ఆమోసు 4
1 ౧ సమరయ పర్వతం మీద ఉన్న బాషాను ఆవులారా, పేదలను అణిచేస్తూ దిక్కులేని వాళ్ళని బాధిస్తూ, మీ భర్తలతో “మాకు సారాయి తీసుకు రా” అనే మీరు, ఈ మాట వినండి.
Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, that oppress the poor, that crush the needy, that say to their lords, Bring, and let us drink:
2 ౨ యెహోవా ప్రభువు తన పరిశుద్ధత తోడని చేసిన ప్రమాణం ఇదే, “మిమ్మల్ని కొక్కేలతో పట్టుకుని తీసుకుపోయే రోజు వస్తూ ఉంది. మీలో మిగతావారిని చేపల గాలాలతో పట్టుకుపోతారు.
the Lord Jehovah hath sworn by his holiness, that behold, days shall come upon you, when he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fish-hooks;
3 ౩ మీరంతా ప్రాకారాల్లో పగుళ్ళగుండా దూరి వెళ్లిపోతారు. మిమ్మల్ని హెర్మోను పర్వతం బయట పారవేస్తారు.” యెహోవా ప్రకటించేది ఇదే.
and ye shall go out by the breaches, every one straight before her, and ye shall be cast out to Harmon, saith Jehovah.
4 ౪ బేతేలుకు వచ్చి తిరుగుబాటు చేయండి. గిల్గాలుకు వెళ్లి ఇంకా ఎక్కువగా తిరుగుబాటు చేయండి. ప్రతి ఉదయం బలులు తీసుకు రండి. మూడు రోజులకు ఒకసారి మీ పదో భాగాలు తీసుకురండి.
Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices in the morning, your tithes every three days,
5 ౫ రొట్టెతో కృతజ్ఞత అర్పణ అర్పించండి. స్వేచ్ఛార్పణలు ప్రకటించండి. వాటి గురించి చాటించండి. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, ఇలా చేయడం మీకిష్టం గదా. యెహోవా ప్రకటించేది ఇదే.
and burn a thank-offering with leaven, and proclaim, publish, voluntary offerings: for this pleaseth you, children of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.
6 ౬ మీ పట్టణాలన్నిటిలో మీకు తినడానికి ఏమీ లేకుండా చేశాను. మీరున్న స్థలాలన్నిటిలో మీకు ఆహారం లేకుండా చేశాను. అయినా మీరు నా వైపు తిరుగలేదు. యెహోవా ప్రకటించేది ఇదే.
And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places; yet ye have not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
7 ౭ కోతకాలానికి మూడు నెలలు ముందే వానలేకుండా చేశాను. ఒక పట్టణం మీద వాన కురిపించి మరొక పట్టణం మీద కురిపించలేదు. ఒక చోట వాన పడింది, వాన పడని పొలం ఎండిపోయింది.
And I also have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece [of land] was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
8 ౮ రెండు మూడు ఊర్లు మంచినీళ్ళ కోసం మరొక ఊరికి ఆత్రంగా పోతే అక్కడ కూడా వాళ్లకి సరిపోయినంత నీళ్ళు దొరకలేదు. అయినా మీరు నా వైపు తిరగలేదు. యెహోవా ప్రకటించేది ఇదే.
And two, three, cities wandered unto one city, to drink water, and were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
9 ౯ విస్తారమైన మీ తోటలన్నిటినీ తెగుళ్ళతో నేను పాడు చేశాను. మీ ద్రాక్షతోటలనూ అంజూరపు చెట్లనీ ఒలీవచెట్లనూ మిడతలు తినేశాయి. అయినా మీరు నావైపు తిరగలేదు. యెహోవా ప్రకటించేది ఇదే.
I have smitten you with blasting and mildew; the palmer-worm hath devoured the multitude of your gardens, and your vineyards, and your fig-trees and your olive-trees: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
10 ౧౦ నేను ఐగుప్తీయుల మీదికి తెగుళ్లు పంపించినట్టు మీ మీదికి తెగుళ్లు పంపాను. మీ యువకులను కత్తితో చంపేశాను. మీ గుర్రాలను తీసుకుపోయారు. మీ శిబిరాల్లో పుట్టిన చెడ్డ వాసన మీ ముక్కుల్లోకి ఎక్కింది. అయినా మీరు నా వైపు తిరగలేదు. యెహోవా ప్రకటించేది ఇదే.
I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, taking away captive your horses; and I made the stench of your camps to come up, even into your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
11 ౧౧ దేవుడు సొదొమ గొమొర్రా పట్టణాలను నాశనం చేసినట్టు నేను మీలో కొంతమందిని నాశనం చేశాను. మీరు మంటలోనుంచి లాగేసిన కట్టెల్లాగా తప్పించుకున్నారు. అయినా మీరు నా వైపు తిరగలేదు. యెహోవా ప్రకటించేది ఇదే.
I have overthrown among you, like God's overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a brand plucked out of the burning; yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
12 ౧౨ కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, మీపట్ల కఠినంగా ఇలా చేస్తాను. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, మీ దేవుణ్ణి కలుసుకోడానికి సిద్ధపడండి.
Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
13 ౧౩ పర్వతాలను రూపించే వాడూ గాలిని పుట్టించేవాడూ ఆయనే. ఆయన తన ఆలోచనలను మనుషులకు వెల్లడి చేస్తాడు. ఉదయాన్ని చీకటిగా మారుస్తాడు. భూమి ఉన్నత స్థలాల మీద నడుస్తాడు. ఆయన పేరు సేనల ప్రభువు యెహోవా.
For behold, he who formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, who maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, — Jehovah, the God of hosts, is his name.
