1 ౧ ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను దీవించడం యెహోవా దృష్టికి మంచిదని బిలాము తెలుసుకున్నప్పుడు అతడు ఇంతకు ముందు లాగా శకునం చూడడానికి వెళ్ళకుండా ఎడారి వైపు తన ముఖాన్ని తిప్పుకున్నాడు.
And when Balaam saw that it pleased God to bless Israel, he did not go according to his custom to meet the omens, but turned his face toward the wilderness.
2 ౨ బిలాము కళ్ళెత్తి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తమ తమ గోత్రాల ప్రకారం శిబిరంలో ఉండడం చూసినప్పుడు, దేవుని ఆత్మ అతని మీదికి దిగి వచ్చాడు.
And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and sees Israel encamped by their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.
3 ౩ అతడు ఇలా ప్రవచించాడు. “బెయోరు కొడుకు బిలాముకు పలుకబోతున్నాడు. కళ్ళు బాగా తెరుచుకున్నవాడు పలకబోతున్నాడు.
And he took up his parable and said, Balaam son of Beor says, the man who sees truly says,
4 ౪ అతడు దేవుని మాటలు మాట్లాడతాడు, దేవుని మాటలు వింటాడు. అతడు సర్వశక్తుని దగ్గర నుంచి వచ్చే దర్శనం చూస్తాడు, ఆయన ఎదుట అతడు తన కళ్ళు తెరిచి వంగి నమస్కరిస్తాడు.
he says who hears the oracle of the Mighty One, who saw a vision of God in sleep; his eyes were opened:
How goodly [are] your habitations, Jacob, and your tents, Israel!
6 ౬ అవి లోయలు వ్యాపించినట్టు, నదీతీరంలో తోటల్లా, యెహోవా నాటిన అగరు చెట్లలా నీళ్ళ దగ్గరున్న దేవదారు వృక్షాల్లా ఉన్నాయి.
as shady groves, and as gardens by a river, and as tents which God pitched, and as cedars by the waters.
7 ౭ అతడు నీరు తోడుకునే చేదల నుండి నీళ్ళు కారుతాయి. అతడు నాటిన విత్తనానికి సమృద్ధిగా నీళ్ళు అందుతాయి. వారి రాజు అగగు కంటే గొప్పవాడౌతాడు. వారి రాజ్యం ఘనత పొందుతుంది.
There shall come a man out of his seed, and he shall rule over many nations; and the kingdom of Gog shall be exalted, and his kingdom shall be increased.
8 ౮ దేవుడు ఐగుప్తులోనుంచి అతన్ని రప్పించాడు. అతనికి అడవిదున్నకు ఉన్నంత బలం ఉంది. అతడు తనకు విరోధంగా పోరాడే వారిని మింగేస్తాడు. వారి ఎముకలు విరిచేస్తాడు. తన బాణాలతో వారిని చంపేస్తాడు.
God led him out of Egypt; he has as it were the glory of a unicorn: he shall consume the nations of his enemies, and he shall drain their marrow, and with his darts he shall shoot through the enemy.
9 ౯ అతడు సింహంలా, ఆడ సింహంలా పొంచి ఉంటాడు. అతని విశ్రాంతికి భంగం కలిగించేవాడెవడు? అతన్ని దీవించే ప్రతివాడికీ దీవెన వస్తుంది గాక, అతన్ని శపించే ప్రతివాడికీ శాపం వస్తుంది గాక” అన్నాడు.
He lay down, he rested as a lion, and as a young lion; who shall stir him up? they that bless you are blessed, and they that curse you are cursed.
10 ౧౦ అప్పుడు బాలాకు కోపం బిలాము మీద రగిలింది గనక అతడు తన చేతులు చరిచి బిలాముతో “నా శత్రువులను శపించడానికి నిన్ను పిలిపించాను కాని నీవు ఈ మూడుసార్లు వారిని దీవించావు. కాబట్టి నువ్వు ఇప్పుడు నీ స్థలానికి తొందరగా వెళ్లు.
And Balac was angry with Balaam, and clapped his hands together; and Balac said to Balaam, I called you to curse my enemy, and behold you have decidedly blessed [him] this third time.
11 ౧౧ నేను నిన్ను ఎంతో గొప్పవాణ్ణి చేస్తానని చెప్పాను గాని, నీకు అది దక్కకుండా యెహోవా నిన్ను ఆటంకపరిచాడు” అన్నాడు.
Now therefore flee to your place: I said, I will honor you, but now the Lord has deprived you of glory.
