రాజులు~ మొదటి~ గ్రంథము 5
1 ౧ తరవాత, తన తండ్రికి బదులుగా సొలొమోనుకు పట్టాభిషేకం జరిగిందని తూరు రాజు హీరాము విని తన సేవకులను సొలొమోను దగ్గరకి పంపాడు. ఎందుకంటే హీరాము దావీదుకు మంచి స్నేహితుడు.
And Chiram king of Tyre sent his servants to anoint Solomon in the room of David his father, because Chiram always loved David.
And Solomon sent to Chiram, saying,
3 ౩ “యెహోవా నా తండ్రి అయిన దావీదు శత్రువులను అతని పాదాల కింద అణచివేసే వరకూ అన్ని వైపులా అతనికి యుధ్ధాలు ఉన్నాయి.
Thou knewest my father David, that he could not build a house to the name of the Lord my God because of the wars that compassed him about, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.
4 ౪ తన దేవుడు యెహోవా నామ ఘనతకు అతడు ఒక మందిరం కట్టించడానికి వీలు లేకపోయింది. ఈ సంగతి మీకు తెలుసు. ఇప్పుడైతే శత్రువులెవరూ లేకుండా, ఏ అపాయమూ కలగకుండా నా దేవుడు యెహోవా నలుదిక్కులా శాంతి నెలకొల్పాడు.
And now the Lord my God has given me rest round about; there is no one plotting against [me], and there is no evil trespass [against me].
5 ౫ కాబట్టి ‘నీ సింహాసనం మీద నీకు బదులుగా నేను నిలిపే నీ కొడుకు నా నామ ఘనత కోసం ఒక మందిరం కట్టిస్తాడు’ అని యెహోవా నా తండ్రి దావీదుకు మాట ఇచ్చిన విధంగా నేను నా దేవుడు యెహోవా నామ ఘనత కోసం ఒక మందిరం కట్టించడానికి నిర్ణయించాను.
And, behold, I intend to build a house to the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord God spoke to my father David, saying, Thy son whom I will set on thy throne in thy place, he shall build a house to my name.
6 ౬ లెబానోనులో నా కోసం దేవదారు మానులను నరికించడానికి అనుమతి ఇవ్వండి. నా సేవకులు మీ సేవకులతో కలిసి పని చేస్తారు. ఎందుకంటే మానులు నరకడంలో సీదోనీయులకు సాటి మాలో ఎవరూ లేరు అని మీకు తెలుసు గదా.
And now command, and let [men] cut wood for me out of Libanus: and, behold, my servants [shall be] with thy servants, and I will give thee the wages of thy service, according to all that thou shalt say, because thou knowest that we have no one skilled in cutting timber like the Sidonians.
7 ౭ మీరు నిర్ణయించిన విధంగా నేను మీ సేవకులకు జీతం ఇస్తాను” అన్నాడు. హీరాము సొలొమోను చెప్పిన మాటలు విని చాలా సంతోషపడి “ఇంత గొప్ప జాతిగా విస్తరించిన ప్రజానీకాన్ని పాలించడానికి జ్ఞానవంతుడైన కొడుకుని దావీదుకు దయచేసిన యెహోవాకు ఈ రోజున స్తుతి కలుగు గాక” అన్నాడు.
And it came to pass, as soon as Chiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed [be] God to-day, who has given to David a wise son over this numerous people.
8 ౮ అతడు సొలొమోనుకు జవాబు పంపుతూ “నీవు నాకు పంపిన సందేశాన్ని నేను అంగీకరించాను. దేవదారు, సరళ మానులను గురించి నీవు కోరినట్టే చేయిస్తాను.
And he sent to Solomon, saying, I have listened concerning all that thou hast sent to me for: I will do all thy will: [as for] timber of cedar and fir,
9 ౯ నా సేవకులు వాటిని లెబానోను నుండి సముద్రం దగ్గరకి తెస్తారు. అప్పుడు వాటిని తెప్పలుగా కట్టించి నీవు చెప్పిన చోటికి సముద్రం మీద చేరేలా చేసి, అక్కడ వాటిని నీకు అప్పగించే ఏర్పాటు నేను చేస్తాను. నీవు వాటిని తీసుకోవచ్చు. ఇందుకు బదులుగా నీవు నా సేవకుల పోషణ కోసం ఆహారం పంపించు” అన్నాడు.
my servants shall bring them down from Libanus to the sea: I will form them [into] rafts, [and bring them] to the place which thou shalt send to me [about]; and I will land them there, and thou shalt take [them] up: and thou shalt do my will, in giving bread to my household.
So Chiram gave to Solomon cedars, and fir trees, and all his desire.
11 ౧౧ సొలొమోను హీరాముకూ అతని పరివారం పోషణకు 2,00,000 తూముల గోదుమలు, 4, 16, 350 లీటర్ల స్వచ్ఛమైన నూనె పంపించాడు. ఈ విధంగా సొలొమోను ప్రతి సంవత్సరం హీరాముకు ఇస్తూ వచ్చాడు.
And Solomon gave to Chiram twenty thousand measures of wheat as food for his house, and twenty thousand baths of beaten oil thus Solomon gave to Chiram yearly.
12 ౧౨ యెహోవా సొలొమోనుకు చేసిన వాగ్దానం ప్రకారం అతనికి జ్ఞానం ప్రసాదించాడు. హీరాము, సొలొమోను సంధి చేసుకున్నారు, వారిద్దరి మధ్య శాంతి నెలకొంది.
And the Lord gave wisdom to Solomon as he promised him; and there was peace between Chiram and Solomon, and they made a covenant between them.
13 ౧౩ సొలొమోను రాజు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరి చేతా బలవంతంగా వెట్టి పని చేయించాడు. వారిలో 30,000 మంది వెట్టి చాకిరీ చేసే వారయ్యారు.
And the king raised a levy out of all Israel, and the levy was thirty thousand men.
14 ౧౪ అతడు వంతుల ప్రకారం వీరిని నెలకు 10,000 మందిని లెబానోనుకు పంపించాడు. వారు ఒక నెల లెబానోనులో, రెండు నెలలు ఇంటి దగ్గరా ఉండేవారు. ఆ వెట్టివారి మీద అదోనీరాము అధికారిగా ఉన్నాడు.
And he sent them to Libanus, ten thousand taking turn every month: they were a month in Libanus and two months at home: and Adoniram [was] over the levy.
15 ౧౫ అంతేగాక, సొలొమోనుకి బరువులు మోసేవారు 70,000 మందీ పర్వతాల్లో మానులు నరికే వారు 80,000 మందీ ఉన్నారు.
And Solomon had seventy thousand bearers of burdens, and eighty thousand hewers of stone in the mountain;
besides the rulers that were appointed over the works of Solomon, [there were] three thousand six hundred masters who wrought in the works.
17 ౧౭ రాజు ఆజ్ఞ ప్రకారం వారు మందిర పునాదిని చెక్కిన రాళ్లతో వేయడానికి గొప్పవి, చాలా విలువైనవి అయిన రాళ్ళు గనుల్లో నుండి తవ్వి తెప్పించారు.
[And the king commanded and they ] [brought great stones, precious stones for the foundation of the house, and unhewn stones. ]
18 ౧౮ ఈ విధంగా సొలొమోను పంపిన శిల్పకారులు, గిబ్లీయులు, హీరాము శిల్పకారులు మానులు నరికి రాళ్లను మలిచి మందిరం కట్టడానికి వాటిని సిద్ధపరిచారు.
And they prepared the stones and the timber [during] three years.
