యెహెజ్కేలు 17
The word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
"Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel;
3 ౩ ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. ఒక పెద్ద డేగ ఉంది. దానికి పెద్ద రెక్కలున్నాయి. వాటి నిండుగా ఈకలున్నాయి. దానికి అనేక రంగులతో దట్టమైన రెక్కలు ఉన్నాయి. ఈ రంగుల పక్షి లెబానోనుకి వెళ్ళి అక్కడ ఒక దేవదారు చెట్టుపై వాలింది.
and say, 'Thus says Jehovah: "A great eagle with great wings and long feathers, full of feathers, which had various colors, came to Lebanon, and took the top of the cedar:
4 ౪ అది ఆ చెట్టు లేత కొమ్మల చిగుళ్ళు తుంచి, వాటిని కనాను దేశానికి తీసుకు వెళ్ళింది. అక్కడ వర్తకులుండే పట్టణంలో వాటిని నాటింది.
he cropped off the topmost of the young twigs of it, and carried it to a land of traffic; he set it in a city of merchants.
5 ౫ అది ఆ దేశంలో నుండి కొన్ని విత్తనాలు కూడా తీసుకు వెళ్ళింది. విత్తనాలు నాటడానికి సిద్ధపరిచిన ఒక పొలంలో వాటిని నాటింది. వాటిని నాటిన చోటికి పక్కనే ఒక పెద్ద చెరువు ఉంది.
He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful soil; he placed it beside many waters; he set it as a willow tree.
6 ౬ అది మొలకలు వేసింది. పైకి పెరగకుండా భూమిపై ఎత్తు పెరగకుండానే విశాలమైన కొమ్మలతో నేలపై వ్యాపించి పెద్ద ద్రాక్షావల్లి అయింది. దాని కొమ్మలు ఆ డేగ వరకూ వ్యాపించాయి. దాని వేళ్ళు డేగ కింద వైపుకు వ్యాపించాయి. ఆ విధంగా ఆ ద్రాక్ష చెట్టు అనేక శాఖలతో వర్ధిల్లి కొత్తగా రెమ్మలు వేసింది.
It grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and its roots were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
7 ౭ పెద్ద రెక్కలూ, విస్తారమైన ఈకలూ ఉన్న ఇంకో గొప్ప డేగ ఉంది. చూడండి! ఈ ద్రాక్ష చెట్టు తన వేళ్ళను ఈ డేగ వైపుకి మళ్ళించింది. అది నీళ్ళు సమృద్ధిగా ఉన్న మంచి భూమి నుండి తన కొమ్మలను డేగ వైపుకి మళ్ళించింది.
'"There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and look, this vine bent its roots toward him, and shot forth its branches toward him, from the beds of its plantation, that he might water it.
8 ౮ దాన్ని ఒక పెద్ద నీటి చెరువు పక్కనే మంచి నేల్లో అనేక కొమ్మలు వేసి, ఫలించి, చక్కని ద్రాక్ష తీగె కావాలని నాటడం జరిగింది.”
It was planted in a good soil by many waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine."'
9 ౯ ప్రజలను ఇలా అడుగు. “అది అభివృద్ధి చెందుతుందా? ప్రజలు దాని వేళ్ళను పీకివేసి దాని పళ్ళు కోసుకోరా? అప్పుడది ఎండి పోవాల్సిందే గదా! దాని చిగుళ్ళు ఎండి పోయాక ఎంతమంది దాని కోసం శ్రమించినా దాని వేళ్ళు ఇక చిగురించవు.
"Say, 'Thus says Jehovah: "Shall it prosper? Shall he not pull up its roots, and cut off its fruit, that it may wither; that all its fresh springing leaves may wither? And not by a strong arm or many people can it be raised from its roots.
10 ౧౦ ఒకవేళ దాన్ని తిరిగి నాటినా అది పెరుగుతుందా? తూర్పునుండి గాలి దాన్ని తాకినప్పుడు అది ఎండిపోతుంది కదా! అది నాటి ఉన్న భూమిలోనే మొత్తం ఎండిపోతుంది.”
Yes, look, being planted, shall it prosper? Shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind touches it? It shall wither in the beds where it grew."'"
Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
12 ౧౨ “తిరగబడే జాతికి ఇలా చెప్పు. ఈ మాటల భావం మీకు తెలియదా? చూడండి! బబులోనురాజు యెరూషలేముకు వచ్చి ఆమె రాజునూ ఆమె యువరాజులనూ పట్టుకుని వాళ్ళని బబులోనులో తన దగ్గరకి తీసుకు పోయాడు.
"Say now to the rebellious house, 'Do you not know what these things mean?' Tell them, 'Look, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took its king, and its princes, and brought them to him to Babylon:
13 ౧౩ అతడు రాజు వంశస్థుల్లో ఒకణ్ణి తీసుకుపోయి అతనితో ఒప్పందం చేసుకున్నాడు. అతనితో ఒట్టు పెట్టించాడు. రాజ్యం బలహీనం కావడం కోసం, అది మళ్ళీ కోలుకోకుండా ఉండటానికి దేశంలో ఉన్న బలవంతులను అతడు తీసుకు వెళ్లి పోయాడు.,
and he took of the royal family, and made a covenant with him; he also brought him under an oath, and took away the mighty of the land;
that the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand.
