; ko Nehate, mo Sela, mo Sama, mo Misa.

The sons of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Seia; ko Lotani, mo Sopale, mo Sipione, mo Ena, mo Tisoni, mo Eseli, mo Tisani.

And, the sons of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, —and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

39 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Lotani ko Holi, mo Homani, pea ko Timina ko e tuofefine ia ʻo Lotani.

And, the sons of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, —and, Lotan’s sister, was Timna.

40 Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Sopale ko ʻAlivani, mo Maneate, mo Ipale, mo Sifo, mo Onama. Pea ko e ongo foha ʻo Sipione; ko Esaa, mo Ena.

The sons of Shobal, Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. And, the sons of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.

41 Ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Ena; ko Tisoni. Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Tisoni; ko ʻAmilami, mo Esipani, mo Itilani, mo Kilani.

The sons of Anah, Dishon, —and, the sons of Dishon, Hamran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

42 Ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Eseli; ko Pilani, mo Sefani, mo Ekani. Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Tisani; ko Usa, mo ʻElani.

The sons of Ezer, Bilhan, and Zaavan, Jaakan. The sons of Dishan, Uz and Aran.

43 Pea ko eni ia ʻae ngaahi tuʻi naʻe pule ʻi he fonua ʻo ʻItomi ʻi he teʻeki ai ha tuʻi ke pule ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli; ko Pela ko e foha ʻo Peoli: pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono kolo ʻoʻona ko Tinapa.

Now, these, are the kings, who reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned a king of the sons of Israel, —Bela the son of Beor, and, the name of his city, was Dinhabah.

44 Pea ʻi heʻene pekia ʻa Pela, naʻe hoko mo ia ʻi he pule ʻa Sopapi ko e foha ʻo Sela ʻo Posila.

And Bela died, —and there reigned in his stead, Jobab son of Zerah, of Bozrah.

45 Pea ʻi heʻene pekia ʻa Sopapi, naʻe hoko mo ia ki he pule ʻa Husami mei he fonua ʻoe kakai Temani.

And Jobab died, —and there reigned in his stead, Husham, of the land of the Temanites.

46 Pea ʻi heʻene pekia ʻa Husami, naʻe hoko mo ia ʻi he pule ʻa Hatati ko e foha ʻo Pitati, ʻaia naʻa ne teʻia ʻae kakai Mitiane ʻi he ngoue ʻo Moape: pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono kolo ʻoʻona ko ʻAviti.

And Husham died, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, and, the name of his city, was Avith.

47 Pea ʻi heʻene pekia ʻa Hatati, naʻe hoko mo ia ki he pule ʻa Samila mei Masileka.

And Hadad died, —and there reigned in his stead, Samlah of Masrekah.

48 Pea ʻi heʻene pekia ʻa Samila, naʻe hoko mo ia ki he pule ʻa Saula mei Leapote ʻi he veʻe vaitafe.

And Samlah died, —and there reigned in his stead, Shaul, of Rehoboth by the River.

49 Pea ʻi heʻene pekia ʻa Saula, naʻe hoko mo ia ki he pule ʻa Peali-Hanani ko e foha ʻo ʻAkepoa.

And Shaul died, —and there reigned in his stead, Baal-hanan, the son of Achbor.

50 Pea ʻi heʻene pekia ʻa Peali-Hanani, naʻe hoko mo ia ki he pule ʻa Hatati: pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono kolo ʻoʻona ko Pau; pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono uaifi ko Mehetepeli, ko e taʻahine ʻa Matileti, ko e taʻahine ʻa Mesaʻapi.

And Baal-hanan died, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad, and, the name of his city, was Pai, —and, the name of his wife, was Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

51 Naʻe pekia foki ʻa Hatati. Pea ko e ngaahi ʻeiki eni ʻo ʻItomi; ko e ʻeiki ko Timina, ko e ʻeiki ko Elia, mo e ʻeiki ko Seteli,

And Hadad died. And there were chiefs of Edom: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth;

52 Ko e ʻeiki ko ʻAholipama, mo e ʻeiki ko Ela, mo e ʻeiki ko Pinoni,

chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon;

53 Ko e ʻeiki ko Kinasi, mo e ʻeiki ko Temani, mo e ʻeiki ko Mipisali,

chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar;

54 Ko e ʻeiki ko Makiteli, mo e ʻeiki ko ʻIlami. Ko e ngaahi ʻeiki eni ʻo ʻItomi.

chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These, were the chiefs of Edom.
