కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 137

1 ౧ మనం బబులోను నదుల దగ్గర కూర్చుని ఏడుస్తూ సీయోనును జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నాం.

On the floodis of Babiloyne there we saten, and wepten; while we bithouyten on Syon.

2 ౨ అక్కడ ఉన్న నిరవంజి చెట్ల కొమ్మలకు మన తంతివాయిద్యాలు తగిలించాం.

In salewis in the myddil therof; we hangiden vp oure orguns.

3 ౩ మనలను బందీలుగా పట్టుకుని హింసిస్తున్నవాళ్ళు సీయోను కీర్తనల్లో ఒక పాట పాడండి, మేము విని ఆనందిస్తాం అన్నారు.

For thei that ledden vs prisoners; axiden vs there the wordis of songis. And thei that ledden awei vs seiden; Synge ye to vs an ympne of the songis of Syon.

4 ౪ మనం అన్యుల దేశంలో ఉంటూ యెహోవా కీర్తనలు ఎలా పాడగలం?

Hou schulen we singe a songe of the Lord; in an alien lond?

5 ౫ యెరూషలేమా, నేను నిన్ను మరచిపోతే నా కుడి చెయ్యి తన నైపుణ్యాన్ని కోల్పోతుంది గాక.

If Y foryete thee, Jerusalem; my riyt hond be youun to foryeting.

6 ౬ నేను నిన్ను జ్ఞాపకం ఉంచుకోకపోతే, నాకున్న మహానంద కారణాలకు మించి యెరూషలేమును ప్రాముఖ్యమైనదిగా ఎంచకపోతే నా నాలుక నా అంగిటికి అంటుకుంటుంది గాక.

Mi tunge cleue to my chekis; if Y bithenke not on thee. If Y purposide not of thee, Jerusalem; in the bigynnyng of my gladnesse.

7 ౭ యెహోవా, ఎదోము ప్రజలు ఏమి చేశారో జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకో. యెరూషలేము పాడైపోయిన రోజులను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకో. దాన్ని నాశనం చేయండి, సమూలంగా ధ్వంసం చెయ్యండి, అని వాళ్ళు చాటింపు వేశారు గదా.

Lord, haue thou mynde on the sones of Edom; for the dai of Jerusalem. Whiche seien, Anyntische ye, anyntische ye; `til to the foundement ther ynne.

8 ౮ నాశనం అయ్యేందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్న బబులోను కుమారీ, నువ్వు మా పట్ల జరిగించిన దుష్ట క్రియలను బట్టి నీకు ప్రతీకారం చేయబోయేవాడు ధన్యుడు.

9 ౯ నీ పసిపిల్లలను పట్టుకుని బండ కేసి కొట్టేవాడు ధన్యుడు.
