మత్తయి 3
In those days, John [Yah is gracious] the Immerser came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea [Praise], saying,
“Teshuvah ·Turn repent·, for the Kingdom of Heaven (God) is at hand!”
3 ౩ పూర్వం యెషయా ప్రవక్త, అరణ్యంలో ఒకడి స్వరం ఇలా బిగ్గరగా పిలుస్తూ ఉంది. ప్రభువు కోసం దారి సిద్ధం చేయండి. ఆయన దారులు తిన్నగా చేయండి, అని చెప్పింది ఇతని గురించే.
For this is he who was spoken of by Isaiah [Salvation of Yah] the prophet, saying, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, make ready the way of MarYah [Master Yahweh]. Make his paths straight.”
4 ౪ ఈ యోహాను ఒంటె వెంట్రుకలతో నేసిన బట్టలూ నడుముకు తోలు నడికట్టు కట్టుకునేవాడు. అతని ఆహారం మిడతలు, అడవి తేనె.
Now John [Yah is gracious] himself wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
Then people from Jerusalem [City of peace], all of Judea [Praise], and all the region around the Jordan [Descender] went out to him.
They were immersed by him in the Jordan [Descender], confessing their abstract sins ·miss the marks·.
7 ౭ చాలామంది పరిసయ్యులూ సద్దూకయ్యులూ బాప్తిసం పొందడానికి రావడం చూసి అతడు, “విషసర్పాల పిల్లలారా, రాబోయే దేవుని ఆగ్రహాన్ని తప్పించుకోమని మిమ్మల్ని ఎవరు హెచ్చరించారు?
But when he saw many of the Pharisees [Separated] and Sadducees [Morally-upright] coming for his mikvah ·ritual washing baptism·, he said to them, “You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Therefore produce fruit worthy of teshuvah ·complete repentance·!
9 ౯ ‘అబ్రాహాము మా తండ్రి’ అని మీలో మీరు అనుకోవద్దు. దేవుడు ఈ రాళ్ల నుంచి అబ్రాహాముకు పిల్లలను పుట్టించగలడని మీతో చెబుతున్నాను.
Don’t think to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham [Father of a multitude] Avinu ·our Father·,’ for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham [Father of a multitude] from these stones.
10 ౧౦ ఇప్పటికే గొడ్డలి చెట్ల వేరుకు ఆనించి ఉంది. మంచి ఫలాలు ఫలించని ప్రతి చెట్టునూ నరికి మంటల్లో పడేస్తారు.
“Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.
11 ౧౧ పశ్చాత్తాపానికి అనుగుణంగా నేను నీళ్లతో మీకు బాప్తిసమిస్తూ ఉన్నాను. కానీ నా వెనుక వచ్చేవాడు నాకంటే గొప్పవాడు. ఆయన చెప్పులు మోయడానికి కూడా నేను తగను. ఆయన పరిశుద్ధాత్మతో, అగ్నితో మీకు బాప్తిసమిస్తాడు.
I indeed mikvah ·mikvah ·baptise· you in water for teshuvah ·complete repentance·, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry. He will mikvah ·baptise· you in Ruach haKodesh [Spirit, Breath of the Holiness].
12 ౧౨ తూర్పారబట్టే చేట ఆయన చేతిలో ఉంది. ఆయన తన కళ్ళం బాగా శుభ్రం చేసి తన గోదుమలు గిడ్డంగిలో పోస్తాడు. పొట్టును ఆరిపోని మంటల్లో కాల్చివేస్తాడు” అని చెప్పాడు.
His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor. He will gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.”
13 ౧౩ ఆ సమయాన యోహాను చేత బాప్తిసం పొందడానికి యేసు గలిలయ ప్రాంతం నుండి యొర్దాను నది దగ్గరికి వచ్చాడు.
Then Yeshua [Salvation] came from Galilee [District, Circuit] to the Jordan [Descender] to John [Yah is gracious], to be immersed by him.
14 ౧౪ అయితే యోహాను, “నేను నీచేత బాప్తిసం పొందవలసి ఉండగా, నీవు నా దగ్గరికి వస్తున్నావా?” అని ఆయనను నివారింపజూశాడు.
But John [Yah is gracious] would have hindered him, saying, “I need to be immersed by you, and you come to me?”
15 ౧౫ కానీ యేసు, “ఇప్పటికి కానివ్వు. నీతి అంతా ఇలా నెరవేర్చడం మనకు సబబే” అని అతనికి జవాబిచ్చాడు, కాబట్టి అతడు ఆ విధంగా చేశాడు.
But Yeshua [Salvation], answering, said to him, “Allow it now, for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed him.
16 ౧౬ యేసు బాప్తిసం పొంది నీళ్లలో నుండి ఒడ్డుకు వచ్చాడు. వెంటనే ఆకాశం తెరుచుకుంది. దేవుని ఆత్మ పావురంలాగా దిగి తన మీద వాలడం ఆయన చూశాడు.
Yeshua [Salvation], when he was immersed, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. He saw haRuach [the Spirit, Breath] of God descending as a dove, and coming on him.
17 ౧౭ “ఇదిగో చూడండి, ఈయనే నా ప్రియమైన కుమారుడు, ఈయనంటే నాకెంతో ఆనందం” అని ఒక స్వరం ఆకాశం నుండి వినిపించింది.
Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my agapetos ·beloved, esteemed· Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
