కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 127

1 ౧ సొలొమోను రాసిన యాత్రల కీర్తన యెహోవా ఇల్లు కట్టించకపోతే దాన్ని కట్టే వారు పాటుబడడం వ్యర్ధం. యెహోవా పట్టణానికి కావలిగా ఉండకపోతే దాన్ని కాపలా కాసేవాళ్ళు నిలబడి ఉండడం వ్యర్ధం.

The song of greces of Salomon. `No but the Lord bilde the hous; thei that bilden it han trauelid in veyn. No but the Lord kepith the citee; he wakith in veyn that kepith it.

2 ౨ మీరు తెల్లారే లేచి చాలా ఆలస్యంగా ఇంటికి వస్తూ, కష్టపడి పని చేసి ఆహారం తింటూ ఉండడం వ్యర్ధం. దేవుడు తనకిష్టమైన వారికి నిద్రనిస్తున్నాడు.

It is veyn to you to rise bifore the liyt; rise ye after that ye han sete, that eten the breed of sorewe. Whanne he schal yyue sleep to his loued; lo!

3 ౩ చూడండి, పిల్లలు యెహోవా ప్రసాదించే వారసత్వం. గర్భఫలం ఆయన ఇచ్చే బహుమానం.

the eritage of the Lord `is sones, the mede is the fruyt of wombe.

4 ౪ యవ్వన కాలంలో పుట్టిన పిల్లలు శూరుడి చేతిలోని బాణాల వంటివాళ్ళు.

As arowis ben in the hond of the miyti; so the sones of hem that ben schakun out.

5 ౫ వారితో తన అంబులపొది నింపుకున్న మనిషి ధన్యుడు. వాళ్ళు గుమ్మంలో తమ విరోధులను ఎదిరించి నిలబడినప్పుడు అవమానం పాలు కారు.

Blessid is the man, that hath fillid his desier of tho; he schal not be schent, whanne he schal speke to hise enemyes in the yate.
