At another time he entered the synagogue, when a man was there who had a withered hand.
2 ౨ అక్కడివారు ఆయన మీద నేరం మోపే ఉద్దేశంతో, యేసు విశ్రాంతి దినాన ఆ మనిషిని బాగుచేస్తాడేమో అని జాగ్రత్తగా గమనిస్తున్నారు.
And they, with a design to accuse Jesus, watched him, to see whether he would heal the man on the Sabbath.
Jesus said to the man, who had the withered hand, Stand up in the midst.
4 ౪ అప్పుడు ఆయన వారితో, “విశ్రాంతి దినాన మేలు చేయడం ధర్మమా? కీడు చేయడమా? ప్రాణాన్ని రక్షించడం ధర్మమా? చంపడమా?” అని అన్నాడు. అందుకు వారు ఏ జవాబూ చెప్పలేదు.
Then he said to them, Whether it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or to do evil--to save, or to kill? But they were silent.
5 ౫ వారి కఠిన హృదయాలను బట్టి ఆయన నొచ్చుకుని, కోపంతో రగిలిపోతూ అందరి వైపూ చూశాడు. ఆ చెయ్యి చచ్చుబడిపోయిన వాడితో, “నీ చెయ్యి చాపు” అనగానే వాడు చెయ్యి చాపాడు. వెంటనే అతని చెయ్యి పూర్తిగా బాగైపోయింది.
And looking around on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their minds, he said to the man, Stretch out your hand: and as he stretched out his hand, it was restored.
And the Pharisees went out immediately, and conspired with the Herodians against him to destroy him.
7 ౭ యేసు తన శిష్యులతో కలసి గలిలయ సరస్సు వెంబడి వెళ్తూ ఉన్నాడు. గలిలయ, యూదయ ప్రాంతం నుండి వచ్చిన చాలామంది ప్రజలు ఆయన వెంట వెళ్ళారు.
But Jesus withdrew with his disciples toward the sea, whither a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,
8 ౮ యేసు చేస్తున్నవన్నీ విని చాలామంది ప్రజలు యూదయ, యెరూషలేము, ఇదూమియ ప్రాంతాలనుండీ, యొర్దాను నది అవతలి నుండీ తూరు, సీదోను ప్రాంతాలనుండీ ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు.
from Jerusalem, from Idumea, and from the banks of the Jordan. They also of the territories of Tyre and Sidon, having heard what wonders he had performed, flocked to him in crowds.
9 ౯ ప్రజలు ఎక్కువమంది ఉన్న కారణంగా వారు తన మీద పడకుండా ఉండాలని తన కోసం ఒక పడవ సిద్ధం చేయమని ఆయన తన శిష్యులతో చెప్పాడు.
Then he ordered his disciples to get a boat to attend him, because of the multitude, lest they should throng him:
for he had healed many, which made all, who had maladies, press upon him to touch him.
11 ౧౧ దయ్యాలు పట్టినవారు ఆయనను చూడగానే, ఆయన ఎదుట నేలపై పడిపోయి, “నీవు దేవుని కుమారుడివి” అని కేకలు వేశారు.
And the unclean spirits, when they beheld him, prostrated themselves before him, crying, Thou art the Son of God.
But he strictly charged them not to make him known.
13 ౧౩ తరువాత యేసు కొండ ఎక్కి వెళ్ళి తనను ఎవరు అనుసరించాలని ఆయన కోరుకున్నాడో వారిని పిలిచాడు. వారు ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు.
Afterward Jesus went up a mountain, and called to him whom he would, and they went to him.
14 ౧౪ తనతో ఉండడానికీ, సువార్త ప్రకటనకు పంపడానికీ ఆయన పన్నెండు మందిని నియమించాడు. వారికి అపొస్తలులు అని పేరు పెట్టాడు.
And he selected twelve, that they might attend him, and that he might commission them to make proclamation;
empowering them to cure disease; and to expel demons.
These were Simon, whom he surnamed Peter,
17 ౧౭ జెబెదయి కుమారుడు యాకోబు, అతని సోదరుడు యోహాను (వీరికి ఆయన ‘బోయనేర్గెసు’ అనే పేరు పెట్టాడు, ఆ మాటకి ‘ఉరిమేవారు’ అని అర్థం),
and James, son of Zebedee, and John, the brother of James. These he surnamed Boanerges, that is, sons of thunder;
and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James son of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Canaanite
and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
20 ౨౦ తరువాత యేసు, ఆయన శిష్యులు ఒక ఇంటికి వెళ్ళారు. మళ్ళీ అక్కడ చాలా మంది ప్రజలు గుమికూడారు. కాబట్టి వారికి భోజనం చేయడానికి కూడా వీలు లేకపోయింది.
Then they went into a house, whither a crowd again assembled, so that Jesus and his disciples could not so such as eat.
21 ౨౧ ఇది తెలిసిన యేసు కుటుంబీకులు ఆయనను పట్టుకుని ఇంటికి తీసుకు వెళ్ళడానికి వచ్చారు. ఎందుకంటే కొందరు “ఈయనకు మతి స్థిమితం లేదు” అన్నారు.
His kinsmen hearing this, went out to restrain it, (for they said, He is beside himself.
22 ౨౨ యెరూషలేము నుండి వచ్చిన ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులు, “బయల్జెబూలు ఇతణ్ణి ఆవహించాడు. ఆ దయ్యాల అధిపతి సహాయంతోనే దయ్యాలను పారదోలుతున్నాడు” అన్నారు.
And the scribes who came from Jerusalem, said, He is confederate with Beelzebub, and expels demons by the prince of demons.)
23 ౨౩ యేసు వారిని తన దగ్గరికి పిలిచి, ఉదాహరణల రూపంలో ఇలా అన్నాడు, “సైతాను సైతానును ఎలా వెళ్ళగొడతాడు?
Jesus having called them, said to them by similitudes, How can Satan expel Satan?
If a kingdom be torn by factions, that kingdom can not subsist.
And if a family be torn by factions, that family can not subsist.
Thus, if Satan fight against himself, and be divided, he can not subsist, but is near his end.
No one who enters the strong one's house, can plunder his goods, unless he first overpower the strong one; then, indeed, he may plunder his house.
28 ౨౮ నేను మీతో కచ్చితంగా చెప్పేదేమంటే, మనుషులు చేసిన అన్ని పాపాలను, వారు పలికే దైవ దూషణలను దేవుడు క్షమిస్తాడు.
Indeed, I say to you, that though all other sins in the sons of men are pardonable, and whatever slanders they shall utter;
He said this because they affirmed he was leagued with an unclean spirit.
31 ౩౧ అప్పుడు యేసు తల్లి, ఆయన సోదరులు అక్కడికి వచ్చి, బయట నిలబడి యేసు కోసం కబురు చేశారు. యేసు చుట్టూ చాలా మంది ప్రజలు ఉన్నారు.
Meanwhile came his mother and brothers, who standing without, sent for him.
And the crowd who sat round him, said to him, Lo, your mother and brothers are without, and seek you.
He answered them, saying, Who is my mother or my brothers?
And looking about on those who sat around him, he said, Behold my mother and my brothers;
35 ౩౫ ఎందుకంటే, దేవుని ఇష్టప్రకారం నడచుకునే వారే నా సోదరులు, నా అక్క చెల్లెళ్ళు, నా తల్లి” అని అన్నాడు.
for whosoever does the will of God, is my brother, my sister, and mother.
