1 ௧ எதுதூன் என்னும் இராகத்தலைவனுக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட ஆசாபின் பாடல். நான் தேவனை நோக்கி என்னுடைய சத்தத்தை உயர்த்திக் கெஞ்சினேன், என்னுடைய சத்தத்தை தேவனிடத்தில் உயர்த்தினேன், அவர் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தார்.
To the Chief Musician. On "Jeduthun." Asaph’s, a Melody. With my voice—unto God, will I make outcry, With my voice unto God, and he will give ear unto me;
2 ௨ என்னுடைய ஆபத்துநாளில் ஆண்டவரைத் தேடினேன்; இரவிலும் என்னுடைய கை தளராமல் விரிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது; என்னுடைய ஆத்துமா ஆறுதலடையாமல்போனது.
In the day of my distress—unto My Lord, will I seek, My hand, by night, hath been outstretched and never once became slack, My soul, hath refused to be consoled;
3 ௩ நான் தேவனை நினைத்தபோது அலறினேன்; நான் தியானிக்கும்போது என்னுடைய ஆவி சோர்ந்துபோனது. (சேலா)
I remember God and I murmur, I muse, and my spirit swooneth. (Selah)
4 ௪ நான் தூங்காதபடி என்னுடைய கண்ணிமைகளைப் பிடித்திருக்கிறீர்; நான் பேசமுடியாதபடி கலக்கமடைகிறேன்.
Thou hast held, watching, mine eyes, I was driven to and fro, and could not speak;
5 ௫ ஆரம்பநாட்களையும், ஆரம்பகாலத்து வருடங்களையும் சிந்திக்கிறேன்.
I reasoned, Of the days of aforetime, Of the years of by-gone ages;
6 ௬ இரவுநேரத்தில் என்னுடைய பாடலை நான் நினைத்து, என்னுடைய இருதயத்தோடு பேசிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்; என் ஆவி ஆராய்ச்சிசெய்தது.
I remember my song in the night, —With my own heart, I commune, And my spirit, maketh search: —
7 ௭ ஆண்டவர் நித்தியகாலமாகத் தள்ளிவிடுவாரோ? இனி ஒருபோதும் தயை செய்யாமலிருப்பாரோ?
For ages, will My Lord reject? And, not again, grant acceptance any more?
8 ௮ அவருடைய கிருபை முற்றிலும் அற்றுப்போனதோ? வாக்குத்தத்தமானது தலைமுறை தலைமுறைக்கும் ஒழிந்துபோனதோ?
Hath his lovingkindness, come to a perpetual end? Hath his word failed to generation after generation?
9 ௯ தேவன் இரக்கஞ்செய்ய மறந்தாரோ? கோபத்தினாலே தமது உருக்கமான இரக்கங்களை அடைத்துக்கொண்டாரோ? என்றேன். (சேலா)
Hath GOD, forgotten to show favour? Or hath he shut up, in anger, his compassions? (Selah)
10 ௧0 அப்பொழுது நான்: இது என்னுடைய பலவீனம்; ஆனாலும் உன்னதமானவருடைய வலதுகரத்திலுள்ள வருடங்களை நினைவுகூருவேன்.
Then said I—An affliction to me, it is, The changing of the right hand of the Most High.
11 ௧௧ யெகோவாவுடைய செயல்களை நினைவுகூருவேன், உம்முடைய ஆரம்பகாலத்து அதிசயங்களையே நினைவுகூருவேன்;
I will remember the doings of Yah, Surely I will remember, out of aforetime, thy wonderful way;
12 ௧௨ உம்முடைய கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் தியானித்து, உம்முடைய செயல்களை யோசிப்பேன் என்றேன்.
And will talk to myself of all thy work, And, of thy doings, will I muse: —
13 ௧௩ தேவனே, உமது வழி பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலுள்ளது; நம்முடைய தேவனைப்போலப் பெரிய தேவன் யார்?
O God, in the sanctuary, is thy way, —Who is a great GOD like Elohim?
14 ௧௪ அதிசயங்களைச் செய்கிற தேவன் நீரே; மக்களுக்குள்ளே உம்முடைய வல்லமையை விளங்கச்செய்தீர்.
Thou, art GOD, doing wonderfully, —Thou hast made known, among the peoples, thy might;
15 ௧௫ யாக்கோபு யோசேப்பு என்பவர்களின் சந்ததியாகிய உம்முடைய மக்களை, உமது வல்லமையினாலே மீட்டுக்கொண்டீர். (சேலா)
Thou didst redeem, with thine arm—Thy people, Thy sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 ௧௬ தண்ணீர்கள் உம்மைக் கண்டது; தேவனே, தண்ணீர்கள் உம்மைக் கண்டு தத்தளித்தது; ஆழங்களும் கலங்கினது.
The waters saw thee, O God, The waters saw thee, They were in birth-throes, Yea the resounding deeps were stirred;
17 ௧௭ மேகங்கள் தண்ணீர்களைப் பொழிந்தது; ஆகாயமண்டலங்கள் முழக்கமிட்டது; உம்முடைய அம்புகளும் தெறிப்புண்டு பறந்தது.
The clouds, poured down waters, The skies uttered, a voice, Yea, thine arrows, flew hither and thither;
18 ௧௮ உம்முடைய குமுறலின் சத்தம் சுழல்காற்றில் முழங்கினது; மின்னல்கள் உலகை பிரகாசிக்கச் செய்தது; பூமி குலுங்கி அதிர்ந்தது.
The, voice of thy thunder, was in the whirlwind, Thy lightnings illumined the world, The earth, trembled and quaked;
19 ௧௯ உமது வழி கடலிலும், உமது பாதைகள் திரண்ட தண்ணீர்களிலும் இருந்தது; உமது காலடிகள் தெரியப்படாமல்போனது.
In the sea, was thy way, And, thy path, in the mighty waters, And, thy footprints, could not be known:
20 ௨0 மோசே ஆரோன் என்பவர்களின் கையால், உமது மக்களை ஒரு ஆட்டு மந்தையைப்போல வழிநடத்தினீர்.
Thou didst lead, like a flock, thy people, By the hand of Moses and Aaron.
