కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 114

1 ౧ ఈజిప్టులోనుండి ఇశ్రాయేలు, విదేశీ జాతుల్లోనుండి యాకోబు వెళ్లిపోయినప్పుడు,

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of a foreign language;

2 ౨ యూదా ఆయనకు పరిశుద్ధస్థలం అయింది. ఇశ్రాయేలు ఆయనకు రాజ్యం అయింది.

Judah was his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

3 ౩ సముద్రం దాన్ని చూసి పారిపోయింది. యొర్దాను నది వెనక్కి మళ్ళింది.

The sea saw [it], and fled: Jordan was driven back.

4 ౪ పర్వతాలు పొట్టేళ్లలాగా, కొండలు గొర్రెపిల్లల్లాగా గంతులు వేశాయి.

The mountains skipped like rams, [and] the little hills like lambs.

5 ౫ ఓ సముద్రం, పారిపోయావేమిటి? యొర్దానూ, నీవు వెనక్కి మళ్లావేమిటి?

What [ailed] thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, [that] thou wast driven back?

6 ౬ పర్వతాల్లారా, మీరు పొట్లేళ్లలాగానూ కొండల్లారా, మీరు గొర్రెపిల్లల్లాగానూ కుప్పిగంతులు వేశారెందుకు?

Ye mountains, [that] ye skipped like rams; [and] ye little hills, like lambs?

7 ౭ భూమీ, ప్రభువు సన్నిధిలో, యాకోబు దేవుని సన్నిధిలో వణకు.

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 ౮ ఆయన బండరాతిని నీటిమడుగుగా, చెకుముకి రాతి శిలను నీటి ఊటలుగా చేశాడు.

Who turned the rock [into] a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
