சங்கீதம் 131

1 ௧ தாவீதின் ஆரோகண பாடல். யெகோவாவே, என்னுடைய இருதயம் பெருமைகொள்வதில்லை, என்னுடைய கண்கள் மேட்டிமையுள்ளவைகளுமல்ல; பெரிய காரியங்களிலும், எனக்கு மிஞ்சின கருமங்களிலும் நான் தலையிடுகிறதுமில்லை.

“A song of the degrees by David.” O Lord, my heart was not haughty, nor were my eyes lofty: neither have I walked after matters too great, or those too wonderful for me.

2 ௨ தாயின் பால்மறந்த குழந்தையைப்போல நான் என்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவை அடக்கி அமரச்செய்தேன்; என்னுடைய ஆத்துமா பால்மறந்த குழந்தையைப்போல் இருக்கிறது.

Surely I have pacified and stilled my soul, like the suckling on its mother's breast: like a suckling is in me my soul.

3 ௩ இதுமுதல் என்றென்றைக்கும் இஸ்ரவேல் யெகோவாவை நம்பியிருப்பதாக.

Let Israel wait for the Lord from this time forth and for ever more.
