சங்கீதம் 116

1 ௧ யெகோவா என்னுடைய சத்தத்தையும் என்னுடைய விண்ணப்பத்தையும் கேட்டதினால், அவரில் அன்புகூருகிறேன்.

I love the LORD, for He has heard my voice— my appeal for mercy.

2 ௨ அவர் தமது செவியை எனக்குச் சாய்த்தபடியால், நான் உயிரோடிருக்கும்வரை அவரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்.

Because He has inclined His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.

3 ௩ மரணக்கட்டுகள் என்னைச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டது, பாதாளக் கண்ணிகள் என்னைப் பிடித்தது; கவலையும் துன்பமும் அடைந்தேன். (Sheol h7585)

The ropes of death entangled me; the anguish of Sheol overcame me; I was confronted by trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

4 ௪ அப்பொழுது நான் யெகோவாவுடைய பெயரைத் தொழுதுகொண்டு: யெகோவாவே, என்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவை விடுவியும் என்று கெஞ்சினேன்.

Then I called on the name of the LORD: “O LORD, deliver my soul!”

5 ௫ யெகோவா கிருபையும் நீதியுமுள்ளவர், நம்முடைய தேவன் மனவுருக்கம் உள்ளவர்.

The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

6 ௬ யெகோவா கபடற்றவர்களைக் காக்கிறார்; நான் மெலிந்துபோனேன், அவர் என்னைப் பாதுகாத்தார்.

The LORD preserves the simplehearted; I was helpless, and He saved me.

7 ௭ என் ஆத்துமாவே, யெகோவா உனக்கு நன்மை செய்தபடியால், நீ உன்னுடைய இளைப்பாறுதலுக்குத் திரும்பு.

Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

8 ௮ என் ஆத்துமாவை மரணத்திற்கும், என் கண்ணைக் கண்ணீருக்கும், என் காலை இடறுதலுக்கும் தப்புவித்தீர்.

For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

9 ௯ நான் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக உயிருள்ளவர்கள் தேசத்திலே நடப்பேன்.

I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

10 ௧0 விசுவாசித்தேன், ஆகையால் பேசுகிறேன்; நான் மிகவும் வருத்தப்பட்டேன்.

I believed, therefore I said, “I am greatly afflicted.”

11 ௧௧ எந்த மனிதனும் பொய்யன் என்று என்னுடைய மனக்கலக்கத்திலே சொன்னேன்.

In my alarm I said, “All men are liars!”

12 ௧௨ யெகோவா எனக்குச் செய்த எல்லா உதவிகளுக்காகவும், அவருக்கு என்னத்தைச் செலுத்துவேன்.

How can I repay the LORD for all His goodness to me?

13 ௧௩ இரட்சிப்பின் பாத்திரத்தை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, யெகோவாவுடைய பெயரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்.

I will lift the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.

14 ௧௪ நான் யெகோவாவுக்குச் செய்த பொருத்தனைகளை அவருடைய மக்களெல்லோருக்கும் முன்பாகவும் செலுத்துவேன்.

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people.

15 ௧௫ யெகோவாவுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களின் மரணம் அவருடைய பார்வைக்கு அருமையானது.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.

16 ௧௬ யெகோவாவே, நான் உமது அடியேன்; நான் உமது அடியாளின் மகனும், உமது ஊழியக்காரனுமாக இருக்கிறேன்; என்னுடைய கட்டுகளை அவிழ்த்துவிட்டீர்.

Truly, O LORD, I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have broken my bonds.

17 ௧௭ நான் உமக்கு நன்றிபலியைச் செலுத்தி, யெகோவாவுடைய பெயரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்.

I will offer to You a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.

18 ௧௮ நான் யெகோவாவுக்குச் செய்த பொருத்தனைகளை அவருடைய மக்களெல்லோருக்கும் முன்பாகவும்,

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people,

19 ௧௯ யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் முற்றங்களிலும், எருசலேமே உன்னுடைய நடுவிலும் நிறைவேற்றுவேன். அல்லேலூயா.

in the courts of the LORD’s house, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
