కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 120

1 ౧ యాత్రల కీర్తన నా దీన స్థితిలో నేను యెహోవాను వేడుకున్నాను. ఆయన నా మొర ఆలకించాడు.

“A psalm of steps.” In my distress I called upon the LORD, And he answered me.

2 ౨ యెహోవా, అబద్ధాలు పలికే పెదాల నుండి, మోసకరమైన నాలుక నుండి నన్ను కాపాడు.

O LORD! deliver me from lying lips, From the deceitful tongue!

3 ౩ మోసకరమైన నాలుకా, ఆయన నీకేం చేస్తాడో, ఎలాంటి కీడు కలిగిస్తాడో తెలుసా?

What profit to thee, Or what advantage to thee, is the false tongue?

4 ౪ తంగేడు నిప్పుల వంటి బాణాలు, శూరులు ఎక్కుపెట్టిన పదునైన బాణాలు ఆయన నీ మీదికి వదులుతాడు.

It is like the sharp arrows of the mighty man; Like coals of the juniper.

5 ౫ అయ్యో, నేను మెషెకు ప్రజల వద్ద విదేశీయునిగా ఉన్నాను. కేదారు గుడారాల దగ్గర నివసిస్తున్నాను.

Alas for me, that I sojourn in Mesech, That I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

6 ౬ విరోధుల మధ్య నేను చాలాకాలం నుండి నివసిస్తున్నాను.

Too long have I dwelt With them that hate peace!

7 ౭ నాకు కావలసింది శాంతి సమాధానాలే. అయినా నా నోటి వెంట మాట రాగానే వాళ్ళు నాతో యుద్ధానికి సిద్ధమవుతారు.

I am for peace; yet, when I speak for it, They are for war.
