లూకా 19
Then Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.
And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich.
3 ౩ ఇతడు యేసు ఎవరో చూడాలని ఆశించాడు. కాని జనసమూహం గుమిగూడడం వలనా ఇతడు పొట్టివాడు కావడం వలనా చూడలేకపోయాడు.
He was trying to see who Jesus was, but he could not do so because of the crowd, for he was a short man.
4 ౪ అప్పుడు యేసు ఆ దారిలోనే వస్తున్నాడు, కాబట్టి అతడు ముందుగా పరిగెత్తి వెళ్ళి ఒక మేడి చెట్టు ఎక్కాడు.
So he ran on ahead and climbed a sycamore tree so that he could see him, because Jesus was about to pass by that way.
5 ౫ యేసు ఆ చోటికి వచ్చినప్పుడు, తలెత్తి చూసి, “జక్కయ్యా, త్వరగా దిగిరా. ఈ రోజు నేను నీ ఇంట్లో ఉండాలి” అన్నాడు.
When Jesus came to that place, he looked up and saw him. Then he said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at yoʋr house today.”
So he hurried down and received Jesus with joy.
When all the people saw it, they grumbled, saying, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinful man.”
8 ౮ జక్కయ్య నిలబడి, “ఇదిగో ప్రభూ, నా ఆస్తిలో సగం పేదలకిస్తున్నాను. నేనెవరినైనా మోసం చేసి ఏదన్నా తీసుకుంటే అతనికి నాలుగంతలు మళ్ళీ చెల్లిస్తాను” అన్నాడు.
But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Behold, half of my goods, Lord, I give to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I will pay back four times the amount.”
Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man has shown that he too is a son of Abraham.
For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.”
11 ౧౧ వారు ఈ మాటలు వింటున్నప్పుడు ఆయన వారికి ఒక ఉపమానం చెప్పాడు. ఎందుకంటే ఆయన యెరూషలేముకు దగ్గరలో ఉండడం వల్ల దేవుని రాజ్యం వెంటనే వచ్చేస్తుందని వారు అనుకుంటున్నారు.
Now as the people were listening to this, Jesus went on to tell a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.
12 ౧౨ “గొప్ప వంశానికి చెందిన ఒక వ్యక్తి తన కోసం రాజ్యం సంపాదించుకుని రావాలని దూరదేశానికి ప్రయాణం అయ్యాడు.
So he said, “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself and then return.
13 ౧౩ దానికి ముందు తన సేవకులు పది మందిని పిలిచి వారికి పది బంగారు నాణాలు ఇచ్చాడు. “నేను తిరిగి వచ్చే వరకూ మీరు వీటితో వ్యాపారం చేయండి” అని చెప్పాడు.
Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas and said to them, ‘Engage in business until I return.’
14 ౧౪ అయితే అతని పట్టణంలోని పౌరులు అతణ్ణి ద్వేషించారు. ‘ఇతడు మమ్మల్ని పరిపాలించడం మాకు ఇష్టం లేదు’ అంటూ అతని వెనుకే రాయబారం పంపారు.
But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us.’
15 ౧౫ అయినా అతడు ఆ రాజ్యాన్ని సంపాదించుకుని తిరిగి వచ్చాడు. తన దాసులు వ్యాపారం చేసి ఎంత సంపాదించారో తెలుసుకోవాలని వారిని పిలిపించాడు.
When he returned after receiving the kingdom, he summoned the servants to whom he had given the money, to find out who had gained what by engaging in business.
The first came before him and said, ‘Master, yoʋr mina has made ten minas more.’
17 ౧౭ దానికి ఆ యజమాని, ‘భలే, మంచి సేవకా! నువ్వు ఈ చిన్న విషయంలో నమ్మకంగా ఉన్నావు కాబట్టి పది పట్టణాల మీద అధికారిగా ఉండు’ అన్నాడు.
