యిర్మీయా 25
1 ౧ యోషీయా కొడుకూ, యూదా రాజు అయిన యెహోయాకీము నాలుగో సంవత్సరం పాలనలో, అంటే బబులోను రాజు నెబుకద్నెజరు మొదటి సంవత్సరంలో యూదా ప్రజలందరి గురించి యిర్మీయాకు వచ్చిన సందేశం.
The word which came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, which was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon;
which Jeremiah the prophet spake to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying: —
3 ౩ “ఆమోను కొడుకు యూదా రాజు యోషీయా పాలించిన 13 వ సంవత్సరం మొదలు నేటివరకూ ఈ 23 సంవత్సరాలు యెహోవా నాకు సందేశం ఇస్తూ ఉన్నాడు. నేను పెందలకడ లేచి మీకు ఆ మాటలు ప్రకటిస్తూ ఉన్నప్పటికీ మీరు పెడచెవిన పెట్టారు.
From the thirteenth year of Josiah, the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, for three and twenty years, the word of Jehovah hath come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
4 ౪ యెహోవా మీ దగ్గరికి తన సేవకులైన ప్రవక్తలను పంపించాడు. మీరు వారి మాట వినలేదు, వారిపట్ల శ్రద్ధ చూపలేదు.
Also Jehovah hath sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.
5 ౫ ఈ ప్రవక్తలు ఇలా చెప్పారు, ‘మీలో ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ మీ దుర్మార్గం, దురాచారాల నుంచి మళ్ళుకోండి. యెహోవా మీకూ, మీ పూర్వీకులకూ శాశ్వతమైన బహుమానంగా దయచేసిన ఈ దేశంలో మీరు నివసించేలా చేసుకోండి.
“Turn ye now,” said they, “every one from your evil way, and from your evil doings, and ye shall dwell in the land which Jehovah gave to you and to your fathers for ever and ever.
6 ౬ మీరు ఇతర దేవుళ్ళను పూజించడం, వాటికి నమస్కారం చేయడం మానండి. మీ చేతులతో చేసిన వాటితో నన్ను విసికించవద్దు. అప్పుడు ఆయన మీకు ఏ బాధా కలిగించడు.’
And go not after strange gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.”
7 ౭ అయితే మీరు నా మాట వినలేదు. మీ చేతులతో చేసుకున్న వాటి మూలంగా నేను మిమ్మల్ని శిక్షించేలా నన్ను రెచ్చగొట్టారు” అని యెహోవా చెబుతున్నాడు.
But ye have not hearkened to me, saith Jehovah, that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.
8 ౮ సేనల ప్రభువు యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు. “మీరు నా మాటలు వినలేదు కాబట్టి నేను ఉత్తర దిక్కున ఉన్న రాజ్యాలన్నిటినీ నా సేవకుడు నెబుకద్నెజరు అనే బబులోను రాజునూ పిలిపిస్తున్నాను.
Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Because ye have not hearkened to my words,
9 ౯ ఈ దేశం మీదికి, దీని నివాసుల మీదికి, చుట్టూ ఉన్న ఈ ప్రజలందరి మీదికీ వారిని రప్పిస్తున్నాను. ఈ ప్రజలను నాశనం చేస్తాను. వాళ్ళను అసహ్యకారణంగా, అపహాస్యంగా ఎప్పటికి పాడుగా ఉంచుతాను.
behold, I will send and take all the nations of the North, saith Jehovah, and Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and a perpetual desolation.
10 ౧౦ సంతోషసంబరాల ధ్వనులూ, పెళ్ళికొడుకు పెళ్ళికూతురు స్వరాలూ, తిరుగటిరాళ్ల శబ్దం, దీపాల వెలుగూ వారిలో ఉండకుండా చేస్తాను.
Yea, I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the mill-stones, and the light of the lamp.
And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 ౧౨ డెబ్భై సంవత్సరాలు గడచిన తరువాత వారి దోషాలనుబట్టి నేను బబులోను రాజును, ఆ ప్రజలను, కల్దీయుల దేశాన్ని శిక్షిస్తాను. ఆ దేశాన్ని ఎప్పటికీ శిథిలంగా ఉండేలా చేస్తాను.” ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
But when seventy years shall have passed, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation for their iniquity, saith Jehovah, and the land of the Chaldaeans, and I will make it a perpetual desolation.
13 ౧౩ నేను ఆ దేశానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా చెప్పిన మాటలన్నిటి ప్రకారం, రాజ్యాలన్నిటి గురించి ఈ గ్రంథంలో రాసినదంతా యిర్మీయా ప్రవచించినట్టు ఆ దేశం మీదికి రప్పిస్తాను.