15 ౧౫ కాని యెరూషలేము రాజు గుర్రాల కోసమూ, సైన్యం కోసమూ ఐగుప్తు రాజు దగ్గరికి రాయబారులను పంపడం ద్వారా తిరుగుబాటు చేశాడు. ఆ ప్రయత్నం ఫలిస్తుందా? అలాంటి పనులు చేసి అతడు తప్పించుకుంటాడా? నిబంధనను మీరినవాడు తప్పించుకుంటాడా?
But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and many people. Shall he prosper? Shall he escape who does such things? Shall he break the covenant, and yet escape?
16 ౧౬ నా ప్రాణం పైన ఒట్టు, ఇది ప్రభువైన యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన. ఎవరితో చేసిన నిబంధనను అతడు భంగ పరిచాడో, ఏ రాజు దగ్గర ఒట్టు పెట్టాడో, ఏ రాజు తనని రాజుగా చేశాడో ఆ రాజు రాజ్యంలోనే అతడు చనిపోతాడు. అతడు బబులోను లోనే చనిపోతాడు!
"'As I live,' says Jehovah, 'surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.
17 ౧౭ బబులోను సైన్యాలు యుద్ధంలో ముట్టడికై ఉన్నత స్థలాలను కట్టినప్పుడు, ప్రజలను చంపడానికి ప్రాకారాలను ముట్టడి వేసినప్పుడు ఫరో, అతని బలమైన సైన్యం, అతడు యుద్ధానికి సమకూర్చిన మనుషులు యుద్ధంలో యెరూషలేము రాజును కాపాడలేవు.
Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company help him in the war, when they cast up mounds and build forts, to cut off many persons.
18 ౧౮ ఎందుకంటే రాజు తన చేతులు కలిపి ప్రమాణం చేశాడు. నిబంధనను భంగపరచడం ద్వారా తాను చేసిన ప్రమాణాన్ని తృణీకరించాడు. అతడు తప్పించుకోలేడు.”
For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant; and look, he had given his hand, and yet has done all these things; he shall not escape.'
19 ౧౯ కాబట్టి ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “అతడు తృణీకరించిన ప్రమాణం నాకు చేసింది కాదా! నా నిబంధనను అతడు భంగం చేశాడు కదా! కాబట్టి అతడి పైకి శిక్ష రప్పిస్తున్నాను.
"Therefore thus says Jehovah: 'As I live, surely my oath that he has despised, and my covenant that he has broken, I will even bring it on his own head.
20 ౨౦ నా వల అతనిపై విసురుతున్నాను. అతడు నా ఉచ్చులో చిక్కుకుంటాడు. రాజద్రోహం చేసినందుకూ, నాకు నమ్మకద్రోహం చేసినందుకూ అతనిపై శిక్ష అమలు పరచడానికి అతణ్ణి బబులోనుకి తీసుకు వెళ్తాను.
I will spread my net on him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will enter into judgment with him there for his trespass that he has trespassed against me.
21 ౨౧ అతనితో ఉన్న సైన్యంలో తప్పించుకుని పారిపోయిన వాళ్ళందరూ ఖడ్గం చేత నిర్మూలం అవుతారు. మిగిలిన వాళ్ళు అన్ని వైపులకీ చెదిరిపోతారు. అప్పుడు నేనే యెహోవాను అని మీరు తెలుసుకుంటారు. ఇది కచ్చితంగా జరుగుతుందని ప్రకటిస్తున్నాను.”
All the choice men among all his troups will fall by the sword, and those who remain shall be scattered toward every wind: and you shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it.'
22 ౨౨ ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఈ మాట చెప్తున్నాడు. “కాబట్టి నేనే దేవదారు చెట్టులో ఎత్తయిన కొమ్మను తీసుకుని దాన్ని నాటుతాను. నేనే దాన్ని తుంచుతాను. నేనే దాన్ని ఎత్తయిన పర్వతం పైన నాటుతాను.
"Thus says Jehovah: 'I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain:
23 ౨౩ అది శాఖలుగా విస్తరించి ఫలాన్ని ఇచ్చేలా నేను దాన్ని ఇశ్రాయేలు పర్వతాల పైన నాటుతాను. అది ఎంతో ఘనమైన దేవదారు వృక్షం అవుతుంది. దాని కింద రెక్కలున్న పక్షులన్నీ నివసిస్తాయి. దాని కొమ్మల నీడలో అవి తమ గూళ్ళు కట్టుకుని పిల్లలను పెడతాయి.
in the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it; and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all birds of every wing; in the shade of its branches shall they dwell.
24 ౨౪ అప్పుడు భూమిపైన చెట్లన్నీ నేనే యెహోవాను అని తెలుసుకుంటాయి. గొప్ప చెట్లను నేను కిందకు లాగుతాను. హీనమైన చెట్లను పైకి లేపుతాను. పచ్చని చెట్టు ఎండిపోయేలా చేస్తాను. ఎండిన చెట్టు వికసించేలా చేస్తాను. నేనే యెహోవాను. ఇది జరుగుతుందని నేను చెప్పాను. దీన్ని తప్పక నెరవేరుస్తాను.”
All the trees of the field shall know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish; I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done it.'"
