హెబ్రీయులకు 8
1 ౧ ఇప్పుడు మేం చెబుతున్న విషయంలో ముఖ్యాంశం ఇది. మనకు ఒక ప్రధాన యాజకుడున్నాడు. ఆయన పరలోకంలో మహా ఘనత వహించిన దేవుని సింహాసనానికి కుడివైపున ఆసీనుడై ఉన్నాడు.
And the sum concerning the things spoken of [is]: we have such a Chief Priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Greatness in the heavens,
2 ౨ మానవ నిర్మితం కాకుండా ప్రభువే నెలకొల్పిన ప్రత్యక్ష గుడారం అయిన పరిశుద్ధ గర్భాలయంలో ఆయన సేవకుడుగా ఉన్నాడు.
a servant of the holy places, and of the true dwelling place, which the LORD set up, and not man,
3 ౩ ప్రధాన యాజకుణ్ణి కానుకలూ, బలులూ అర్పించడానికి నియమిస్తారు. కాబట్టి అర్పించడానికి ఏదో ఒకటి ఉండాలి.
for every chief priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, from where [it is] necessary for this One to also have something that He may offer;
4 ౪ ఇప్పుడు క్రీస్తు భూమి మీదే ఉంటే యాజకుడిగా ఉండనే ఉండడు. ఎందుకంటే ధర్మశాస్త్ర ప్రకారం అర్పణలు అర్పించేవారున్నారు.
for if, indeed, He were on earth, He would not be a priest (there being the priests who are offering the gifts according to the Law,
5 ౫ మోషే ప్రత్యక్ష గుడారాన్ని నిర్మాణం చేస్తున్నప్పుడు, “పర్వతం పైన నీకు నేను చూపించిన నమూనా ప్రకారమే దాన్ని చేయాలి” అని దేవుడు హెచ్చరించాడు. కాబట్టి యాజకులు సేవ చేస్తున్న గుడారం పరలోకంలో ఉండే వాటికి నకలుగా, నీడగా ఉంది.
who to an example and shadow serve of the heavenly things, as Moses has been divinely warned, being about to construct the Dwelling Place, for, “See,” He says, “[that] you will make all things according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain”),
6 ౬ కానీ ఇప్పుడు క్రీస్తు మరింత మేలైన పరిచర్యను పొందాడు. ఎందుకంటే శ్రేష్ఠమైన వాగ్దానాలపై ఏర్పడిన శ్రేష్ఠమైన ఒప్పందానికి ఈయన మధ్యవర్తిగా ఉన్నాడు.
but now He has obtained a more excellent service, how much He is also mediator of a better covenant, which has been sanctioned on better promises,
for if that first were faultless, a place would not have been sought for a second.
8 ౮ ప్రజల్లో దోషాలు కనిపించినప్పుడు దేవుడు ఇలా అన్నాడు, “చూడండి, ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలతో యూదా ప్రజలతో నేను కొత్త ఒప్పందాన్ని చేసే రోజులు వస్తున్నాయి.
For finding fault, He says to them, “Behold, days come, says the LORD, and I will complete with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah, a new covenant,
9 ౯ ఐగుప్తు దేశం నుండి వారి పూర్వీకులను చెయ్యి పట్టుకుని బయటకు రప్పించిన రోజున వారితో నేను చేసిన ఒప్పందం వంటిది కాదిది. ఎందుకంటే వారు ఆ ఒప్పందంలో కొనసాగలేదు. నేనూ ఇక వారిమీద మనసు పెట్టడం మానేశాను.”
not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day of My taking [them] by their hand, to bring them out of the land of Egypt—because they did not remain in My covenant, and I did not regard them, says the LORD—
10 ౧౦ ఇంకా ప్రభువు ఇలా అన్నాడు, “ఆ రోజులు గడిచాక నేను ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలతో చేసే ఒప్పందం ఇది. వారి మనసుల్లో నా శాసనాలు ఉంచుతాను. అలాగే వారి హృదయాలపై వాటిని రాస్తాను. నేను వారి దేవుడినై ఉంటాను. వారు నా ప్రజలై ఉంటారు.
because this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, says the LORD, giving My laws into their mind, and I will write them on their hearts, and I will be to them for a God, and they will be to Me for a people;
11 ౧౧ ‘ప్రభువును తెలుసుకో’ అంటూ వారిలో ఎవడూ తన ఇరుగు పొరుగు వాళ్లకి గానీ తన సోదరునికి గానీ ఉపదేశం చేయడు. ఎందుకంటే చిన్నవాడి దగ్గర నుండి గొప్పవాడి వరకూ అందరూ నన్ను తెలుసుకుంటారు.
and they will not each teach his neighbor, and each his brother, saying, Know the LORD, because they will all know Me—from the small one of them to the great one of them,
because I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and I will remember their sins and their lawlessnesses no more.”
13 ౧౩ ఆయన ‘కొత్త ఒప్పందం’ అని చెప్పడం వల్ల, మొదటి ఒప్పందాన్ని పాతదిగా చేశాడు. దేన్నైతే ఆయన పాతది అని ప్రకటించాడో అది మాసిపోవడానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉంది.
In the saying “new,” He has made the first obsolete, and what is becoming obsolete and growing old [is] near disappearing.
