சங்கீதம் 114

1 ௧ இஸ்ரவேல் எகிப்திலும், யாக்கோபின் வீட்டார் அந்நிய மக்களிடமிருந்து புறப்பட்டபோது,

When Israel went out of Egypt, and the house of Iaakob from the barbarous people,

2 ௨ யூதா அவருக்குப் பரிசுத்த இடமும், இஸ்ரவேல் அவருக்கு இராஜ்ஜியமுமானது.

Iudah was his sanctification, and Israel his dominion.

3 ௩ கடல் கண்டு விலகி ஓடினது; யோர்தான் பின்னிட்டுத் திரும்பினது.

The Sea sawe it and fled: Iorden was turned backe.

4 ௪ மலைகள் ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களைப்போலவும், குன்றுகள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைப்போலவும் துள்ளினது.

The mountaines leaped like rams, and the hils as lambes.

5 ௫ கடலே, நீ விலகியோடுகிறதற்கும்; யோர்தானே, நீ பின்னாக திரும்புகிறதற்கும்;

What ailed thee, O Sea, that thou fleddest? O Iorden, why wast thou turned backe?

6 ௬ மலைகளே, நீங்கள் ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களைப்போலவும்; குன்றுகளே, நீங்கள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைப்போலவும் துள்ளுகிறதற்கும், உங்களுக்கு என்ன வந்தது?

Ye mountaines, why leaped ye like rams, and ye hils as lambes?

7 ௭ பூமியே, நீ ஆண்டவருக்கு முன்பாகவும், யாக்கோபுடைய தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகவும் அதிரு.

The earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Iaakob,

8 ௮ அவர் கன்மலையைத் தண்ணீர் குளமாகவும், கற்பாறையை நீரூற்றுகளாகவும் மாற்றுகிறார்.

Which turneth the rocke into waterpooles, and the flint into a fountaine of water.
