சங்கீதம் 123

1 ௧ ஆரோகண பாடல். பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிறவரே, உம்மிடத்திற்கு என்னுடைய கண்களை ஏறெடுக்கிறேன்.

A song of ascents. I Lift up my eyes to you, who are throned in the heavens.

2 ௨ தங்களுடைய எஜமான்களின் கையை நோக்கியிருப்பதுபோலவும், வேலைக்காரியின் கண்கள் தன்னுடைய எஜமானியின் கையை நோக்கியிருப்பதுபோலவும், எங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா எங்களுக்கு இரக்கஞ்செய்யும்வரைக்கும், எங்களுடைய கண்கள் அவரை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது.

As the eyes of a servant turn to the hand of his master, or the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so do our eyes turn to the Lord our God, until he is gracious to us.

3 ௩ எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் யெகோவாவே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும்; அவமானத்தினால் மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறோம்.

Be gracious, be gracious to us, Lord. Scorn enough, and more, have we borne

4 ௪ சுகமாக வாழ்கிறவர்களுடைய அவமானத்தினாலும், அகங்காரிகளுடைய இகழ்ச்சியினாலும், எங்களுடைய ஆத்துமா மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.

More than enough have we borne of derision from those at their ease, of scorn from those who are haughty.
