కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 140

1 ౧ ప్రధాన సంగీతకారుని కోసం, దావీదు కీర్తన యెహోవా, దుష్టుల బారి నుండి నన్ను విడిపించు. దుర్మార్గుల చేతుల్లో పడకుండా నన్ను కాపాడు.

To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Free me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; preserve me from the violent man:

2 ౨ వాళ్ళు తమ హృదయాల్లో ప్రమాదకరమైన తలంపులు పెట్టుకుంటారు. అన్నివేళలా కలహాలు పుట్టించాలని ఎదురు చూస్తుంటారు.

Who devise mischiefs in [their] heart; every day are they banded together for war.

3 ౩ వాళ్ళు పాము నాలుకలాగా తమ నాలుకలు పదును చేసుకుంటారు. వారి పెదాల కింద పాము విషం ఉంచుకుంటారు. (సెలా)

They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. (Selah)

4 ౪ యెహోవా, దుర్మార్గుల బారిన పడకుండా నన్ను కాపాడు. దౌర్జన్యపరుల చేతిలోనుండి నన్ను రక్షించు. నన్ను పడగొట్టడానికి వాళ్ళు పథకాలు వేస్తున్నారు.

Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked [man], preserve me from the violent man, who devise to overthrow my steps.

5 ౫ గర్వాంధులు నాకోసం బోను పెట్టారు. వాళ్ళు దారి పక్కన వల పరిచారు. నన్ను బంధించడానికి ఉచ్చులు పన్నారు. (సెలా)

The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the way-side; they have set traps for me. (Selah)

6 ౬ అయితే నేను యెహోవాతో ఇలా మనవి చేసుకుంటున్నాను, యెహోవా, నా దేవుడివి నువ్వే. నా విన్నపాలు ఆలకించు.

I have said unto Jehovah, Thou art my God: give ear, O Jehovah, to the voice of my supplications.

7 ౭ యెహోవా ప్రభూ, నువ్వే నాకు ఆశ్రయమిచ్చే కోట. యుద్ధ సమయంలో నా తలకు కాపు కాసే వాడివి నువ్వే.

Jehovah, the Lord, is the strength of my salvation: thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

8 ౮ యెహోవా, భక్తిహీనుల కోరికలను నేరవేర్చకు. వాళ్ళు మిడిసిపడకుండేలా వాళ్ళ పథకాలు భగ్నం చెయ్యి. (సెలా)

Grant not, O Jehovah, the desire of the wicked; further not his device: they would exalt themselves. (Selah)

9 ౯ నా చుట్టూ మూగిన వాళ్ళ తల మీదికి వాళ్ళ మాటల ద్వారా కీడు కలుగు గాక.

[As for] the head of those that encompass me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

10 ౧౦ కణకణలాడే నిప్పులు వాళ్ళపై కురియాలి. వాళ్ళను అగ్నిగుండంలో పడవెయ్యి. ఎన్నటికీ లేవకుండా అగాధంలో పడవెయ్యి.

Let burning coals fall on them; let them be cast into the fire; into deep waters, that they rise not up again.

11 ౧౧ దూషకులకు భూమి మీద భద్రత లేకుండా పోవాలి. దుర్మార్గులను ఆపదలు వెంటాడి పడగొట్టాలి.

Let not the man of [evil] tongue be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the man of violence to [his] ruin.

12 ౧౨ బాధితుల తరపున యెహోవా వాదిస్తాడనీ. ఆయన దరిద్రులకు న్యాయం చేకూరుస్తాడని నాకు తెలుసు.

I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted one, the right of the needy.

13 ౧౩ నీతిపరులు నీ నామానికి కచ్చితంగా కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లిస్తారు. యథార్థవర్తనులు నీ సన్నిధిలో నివసిస్తారు.

Yea, the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name; the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
