కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 53

1 ౧ ప్రధాన సంగీతకారుని కోసం. మహలతు రాగంలో దావీదు రాసిన దైవధ్యానం. దేవుడు లేడు అని బుద్ధిహీనులు తమ హృదయంలో అనుకుంటారు. వారు చెడిపోయారు, అసహ్యకార్యాలు చేస్తారు. మంచి జరిగించేవాడు ఒక్కడూ లేడు.

To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David. The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: [there is] none that doeth good.

2 ౨ జ్ఞానం కలిగి తనను వెదికేవారు ఉన్నారేమో అని దేవుడు ఆకాశం నుండి మనుషులను పరిశీలించాడు.

God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were [any] that did understand, that did seek God.

3 ౩ వారంతా దారి తప్పి పూర్తిగా చెడిపోయారు. మంచి చేసే వాడు లేడు. ఒక్కడూ లేడు.

Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; [there is] none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 ౪ వారు దేవునికి ప్రార్థన చేయరు. వారు నా ప్రజలను దోచుకున్నారు. వారికి ఏమీ తెలియడం లేదా?

Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people [as] they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

5 ౫ భయకారణం లేకుండానే వారు భయభ్రాంతులయ్యారు. ఎందుకంటే నీకు వ్యతిరేకంగా పోగయ్యే వారి ఎముకలను దేవుడు విరగ్గొడతాడు. దేవుడు వారిని తోసిపుచ్చాడు కాబట్టి వారు సిగ్గుపడతారు.

There were they in great fear, [where] no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth [against] thee: thou hast put [them] to shame, because God hath despised them.

6 ౬ సీయోనులో నుండి ఇశ్రాయేలుకు రక్షణ కలుగుతుంది. దేవుడు తన ప్రజలను చెరలో నుండి వెనక్కి రప్పించేటప్పుడు యాకోబు సంతానం హర్షిస్తుంది. ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు సంతోషిస్తారు.

Oh that the salvation of Israel [were come] out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