The king said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because yoʋ have been faithful in a very small matter, take authority over ten cities.’
The second came and said, ‘Master, yoʋr mina has made five minas.’
The king said to him, ‘Yoʋ are to be over five cities.’
Another came and said, ‘Master, behold, here is yoʋr mina, which I kept put away in a piece of cloth.
21 ౨౧ దీన్ని జాగ్రత్తగా గుడ్డలో కట్టి దాచిపెట్టాను. నువ్వు కఠినుడివని నాకు తెలుసు. నువ్వు పెట్టని చోట తీసుకుంటావు, నాటని చోట పంట కోస్తావు,’ అన్నాడు.
For I was afraid of yoʋ, because yoʋ are a stern man. Yoʋ take out what yoʋ did not put in, and yoʋ reap what yoʋ did not sow.’
22 ౨౨ అందుకా యజమాని, ‘చెడ్డ సేవకా, నీ నోటి మాట పైనే నీకు తీర్పు తీరుస్తాను. నేను పెట్టని చోట తీసుకుంటాను, నాటని చోట పంట కోస్తాను, కఠినుడినని నీకు తెలుసు కదా,
The king said to him, ‘I will condemn yoʋ by the words coming out of yoʋr own mouth, yoʋ evil servant. Yoʋ knew, did yoʋ, that I was a stern man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?
23 ౨౩ అలాంటప్పుడు నా డబ్బుని వడ్డీ వ్యాపారుల దగ్గర ఎందుకు పెట్టలేదు? అలా చేస్తే నేను వచ్చి వడ్డీతో సహా తీసుకునే వాణ్ణి కదా’ అని వాడితో చెప్పి,
Why then did yoʋ not deposit my money in the bank, and when I came I would have collected it with interest?’
24 ౨౪ తన దగ్గర ఉన్న వారితో, “వీడి దగ్గర ఉన్న నాణెం తీసేసుకుని పది నాణాలు ఉన్న వాడికివ్వండి’ అన్నాడు.
Then he said to those standing nearby, ‘Take the mina from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
But they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas!’
26 ౨౬ అందుకు అతడు, ‘ఉన్న ప్రతి వాడికీ ఇవ్వడం, లేని వాడి దగ్గర నుండి వాడికి ఉన్నది కూడా తీసివేయడం జరుగుతుందని మీకు చెబుతున్నాను.’
The king said, ‘I tell you that everyone who has will be given more, but the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
27 ౨౭ మరోమాట, ‘నేను తమని పరిపాలించడం ఇష్టం లేని నా శత్రువులను ఇక్కడికి తీసుకుని వచ్చి నా కళ్ళెదుట వారిని వధించండి’ అన్నాడు.”
But as for those enemies of mine who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in front of me.’”
After saying these things, Jesus continued on his way up to Jerusalem, walking ahead of his disciples.
29 ౨౯ ఆయన ఒలీవ కొండ దగ్గర ఉన్న బేత్పగే, బేతనీ అనే గ్రామాల సమీపానికి వచ్చినపుడు తన శిష్యుల్లో ఇద్దరిని పిలిచాడు.
As he drew near to Bethsphage and Bethany, at the mount called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples ahead,
30 ౩౦ “మీరు ఎదురుగా ఉన్న గ్రామంలోకి వెళ్ళండి. దానిలో మీరు ప్రవేశించగానే కట్టి ఉన్న ఒక గాడిద పిల్ల మీకు కనిపిస్తుంది. దాని మీద ఇంతవరకూ ఎవ్వరూ కూర్చోలేదు. దాన్ని విప్పి తోలుకు రండి.
saying, “Go into the village ahead of you. As you enter it, you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here.
31 ౩౧ ఎవరైనా ‘దీన్ని ఎందుకు విప్పుతున్నారు’ అని మిమ్మల్ని అడిగితే ‘ఇది ప్రభువుకు కావాలి’ అని చెప్పండి” అని చెప్పి వారిని పంపించాడు.
