சங்கீதம் 81
1 ௧ கித்தீத் என்னும் இசைக்கருவியை வாசிக்கும் இராகத் தலைவனுக்கு ஆசாப் அளித்த பாடல். நம்முடைய பெலனாகிய தேவனைக் கெம்பீரமாகப் பாடி, யாக்கோபின் தேவனைக்குறித்து ஆர்ப்பரியுங்கள்.
To the chief Musician upon Gittith, [A Psalm] of Asaph. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
For this [was] a statute for Israel, [and] a law of the God of Jacob.
5 ௫ நாம் அறியாத மொழியைக்கேட்ட எகிப்துதேசத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்படும்போது, இதை யோசேப்பிலே சாட்சியாக ஏற்படுத்தினார்.
This he ordained in Joseph [for] a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: [where] I heard a language [that] I understood not.
I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
7 ௭ நெருக்கத்திலே நீ கூப்பிட்டாய், நான் உன்னைத் தப்புவித்தேன்; இடிமுழக்கம் உண்டாகும் மறைவிடத்திலிருந்து உனக்கு உத்திரவு அருளினேன்; மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர்கள் அருகில் உன்னைச் சோதித்து அறிந்தேன். (சேலா)
Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)
8 ௮ என்னுடைய மக்களே கேள், உனக்குச் சாட்சியிட்டுச் சொல்லுவேன்; இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தால் நலமாக இருக்கும்.
Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
10 ௧0 உன்னை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்த உன்னுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவா நானே; உன்னுடைய வாயை விரிவாகத் திற, நான் அதை நிரப்புவேன்.
I [am] the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
12 ௧௨ ஆகையால் அவர்களை அவர்கள் இருதயத்தின் கடினத்திற்கு விட்டுவிட்டேன்; தங்களுடைய யோசனைகளின்படியே நடந்தார்கள்.
So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: [and] they walked in their own counsels.
13 ௧௩ ஆ, என்னுடைய மக்கள் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, இஸ்ரவேல் என்னுடைய வழிகளில் நடந்தால் நலமாக இருக்கும்!
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, [and] Israel had walked in my ways!
14 ௧௪ நான் சீக்கிரத்தில் அவர்களுடைய எதிராளிகளைத் தாழ்த்தி, என்னுடைய கையை அவர்கள் எதிரிகளுக்கு விரோதமாகத் திருப்புவேன்.
I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15 ௧௫ அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் அவருக்கு வஞ்சகம் பேசி அடங்குவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய காலம் என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும்.
The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
16 ௧௬ செழுமையான கோதுமையினால் அவர்களுக்கு உணவளிப்பார்; கன்மலையின் தேனினால் உன்னைத் திருப்தியாக்குவேன்.
He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
