1 ౧ బబులోను చెరలో ఉన్న కాలంలో, పదకొండో సంవత్సరం నెలలో మొదటి రోజు యెహోవా నాకీ విషయం మళ్ళీ తెలియచేశాడు.

16 ౧౬ సముద్రపు అధిపతులంతా తమ సింహాసనాల మీద నుంచి దిగి, తమ రాజ వస్త్రాలనూ రంగురంగుల బట్టలనూ తీసి వేస్తారు. వాళ్ళు భయాన్ని కప్పుకుంటారు. వాళ్ళు నేల మీద కూర్చుని గడగడ వణకుతూ నీ గురించి భయాందోళన చెందుతారు.

17 ౧౭ వారు నీ గురించి శోకగీతం ఎత్తి ఇలా అంటారు. నావికులు నివసిస్తున్న నువ్వు ఎలా నాశనమయ్యావు! పేరుగాంచిన ఎంతో గొప్ప పట్టణం-ఇప్పుడు సముద్రం పాలయింది. నువ్వూ, నీ పురవాసులూ సముద్రంలో బలవంతులు. నువ్వంటే సముద్ర నివాసులందరికీ భయం.

18 ౧౮ ఇప్పుడు నువ్వు కూలిన ఈ దినాన తీరప్రాంతాలు వణుకుతున్నాయి. నువ్వు మునిగిపోవడం బట్టి తీర ప్రాంతాలు భయంతో కంపించిపోయాయి.

19 ౧౯ యెహోవా ప్రభువు తెలియజేసేది ఏమిటంటే, నేను నిన్ను పాడుచేసి నిర్జనమైన పట్టణంగా చేసేటప్పుడు మహా సముద్రం నిన్ను ముంచివేసేలా నీ మీదికి అగాధ జలాన్ని రప్పిస్తాను.

20 ౨౦ పురాతన దినాల్లో మృత్యులోకంలోకి దిగిపోయినవారి దగ్గర నువ్వుండేలా చేస్తాను. పూర్వకాలంలో పాడైన స్థలాల్లో భూమి కిందున్న భాగాల్లో, అగాధంలోకి దిగిపోయిన వారితో పాటు నువ్వుండేలా చేస్తాను. దీనంతటి బట్టి సజీవులు నివసించే చోటికి నువ్వు తిరిగి రావు.