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
14 ౧౪ ఎందుకంటే నేను వాళ్ళ పనులకూ వాళ్ళు చేతులతో చేసిన వాటికీ ప్రతీకారం చేస్తాను. అనేక రాజ్యాలూ, గొప్ప రాజులూ వాళ్ళ చేత సేవ చేయించుకుంటారు.
For they, even they, shall be brought into subjection to many nations and great kings. I will render to them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.
15 ౧౫ ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడు, యెహోవా నాతో ఇలా చెప్పాడు. “కోపంతో నిండి ఉన్న మద్యపాత్రను నువ్వు నా చేతిలోనుంచి తీసుకుని, నేను నిన్ను పంపిస్తున్న రాజ్యాలన్నిటికీ దాన్ని తాగించు.
For thus hath Jehovah, the God of Israel, said to me: Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand; and let all the nations to which I shall send thee drink of it.
16 ౧౬ వాళ్ళు దాన్ని తాగి, తూలుతూ పిచ్చివాళ్ళలాగా అయిపోతారు. నేను వాళ్ళ మీదకు పంపిస్తున్న కత్తిని బట్టి వాళ్ళు అలా అవుతారు.”
Let them drink, and stagger, and become mad because of the sword which I am about to send among them.
17 ౧౭ అప్పుడు యెహోవా చేతిలో నుంచి నేను ఆ పాత్రను తీసుకుని, యెహోవా నన్ను పంపిన రాజ్యాలన్నిటికీ దాన్ని తాగించాను.
So I took the cup from the hand of Jehovah, and gave it to all the nations to drink, to which Jehovah sent me;
18 ౧౮ వాళ్ళు ఈ రోజు ఉన్నట్టుగా అసహ్యకారణంగా, అపహాస్యంగా ఎప్పటికి పాడుగా ఉండడానికి యెరూషలేముకూ యూదా పట్టణాలకూ దాని గొప్ప రాజులకూ దాని అధిపతులకూ తాగించాను.
to Jerusalem and to the cities of Judah, and to the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, and an astonishment, and a hissing, and a curse; [[as it is this day.]]
19 ౧౯ మిగతా రాజ్యాలు కూడా తాగాల్సి వచ్చింది. ఐగుప్తురాజు ఫరో, అతని సేవకులూ అతని అధికారులూ అతని పరివారమంతా,
To Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and to his servants, and to his princes, and to all his people,
20 ౨౦ అక్కడ ఉన్న మిశ్రిత ప్రజలూ, ఊజు దేశపు రాజులందరూ, ఫిలిష్తీయుల దేశపు రాజులందరూ, అష్కెలోను, గాజా, ఎక్రోను, అష్డోదులో మిగిలిన వాళ్ళూ,
and all the allied people; and to all the kings of the land of Uz, and to all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and to Askelon, and to Gaza, and to Ekron, and to the remnant of Ashdod;
to Edom, and to Moab, and to the children of Ammon;
and to all the kings of Tyre, and to all the kings of Sidon, and to the kings of the lands which are beyond the sea;
to Dedan, and to Tema, and to Buz, and to all that shave the cheek;
and to all the kings of Arabia, and to all the kings of the allied people who dwell in the desert;
and to all the kings of Zimri, and to all the kings of Elam, and to all the kings of Media;
26 ౨౬ ఉత్తర దిక్కున దగ్గరగా, దూరంగా ఉన్న రాజులందరూ, భూమి మీద ఉన్న ప్రపంచ రాజ్యాలన్నీ దానిలోనిది తాగుతారు. చివరిగా బబులోను రాజు వాళ్ళ తరువాత తాగుతాడు.
and to all the kings of the North, those that are near, and those that are afar off with respect to each other, and to all the kingdoms of the earth which are upon the face of the ground; and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
27 ౨౭ నువ్వు వాళ్ళతో ఇలా చెప్పు. “ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడు సేనల అధిపతి యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు, తాగండి! మత్తేక్కే వరకు తాగి, కక్కండి. నేను మీ మీదికి పంపించే కత్తి ఎదుట మళ్ళీ లేవకుండా కూలండి.”
And say to them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink ye and be drunken, and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword which I am about to send among you.
28 ౨౮ మేము తాగమని వాళ్ళు నీ చేతిలో నుంచి ఆ పాత్రను తీసుకోకపోతే నువ్వు వాళ్ళతో ఇలా చెప్పు, మీరు తప్పకుండా దాన్ని తాగాలని సేనల అధిపతి యెహోవా చెబుతున్నాడు.
