சங்கீதம் 90
1 ௧ தேவனுடைய மனிதனாகிய மோசேயின் ஜெபம். ஆண்டவரே, தேவனே நீர் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக எங்களுக்கு அடைக்கலமானவர்.
Lord, you have always (been [like] a home for us/protected us) [MET].
2 ௨ மலைகள் தோன்றுமுன்பும், நீர் பூமியையும், உலகத்தையும் உருவாக்குமுன்னும், நீரே அநாதியாய் என்றென்றைக்கும் தேவனாக இருக்கிறீர்.
Before you created the mountains, before you formed the earth and everything that is in it, you were eternally God, and you will be God forever.
[When people die], you cause their corpses to become soil again; you change their corpses to become dirt like [the first man] was created from.
When you (consider/think about) time, 1,000 years are [as short as] [SIM] one day which passes; [you consider that] [HYP] they are as short as a few hours in the night.
5 ௫ அவர்களை வெள்ளம்போல் அடித்துக்கொண்டு போகிறீர்; தூக்கத்திற்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கிறார்கள்; காலையிலே முளைக்கிற புல்லுக்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
You cause people suddenly to die [MET]; they [live only a short time], like a dream lasts only a short time. They are like grass/weeds [SIM] that grow up.
In the morning [DOU] the grass sprouts and grows well, but in the evening it dries up and (completely withers/dies).
[Similarly], [because of the sins that we have committed], you become angry with us; you terrify us and then you destroy us.
8 ௮ எங்களுடைய அக்கிரமங்களை உமக்கு முன்பாகவும், எங்களுடைய மறைவான பாவங்களை உமது முகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்திலும் நிறுத்தினீர்.
[It is as though] you place our sins in front of you, you spread out even our secret sins where you can see them.
9 ௯ எங்களுடைய நாட்களெல்லாம் உமது கோபத்தால் போய்விட்டது; ஒரு கதையைப்போல் எங்கள் வருடங்களைக் கழித்துப்போட்டோம்.
Because you are angry with us, you cause our lives to end; the years that we live pass as quickly as a sigh does.
10 ௧0 எங்களுடைய ஆயுள் நாட்கள் எழுபது வருடங்கள், பெலத்தின் மிகுதியால் எண்பது வருடங்களாக இருந்தாலும், அதின் மேன்மையானது வருத்தமும் சஞ்சலமுமே; அது சீக்கரமாகக் கடந்து போகிறது. நாங்களும் பறந்துபோகிறோம்.
People live for only 70 years; but if they are strong, some of them live for 80 years. But even during good years we have much pain and troubles; our lives soon end, and we die [EUP].
11 ௧௧ உமது கோபத்தின் வல்லமையையும், உமக்குப் பயப்படக்கூடிய விதமாக உமது கடுங்கோபத்தையும் அறிந்துகொள்கிறவன் யார்?
No one [RHQ] has fully experienced the powerful things you can do to them when you are angry with them, and people are not afraid that you will greatly punish them because of your being angry with them.
12 ௧௨ நாங்கள் ஞான இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாகும்படி, எங்களுடைய நாட்களை எண்ணும் அறிவை எங்களுக்குப் போதித்தருளும்.
So teach/help us to realize that we live for only a short time in order that we may [use our time] wisely.
Yahweh, how long [will you be angry with us]? Pity us who serve you.
14 ௧௪ நாங்கள் எங்களுடைய வாழ்நாட்களெல்லாம் சந்தோஷித்து மகிழும்படி, காலையிலே எங்களை உமது கிருபையால் திருப்தியாக்கும்.
Each morning show us that your faithfully loving us is enough for us in order that we may shout joyfully and be happy for the rest of our lives.
15 ௧௫ தேவனே நீர் எங்களை சிறுமைப்படுத்திய நாட்களுக்கும், நாங்கள் துன்பத்தைக் கண்ட வருடங்களுக்கும் இணையாக எங்களை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும்.
Cause us to now be as happy for as many years as you (afflicted us/caused us to be sad) and we experienced troubles.
Enable us to see the [great] things that you do and enable our descendants to [also] see your glorious power.
17 ௧௭ எங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய ஆண்டவரின் பிரியம் எங்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக; எங்களுடைய கைகளின் செயல்களை எங்களிடத்தில் உறுதிப்படுத்தும்; ஆம், எங்களுடைய கைகளின் செயல்களை எங்களிடத்தில் உறுதிப்படுத்தியருளும்.
Lord, our God, give us your blessings and enable us to be successful; yes, cause us to be successful in [everything] that we do [DOU]!