12 ౧౨ అందుకు బిలాము బాలాకుతో “బాలాకు తన రాజమందిరమంత వెండి బంగారాలు నాకిచ్చినా నా ఇష్టప్రకారం మేలైనా కీడైనా చెయ్యడానికి యెహోవా చెప్పిన మాట మీరలేను,
And Balaam said to Balac, Did I not speak to your messengers also whom you sent to me, saying,
13 ౧౩ యెహోవా ఏం చెప్తాడో అదే పలుకుతానని నువ్వు నా దగ్గరికి పంపించిన నీ వర్తమానికులతో నేను చెప్పలేదా?
If Balac should give me his house full of silver and gold, I shall not be able to transgress the word of the Lord to make it good or bad by myself; whatever things God shall say, them will I speak.
14 ౧౪ కాబట్టి, చూడు, నేను నా ప్రజల దగ్గరికి వెళ్తున్నాను. కాని, ముందు రోజుల్లో ఈ ప్రజలు నీ ప్రజలకు ఏం చేస్తారో, ఆ హెచ్చరిక నీకు నేనివ్వాలి” అన్నాడు.
And now, behold, I return to my place; come, I will advise you of what this people shall do to your people in the last days.
15 ౧౫ బిలాము ప్రవచనం చెప్పాడు. “బెయోరు కొడుకు బిలాము మాట్లాడుతున్నాడు, కనువిప్పు కలిగినవాడు మాట్లాడుతున్నాడు.
And he took up his parable and said, Balaam the son of Beor says, the man who sees truly says,
16 ౧౬ ఇది దేవుని వాక్కులను విన్నవాడి ప్రవచనం. మహాన్నతుని జ్ఞానం తెలిసినవాడి ప్రవచనం. సర్వశక్తుని దర్శనాలు చూసినవాడి ప్రవచనం. ఆయన ఎదుట తెరిచిన కళ్ళతో అతడు వంగి నమస్కారం చేస్తున్నాడు.
hearing the oracles of God, receiving knowledge from the Most High, and having seen a vision of God in sleep; his eyes were opened.
17 ౧౭ నేను ఆయన్ని చూస్తున్నాను, కాని ఇప్పుడు ఆయన ఇక్కడ లేడు. నేను ఆయన్ని గమనిస్తున్నాను కాని ఆయన ఇప్పుడు సమీపంగా లేడు. ఒక నక్షత్రం యాకోబులో ఉదయిస్తుంది. రాజదండం ఇశ్రాయేలులోనుంచి వస్తుంది. అతడు మోయాబు నాయకులను పడగొడతాడు. అతడు షేతు వంశస్తులందరినీ నాశనం చేస్తాడు.
I will point to him, but not now; I bless him, but he draws not near: a star shall rise out of Jacob, a man shall spring out of Israel; and shall crush the princes of Moab, and shall spoil all the sons of Seth.
18 ౧౮ ఎదోము, శేయీరు, ఇశ్రాయేలు శత్రువులు స్వాధీనం అవుతారు. వారిని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తమ బలం చేత జయిస్తారు.
And Edom shall be an inheritance, and Esau his enemy shall be an inheritance [of Israel], and Israel wrought valiantly.
19 ౧౯ యాకోబు సంతానంలోనుంచి రాజ్యాధికారం వస్తుంది. అతడు వారి పట్టణాల్లో మిగిలిన వారిని నాశనం చేస్తారు” అన్నాడు.
And [one] shall arise out of Jacob, and destroy out of the city him that escapes.
20 ౨౦ ఇంకా బిలాము అమాలేకీయులవైపు చూసి ప్రవచనం చెప్తూ, “ఒకప్పుడు అమాలేకు దేశాల్లో గొప్ప దేశం. కాని దాని అంతం నాశనమే” అన్నాడు.
And having seen Amalec, he took up his parable and said, Amalec [is] the first of the nations; yet his seed shall perish.
21 ౨౧ తరువాత బిలాము కేనీయులవైపు చూసి ప్రవచనం చెప్తూ, “నువ్వు నివాసం ఉన్న స్థలం బలమైనది. నీ గూడు బండరాళ్ళల్లో ఉంది.
And having seen the Kenite, he took up his parable and said, your dwelling-place [is] strong; yet though you should put your nest in a rock,
and though Beor should have a skillfully contrived hiding-place, the Assyrians shall carry you away captive.
And he looked upon Og, and took up his parable and said, Oh, oh, who shall live, when God shall do these things?
24 ౨౪ కిత్తీము తీరం నుంచి ఓడలు వస్తాయి. అవి అష్షూరు, ఏబెరుల మీద దాడి చేస్తాయి. కిత్తీయులు కూడా నాశనమౌతారు” అన్నాడు.
And one shall come forth from the hands of the Citians, and shall afflict Assur, and shall afflict the Hebrews, and they shall perish together.
And Balaam rose up and departed and returned to his place, and Balac went to his own home.