And if they refuse to take the cup from thy hand to drink, then say to them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Ye shall surely drink!
29 ౨౯ నా పేరున్న పట్టణానికి నేను విపత్తు రప్పించబోతున్నాను. మీకు శిక్ష లేకుండా పోతుందా? మీరు తప్పించుకోలేరు. భూమి మీద ఉంటున్న వారందరి మీదికి నేను కత్తిని రప్పిస్తున్నాను. ఇది సేనల ప్రభువు యెహోవా వాక్కు.
For behold, upon the city which is called by my name I begin to bring evil; and shall ye go wholly unpunished? Ye shall not go unpunished; for I am about to call the sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Jehovah of hosts.
30 ౩౦ కాబట్టి యిర్మీయా! నువ్వు ఈ మాటలన్నీ వారికి ప్రకటించు. వారికిలా చెప్పు “యెహోవా పైనుంచి గర్జిస్తున్నాడు. తన పవిత్ర నివాసం నుంచి తన స్వరాన్ని వినిపిస్తున్నాడు. తన నివాస స్థలానికి విరోధంగా గర్జిస్తున్నాడు. దేశంలో నివసిస్తున్న వారందరికీ వ్యతిరేకంగా కేకలు వేస్తున్నాడు. ద్రాక్షగానుగ తొక్కే వారిలాగా అరుస్తున్నాడు.
Therefore, prophesy against them all these words, and say to them: —Jehovah shall roar from on high, From his holy habitation shall he utter his voice; He shall roar aloud against his dwelling-place; A shout like that of vintagers shall he raise Against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 ౩౧ ప్రపంచమంతా ఆ సందడి చేరింది. యెహోవా రాజ్యాలతో నేరారోపణ చేస్తున్నాడు. మనుషులందరికీ ఆయన తీర్పు తీరుస్తాడు. ఆయన దుర్మార్గులను కత్తికి గురిచేస్తాడు.” ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
An outcry shall reach to the ends of the earth; For Jehovah hath a controversy with the nations; He entereth into judgment with all flesh; The wicked will he give up to the sword, saith Jehovah.
32 ౩౨ సేనల ప్రభువు యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు. “ఒక రాజ్యం నుంచి మరొక రాజ్యానికి విపత్తు వ్యాపిస్తూ ఉంది. భూదిగంతాల నుంచి గొప్ప తుఫాను బయలుదేరుతూ ఉంది.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, And a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the extremities of the earth.
33 ౩౩ ఆ రోజు యెహోవా చేత హతం అయిన వాళ్ళు భూమి ఒక అంచు నుంచి మరొక అంచు వరకూ ఉంటారు. వాళ్ళ కోసం ఎవరూ ఏడవరు. వాళ్ళను పోగుచేయరు. పాతిపెట్టరు. పెంటలాగా వారి శవాలు నేల మీద పడి ఉంటాయి.
At that day shall the slain of Jehovah lie From one end of the earth to the other end of the earth; They shall not be lamented, nor gathered, nor buried; They shall be dung upon the ground.
34 ౩౪ కాపరులారా, ఏడవండి. సాయం కోసం కేకలు పెట్టండి. మందలోని నాయకులారా, నేల మీద పడి దొర్లండి. మీరు చావడానికి రోజులు దగ్గరపడ్డాయి. మీరు చెదిరిపోయే రోజు వచ్చింది. ఎంపిక చేసిన గొర్రె పొట్టేళ్ళు కింద పడినట్టు మీరు పడతారు.
Howl, O ye shepherds, and cry! Roll yourselves in the dust, ye leaders of the flock, For your time to be slaughtered has come! And I will scatter you, and ye shall fall like a goodly vessel.
The shepherds shall have no way to flee, Nor the leaders of the flock to escape.
36 ౩౬ వినండి, కాపరుల కేకలూ, మందలోని శ్రేష్ఠమైన వాటి గోల వినిపిస్తూ ఉంది. యెహోవా వాళ్ళ పచ్చిక మైదానాలను నాశనం చేస్తున్నాడు.
[[Hark!]] the voice of the cry of the shepherds, And the wailing of the leaders of the flock, Because Jehovah layeth waste their pasture!
Yea, the peaceful pastures are destroyed Because of the fierce anger of Jehovah.
38 ౩౮ గుహలోనుంచి కొదమ సింహం వచ్చినట్టు ఆయన బయలుదేరాడు. ఎందుకంటే వాళ్ళ దేశం ఆయన కోపాగ్నికి నాశనమైపోతుంది.”
He hath left, like a lion, his covert; For their land is become desolate, Because of the wrath of the destroying sword, And because of the fierceness of his anger.