If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him this: ‘The Lord has need of it.’”
So those who were sent went off and found it just as he had told them.
33 ౩౩ ఆ గాడిద పిల్లను విప్పుతుంటే దాని యజమానులు, “మీరు, గాడిద పిల్లను ఎందుకు విప్పుతున్నారు?” అని వారినడిగారు.
As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
They said, “The Lord has need of it.”
35 ౩౫ తరువాత యేసు దగ్గరికి దాన్ని తోలుకు వచ్చారు. దానిపై తమ బట్టలు వేసి ఆయనను దానిపై కూర్చోబెట్టారు.
Then they brought the colt to Jesus, threw their garments over it, and set Jesus on it.
As he went along, people were spreading their garments on the road.
37 ౩౭ ఒలీవ కొండ నుండి దిగే చోటికి ఆయన వచ్చినప్పుడు శిష్యుల గుంపంతా తాము చూసిన అద్భుతాలను గురించి సంతోషంతో గొంతెత్తి దేవుణ్ణి స్తుతించడం మొదలుపెట్టారు.
And as he drew near to the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen,
38 ౩౮ “ప్రభువు పేరిట వచ్చే రాజును అందరూ స్తుతిస్తారు గాక! పరలోకంలో శాంతీ, ఉన్నత స్థలంలో మహిమ!” అన్నారు.
saying, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!”
But some of the Pharisees from among the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke yoʋr disciples.”
In response he said to them, “I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out.”
As he drew near to Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it,
42 ౪౨ “నువ్వు కూడా కనీసం ఈ రోజైనా శాంతి కోసం కావలసిన విషయాలను తెలుసుకుంటే నీకు ఎంత మేలు! కాని ఇప్పుడు అవి నీ కళ్ళకు కనిపించడం లేదు.
saying, “If only yoʋ had known, especially on this day of yoʋrs what would bring yoʋ peace! But now it is hidden from yoʋr eyes.
43 ౪౩ ప్రభువు నిన్ను సందర్శించిన కాలం నువ్వు తెలుసుకోలేదు. కాబట్టి నీ శత్రువులు నీ చుట్టూ మట్టిదిబ్బ కట్టి నిన్ను ముట్టడించి అన్ని వైపుల నుండి నిన్ను అణచివేస్తారు. నిన్నూ నీలో ఉన్న నీ పిల్లలనూ మంటిపాలు చేస్తారు.
For the days will come upon yoʋ when yoʋr enemies build a barricade around yoʋ and encircle yoʋ, hemming yoʋ in on every side.
They will raze yoʋ to the ground, and yoʋr children within yoʋ. They will not leave in yoʋ one stone upon another, because yoʋ did not recognize the time of yoʋr visitation.”
Then Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were selling and buying there.
46 ౪౬ “‘నా మందిరం ప్రార్థన మందిరం’ అని రాసి ఉంది. కాని మీరు దాన్ని దొంగల గుహగా చేశారు” అంటూ వారిని అక్కడ నుండి వెళ్ళగొట్టడం ప్రారంభించాడు.
He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.”
47 ౪౭ ఆయన ప్రతి రోజూ దేవాలయంలో ఉపదేశిస్తూ ఉన్నప్పుడు ప్రధాన యాజకులూ, ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులూ, ప్రజల్లో ముఖ్యులు ఆయనను అంతం చేయాలని చూస్తూ వచ్చారు.
Every day Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, but the chief priests and the scribes were seeking to destroy him, and so were the prominent leaders among the people.
48 ౪౮ కాని ఏం చేయాలో వారికి అర్థం కాలేదు. ఎందుకంటే ప్రజలంతా ఆయనను విడిచి పెట్టకుండా ఆయన మాటలు వింటూ ఉన్నారు.
But they could not figure out what to do, for all the people were hanging on his every word as they listened to him.
