1 ౧ దావీదు, మందిరం పనుల కోసం ఏర్పరచిన అధిపతులూ కలిసి, ఆసాపు, హేమాను, యెదూతూను అనేవాళ్ళ కొడుకుల్లో కొందరిని సేవ నిమిత్తం ప్రత్యేకపరచి, సితారాలను, స్వరమండలాలను, కంచు తాళాలను వాయిస్తూ ప్రవచించేలా నియమించారు. ఈ సేవా వృత్తిని బట్టి ఏర్పాటైన వాళ్ళ సంఖ్య ఎంతంటే,

Additionally, David and the commanders of the army set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to prophesy with the accompaniment of lyres, harps, and cymbals. The following is the list of the men who performed this service:

2 ౨ ఆసాపు కొడుకుల్లో రాజాజ్ఞప్రకారం ప్రవచిస్తూ, ఆసాపు చేతికింద ఉండేవాళ్ళు జక్కూరు, యోసేపు, నెతన్యా, అషర్యేలా, అనే వాళ్ళు.

From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asarelah. These sons of Asaph were under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king.

3 ౩ యెదూతూను సంబంధుల్లో స్తుతిపాటలు పాడుతూ యెహోవాను స్తుతించడానికి తీగవాయిద్యం వాయిస్తూ ప్రవచించే తమ తండ్రి యెదూతూను చేతికింద ఉండేవాళ్ళు గెదల్యా, జెరీ, యెషయా, హషబ్యా, మత్తిత్యా అనే ఆరుగురు.

From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah—six in all—under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the harp, giving thanks and praise to the LORD.

4 ౪ హేమాను సంబంధుల్లో హేమాను కొడుకులు బక్కీయాహు, మత్తన్యా, ఉజ్జీయేలు, షెబూయేలు, యెరీమోతు, హనన్యా, హనానీ, ఎలీయ్యాతా, గిద్దల్తీ, రోమమ్తియెజెరు, యొష్బెకాషా, మల్లోతి, హోతీరు, మహజీయోతు అనేవాళ్ళు.

From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

5 ౫ వీళ్ళందరూ దేవుని వాక్కు విషయంలో రాజుకు ప్రవక్త అయిన హేమాను కొడుకులు. హేమానును గొప్ప చెయ్యడానికి దేవుడు హేమానుకు పద్నాలుగు మంది కొడుకులను, ముగ్గురు కూతుళ్ళను అనుగ్రహించాడు.

All these sons of Heman the king’s seer were given him through the promises of God to exalt him, for God had given Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 ౬ వీళ్ళందరూ ఆసాపుకూ, యెదూతూనుకూ, హేమానుకూ, రాజు చేసిన కట్టడ ప్రకారం యెహోవా ఇంట్లో తాళాలు, స్వరమండలాలు, తీగ వాయిద్యాలు వాయిస్తూ, పాటలు పాడుతూ, తమ తండ్రి చేతి కింద దేవుని మందిరం సేవ జరిగిస్తూ ఉన్నారు.

All these were under the direction of their fathers for the music of the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the direction of the king.

7 ౭ యెహోవాకు పాటలు పాడడంలో నేర్పు గల తమ సహోదరులతో పాటు ఉన్న ప్రవీణులైన వాద్యకారుల లెక్క రెండు వందల ఎనభై ఎనిమిది.

Together with their relatives, who were all trained and skillful in the songs of the LORD, they numbered 288.

8 ౮ తాము చేసే సేవ విషయంలో చిన్న అనీ, పెద్ద అనీ, గురువనీ శిష్యుడనీ భేదం లేకుండా వంతుల కోసం చీట్లు వేశారు.

They cast lots for their duties, young and old alike, teacher as well as pupil.

9 ౯ మొదటి చీటి ఆసాపు వంశంలో ఉన్న యోసేపు పేరట పడింది, రెండోది గెదల్యా పేరట పడింది. ఇతనూ, ఇతని సహోదరులూ కొడుకులూ పన్నెండుమంది.

The first lot, which was for Asaph, fell to Joseph, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all; the second to Gedaliah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

10 ౧౦ మూడోది జక్కూరు పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండుమంది.

the third to Zaccur, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

11 ౧౧ నాలుగోది యిజ్రీ పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండుమంది.

the fourth to Izri, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

12 ౧౨ అయిదోది నెతన్యా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

13 ౧౩ ఆరోది బక్కీయాహు పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

14 ౧౪ ఏడోది యెషర్యేలా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the seventh to Jesarelah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

15 ౧౫ ఎనిమిదోది యెషయా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

16 ౧౬ తొమ్మిదోది మత్తన్యా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

17 ౧౭ పదోది షిమీ పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the tenth to Shimei, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

18 ౧౮ పదకొండోది అజరేలు పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the eleventh to Azarel, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

19 ౧౯ పన్నెండోది హషబ్యా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

20 ౨౦ పదమూడోది షూబాయేలు పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the thirteenth to Shubael, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

21 ౨౧ పదునాలుగోది మత్తిత్యా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the fourteenth to Mattithiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

23 ౨౩ పదహారోది హనన్యా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

24 ౨౪ పదిహేడోది యొష్బెకాషా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

25 ౨౫ పద్దెనిమిదోది హనానీ పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

26 ౨౬ పందొమ్మిదవది మల్లోతి పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

27 ౨౭ ఇరవయ్యోది ఎలీయ్యాతా పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

28 ౨౮ ఇరవై ఒకటోది హోతీరు పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

29 ౨౯ ఇరవై రెండోది గిద్దల్తీ పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

30 ౩౦ ఇరవై మూడోది మహజీయోతు పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;

31 ౩౧ ఇరవై నాలుగోది రోమమ్తీయెజెరు పేరట పడింది, ఇతని కొడుకులూ సహోదరులూ పన్నెండు మంది.

and the twenty-fourth to Romamti-ezer, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all.
