కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 124

1 ౧ దావీదు రాసిన యాత్రల కీర్తన ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు ఈ విధంగా చెప్పాలి. యెహోవా మనకు తోడుగా ఉండకపోతే,

A song of degrees, or Psalme of David. If the Lord had not bene on our side, (may Israel now say)

2 ౨ మనుషులు మన మీదికి ఎగబడినప్పుడు, యెహోవా మనకు తోడుగా ఉండకపోతే,

If the Lord had not bene on our side, when men rose vp against vs,

3 ౩ వాళ్ళ ఆగ్రహజ్వాలలు మనపై రగులుకున్నప్పుడు వాళ్ళు మనలను ప్రాణాలతోనే దిగమింగి ఉండేవాళ్ళు.

They had then swallowed vs vp quicke, when their wrath was kindled against vs.

4 ౪ నీళ్ళు మనలను కొట్టుకుపోయేలా చేసి ఉండేవి. ప్రవాహాలు మనలను ముంచెత్తి ఉండేవి.

Then the waters had drowned vs, and the streame had gone ouer our soule:

5 ౫ జల ప్రవాహాల పొంగు మనలను ఉక్కిరిబిక్కిరి చేసి ఉండేవి.

Then had the swelling waters gone ouer our soule.

6 ౬ వారి పళ్ళు మనలను చీల్చివేయకుండా కాపాడిన యెహోవాకు స్తుతి.

Praysed be the Lord, which hath not giuen vs as a praye vnto their teeth.

7 ౭ వేటగాడి ఉరి నుండి పక్షి తప్పించుకొన్నట్టు మన ప్రాణం తప్పించుకుంది. ఉరి తెగిపోయింది. మనం తప్పించుకున్నాము.

Our soule is escaped, euen as a bird out of the snare of the foulers: the snare is broken, and we are deliuered.

8 ౮ భూమినీ, ఆకాశాలనూ సృష్టించిన యెహోవాయే మనకు సహాయం.

Our helpe is in the Name of the Lord, which hath made heauen and earth.
