1 ౧ దేవునికి సంబంధించిన పనులు చేయడానికీ, ప్రజల పక్షంగా వారి పాపాల కోసం అర్పణలనూ, బలులనూ అర్పించడానికీ, ప్రతి ప్రధాన యాజకుడి నియామకమూ ప్రజల్లో నుండే జరుగుతుంది.
For every high priest taken from among the people is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.
2 ౨ అతడు అజ్ఞానుల విషయంలోనూ, దారి తప్పిన వారి విషయంలోనూ సానుభూతి చూపుతాడు. ఎందుకంటే అతణ్ణి కూడా అలాంటి బలహీనతలు చుట్టుముట్టి ఉంటాయి గనక
He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness.
3 ౩ ఆ బలహీనతల కారణంగా ప్రజల పాపాల కోసం ఎలా అర్పణలు అర్పిస్తున్నాడో అలాగే తన కోసం కూడా అర్పించాల్సి ఉంటుంది.
That is why he is obligated to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people.
4 ౪ ఈ గొప్పదనాన్ని ఎవరూ తమకు తామే ఆపాదించుకునే వీలు లేదు. అహరోనుకు ఉన్నట్టుగా దీనికి దేవుని ప్రత్యేక పిలుపు ఉండాలి.
No one takes this honor for himself, but receives it when he is called by God, just as Aaron was.
5 ౫ అలానే క్రీస్తు కూడా ప్రధాన యాజకుని స్థానానికి తనను తానే హెచ్చించుకోలేదు గానీ దేవుడే ఆయనతో ఇలా అన్నాడు. “నువ్వు నా కుమారుడివి. ఈ రోజు నేను నీకు తండ్రినయ్యాను.”
In the same way, Christ did not glorify himself in becoming a high priest, but was appointed by the one who said to him, “Yoʋ are my Son; today I have begotten yoʋ.”
And in another passage he says, “Yoʋ are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn g165)
7 ౭ ఆయన శరీరంతో ఉన్నప్పుడు తనను మరణం నుండి రక్షించగల దేవునికి ప్రార్థనలూ, మనవులూ చేస్తూ కన్నీళ్ళతో మొర్ర పెట్టుకున్నాడు. దేవునిపై ఆయనకున్న పూజ్యభావం వల్ల దేవుడు వాటిని ఆలకించాడు.
In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
Even though he was the Son, he learned obedience from what he suffered.
And having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him (aiōnios g166)
10 ౧౦ ఈ విధంగా ఆయన పరిపూర్ణుడయ్యాడు, తనకు విధేయులైన వారందరి శాశ్వత రక్షణకు కారణమయ్యాడు. (aiōnios g166)
and was designated by God as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.
11 ౧౧ దీన్ని గురించి చెప్పాల్సింది ఎంతో ఉంది. అయితే వినడంలో మందకొడిగా ఉంటారు గనక మీకు వివరించడం కష్టం.
On this topic we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become sluggish in hearing.
12 ౧౨ ఈపాటికల్లా మీరు బోధకులుగా ఉండవలసింది కానీ దేవుని మాటల్లోని ప్రాథమిక సూత్రాలను మరొకడు ఇంకా మీకు బోధించాల్సి వస్తున్నది. మీరింకా పాలు తాగే దశలోనే ఉన్నారు కానీ బలమైన ఆహారం తినే శక్తి మీకు లేదు.
For though you ought to be teachers by this time, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food.
13 ౧౩ కేవలం పాలు మాత్రమే తాగే ప్రతివాడూ పసివాడే కాబట్టి నీతికి సంబంధించిన విషయాల్లో అనుభవం లేని వాడుగా ఉన్నాడు.
Anyone who lives on milk is unacquainted with the teaching about righteousness, for he is an infant.
14 ౧౪ దీనికి భిన్నంగా, వయస్సు వచ్చిన పెద్దవారు తమ సాధకం చేత మంచి ఏదో, చెడు ఏదో వివేచించ గలిగి, మంచీ చెడూ తేడా తెలుసుకోవడంలో శిక్షణ పొంది ఉంటారు. అలాంటి వారికి పుష్టికరమైన ఆహారం కావాలి.
But solid food is for the mature, whose faculties have been trained by practice to distinguish between good and evil.
