కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 129

1 ౧ యాత్రల కీర్తన ఇశ్రాయేలు ఇలా చెప్పాలి. నా యవ్వన ప్రాయం నుంచి శత్రువులు నాపై దాడి చేశారు.

A Song of Ascents. Many a time, have they harassed me from my youth, well may Israel say:

2 ౨ నా బాల్యం నుండి నాపై యుద్ధం చేస్తూ వచ్చారు. అయినా వాళ్ళు నన్ను ఓడించలేకపోయారు.

Many a time, have they harassed me from youth, yet have they not prevailed against me.

3 ౩ భూమిని దున్నినట్టు వాళ్ళు నా వీపును దున్నారు. నాకు నాగటి చాళ్ళవంటి గాయాలు చేశారు.

Upon my back, have ploughmen ploughed, They have lengthened their furrow!

4 ౪ యెహోవా న్యాయవంతుడు. దుర్మార్గుల తాళ్ళను ఆయన తెంపివేశాడు.

Yahweh, is righteous, He hath cut asunder the cords of the lawless.

5 ౫ సీయోనును ద్వేషించే వాళ్ళంతా సిగ్గుపడి, వెనుకడుగు వేస్తారు గాక.

Let all who hate Zion, be ashamed and shrink back:

6 ౬ వాళ్ళు ఇంటికప్పుపై మొలకెత్తే గడ్డిమొక్కలవలె ఉంటారు గాక. అవి ఎదిగీ ఎదగక ముందే వాడిపోతాయి.

Let them become like the grass of housetops, which, before it is pulled up, hath withered;

7 ౭ కోసేవాడి గుప్పిలిలోకైనా ఆ గడ్డి చాలదు. పనలు కట్టేవాడు దానితో తన ఒడిని నింపుకోడానికి అది చాలదు.

Wherewith no reaper, hath filled his hand, nor binder, his bosom:

8 ౮ ఆ దారిన పోయే వాళ్ళు, యెహోవా దీవెన మీపై ఉండు గాక, యెహోవా నామంలో మిమ్మల్ని దీవిస్తున్నాము అనరు గాక.

Neither have the passers-by ever said, The blessing of Yahweh, be unto you, —We have blessed you in the Name of Yahweh.
