యెషయా~ గ్రంథము 21
1 ౧ సముద్రతీరాన ఉన్న ఎడారిని గురించిన దైవ ప్రకటన. “దక్షిణ దేశం నుండి తుఫాను గాలులు వీస్తున్నట్టు, ఒక భయంకరమైన దేశం నుండి అరణ్యాన్ని దాటుకుంటూ ఆ విపత్తు వస్తూ ఉంది.
The birthun of the forsakun see. As whirlewyndis comen fro the southwest, it cometh fro desert, fro the orible lond.
2 ౨ దుస్థితిని తెలియ జేసే ఒక దర్శనం నాకు కలిగింది. మోసగాడు మోసాలు చేస్తాడు. నాశనం చేసేవాడు నాశనం చేస్తాడు. ఏలాము దేశమా, వెళ్ళి దాడి చెయ్యి, మాదియా దేశమా ముట్టడి వెయ్యి. నేను ఆమె మూలుగులను ఆపివేస్తాను.

3 ౩ కాబట్టి నా నడుముకు విపరీతమైన నొప్పి కలిగింది. ప్రసవ వేదన పడే స్త్రీకి కలిగిన నొప్పుల్లాంటివే నాకూ కలిగాయి. నేను విన్న దాన్ని బట్టి కుంగిపోయాను. చూసిన దాన్ని బట్టి నాకు బాధ కలుగుతున్నది.
Therfor my leendis ben fillid with sorewe; angwische weldide me, as the angwisch of a womman trauelynge of child; Y felle doun, whanne Y herde; Y was disturblid, whanne Y siy.
4 ౪ నా గుండె కొట్టుకునే వేగం పెరిగింది. భయంతో నాకు జలదరింపు కలిగింది. నేను ఆశతో ఎదురు చూసిన రాత్రి నాకు భయంతో వణుకు పుట్టింది.
Myn herte fadide, derknessis astonieden me; Babiloyne, my derlyng, is set to me in to myracle.
5 ౫ వాళ్ళు భోజనం బల్ల సిద్ధం చేస్తారు. తివాచీలు పరుస్తారు. అన్నం తిని, తాగుతారు. అధిపతులారా, లేవండి. డాళ్ళకి నూనె రాయండి.
Sette thou a boord, biholde thou in to a toting place; rise, ye princes, etynge and drynkynge, take ye scheeld.
6 ౬ ఎందుకంటే ప్రభువు నాకు చెప్పిన మాట ఇది. వెళ్ళు. ఒక కాపలా వాణ్ణి నియమించు. తాను చూస్తున్న దాని గూర్చి అతడు సమాచారం ఇవ్వాలి.
For whi the Lord seide these thingis to me, Go thou, and sette a lokere; and telle he, what euer thing he seeth.

8 ౮ ఆ కాపలా వాడు ఇలా అరుస్తాడు. “నా ప్రభూ, ఈ పహారా స్తంభంపై ప్రతి రోజూ, రోజంతా నిలబడి ఉన్నాను. రాత్రంతా నేను కాపలా కాస్తూనే ఉన్నాను.”

9 ౯ చూడండి, రథాన్ని తోలుకుంటూ ఒక వ్యక్తి గుర్రాలెక్కి వస్తున్న రౌతులతో వస్తున్నాడు. వాళ్ళు జంటలుగా ఒక దళంగా వస్తున్నారు. అతడు పిలిచి ఇలా చెప్పాడు. “బబులోను కూలి పోయింది. నిజంగానే కూలిపోయింది. దాని చెక్కిన దేవుళ్ళ బొమ్మలన్నీ విరిగి నేలకూలాయి.”

10 ౧౦ నేను నూర్చిన నా ధాన్యమా, నేను చెరిగిన వాళ్ళు, నా కళ్ళంలో నూర్చిన పిల్లలు, ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడు, సేనలకు అధిపతి అయిన యెహోవా దగ్గర నేను విన్నది నీకు తెలియజేశాను.

11 ౧౧ దూమా గూర్చిన ఒక దైవ ప్రకటన. శేయీరులో నుండి ఒకడు నన్ను అడుగుతున్నాడు. “కావలివాడా, రాత్రి ఇంకా ఎంత మిగిలి ఉంది? కావలివాడా, రాత్రి ఇంకా ఎంత మిగిలి ఉంది?”

12 ౧౨ అప్పుడు కావలివాడు “ఉదయం వస్తుంది, రాత్రి కూడా వస్తుంది. మీరు అడగాలనుకుంటే అడగండి. మళ్ళీ తిరిగి రండి” అంటున్నాడు.
The kepere seide, Morewtid cometh, and niyt; if ye seken, seke ye, and be ye conuertid, and `come ye.

14 ౧౪ తేమా దేశ వాసులారా, దాహంతో ఉన్న వారి కోసం నీళ్ళు తీసుకుని రండి. దేశ దిమ్మరుల ఎదురుగా ఆహారం తీసుకు రండి.
Ye that dwellen in the lond of the south, renne, and bere watir to the thristi; and renne ye with looues to hym that fleeth.
15 ౧౫ ఎందుకంటే వాళ్ళు కత్తినుండి తప్పించుకుని పారిపోతున్నారు. దూసిన కత్తి నుండీ, ఎక్కు పెట్టిన విల్లు నుండీ, యుద్ధ భయం వల్లా పారిపోతున్నారు.
For thei fledden fro the face of swerdis, fro the face of swerd neiyynge, fro the face of bouwe bent, fro the face of greuouse batel.
16 ౧౬ ఎందుకంటే ప్రభువు నాకిలా చెప్పాడు. “మరో సంవత్సరంలోగా కూలి వాళ్ళని ఒక సంవత్సరానికి పెట్టుకున్నట్టుగా కేదారు ప్రభావం అంతా నశించిపోతుంది.
For the Lord seith these thingis to me, Yit in o yeer, as in the yeer of an hirid man, and al the glorie of Cedar schal be takun awei.
17 ౧౭ కేదారు ప్రజల్లో కొద్దిమంది విలుకాళ్ళూ, శూరులూ మిగిలిపోతారు.” ఎందుకంటే ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజల దేవుడైన యెహోవా చెప్తున్న మాట ఇది.
