நீதிமொழிகள் 15

1 ௧ சாந்தமான பதில் கடுங்கோபத்தை அடக்கும்; கடுஞ்சொற்களோ கோபத்தை எழுப்பும்.

A soft answer turneth away wrath; But harsh words stir up anger.

2 ௨ ஞானிகளின் நாவு அறிவை உபயோகப்படுத்தும்; மூடர்களின் வாயோ புத்தியீனத்தைக் கக்கும்.

The tongue of the wise maketh knowledge pleasing; But the mouth of fools poureth forth folly.

3 ௩ யெகோவாவின் கண்கள் எந்த இடத்திலுமிருந்து, நல்லவர்களையும், தீயவர்களையும் நோக்கிப்பார்க்கிறது.

The eyes of the LORD are in every place; They behold the evil and the good.

4 ௪ ஆரோக்கியமுள்ள நாவு ஜீவமரம்; நாவின் மாறுபாடோ ஆவியை நொறுக்கும்.

A mild tongue is a tree of life; But perverseness therein is a wound in the spirit.

5 ௫ மூடன் தன்னுடைய தகப்பனுடைய புத்தியை அலட்சியப்படுத்துகிறான்; கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலைக் கவனித்து நடக்கிறவனோ விவேகி.

The fool despiseth the correction of his father; But he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

6 ௬ நீதிமானுடைய வீட்டில் அதிக பொக்கிஷம் உண்டு; துன்மார்க்கனுடைய வருமானத்திலோ துன்பம் உண்டு.

In the house of the righteous is much wealth; But in the revenues of the wicked there is trouble.

7 ௭ ஞானிகளின் உதடுகள் அறிவை விதைக்கும்; மூடர்களின் இருதயமோ அப்படியல்ல.

The lips of the wise spread abroad knowledge; But the heart of the foolish is not sound.

8 ௮ துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய பலி யெகோவாவுக்கு அருவருப்பானது; செம்மையானவர்களின் ஜெபமோ அவருக்குப் பிரியம்.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD; But the prayer of the righteous is his delight.

9 ௯ துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய வழி யெகோவாவுக்கு அருவருப்பானது; நீதியைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவனையோ அவர் நேசிக்கிறார்.

The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD; But him who followeth after righteousness he loveth.

10 ௧0 வழியைவிட்டு விலகுகிறவனுக்குப் புத்திமதி எரிச்சலாக இருக்கும்; கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலை வெறுக்கிறவன் சாவான்.

Sore chastisement shall be to him that forsaketh the way; He that hateth reproof shall die.

11 ௧௧ பாதாளமும் அழிவும் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்கு முன்பாக இருக்க, மனுமக்களுடைய இருதயம் அதிகமாக அவர் முன்பாக இருக்குமல்லவோ? (Sheol h7585)

The underworld, yea, the region of death, is before the LORD; How much more the hearts of the sons of men! (Sheol h7585)

12 ௧௨ பரியாசக்காரன் தன்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளுகிறவனை நேசிக்கமாட்டான்; ஞானவான்களிடத்தில் போகவுமாட்டான்.

The scoffer loveth not his reprover; He will not resort to the wise.

13 ௧௩ மனமகிழ்ச்சி முகமலர்ச்சியைத் தரும்; மனதுக்கத்தினாலே ஆவி முறிந்துபோகும்.

A joyous heart maketh a bright countenance; But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

14 ௧௪ புத்திமானுடைய மனம் அறிவைத்தேடும்; மூடர்களின் வாயோ மதியீனத்தை மேயும்.

The heart of the man of understanding seeketh knowledge; But the mouth of fools feedeth on folly.

15 ௧௫ சிறுமைப்பட்டவனுடைய நாட்களெல்லாம் தீங்குள்ளவைகள்; மனரம்மியமோ நிரந்தர விருந்து.

The days of the afflicted are all evil; But he that hath a cheerful heart hath a continual feast.

16 ௧௬ சஞ்சலத்தோடு கூடிய அதிகப் பொருட்களைவிட, யெகோவாவைப் பற்றும் பயத்தோடு கூடிய கொஞ்சப்பொருளே உத்தமம்.

Better is a little, with the fear of the LORD, Than much treasure, and trouble therewith.

17 ௧௭ பகையோடு இருக்கும் கொழுத்த எருதின் கறியைவிட, சிநேகத்தோடு இருக்கும் இலைக்கறியே நல்லது.

Better is a dinner of herbs, where there is love, Than a fatted ox, and hatred therewith.

18 ௧௮ கோபக்காரன் சண்டையை எழுப்புகிறான்; நீடியசாந்தமுள்ளவனோ சண்டையை அமர்த்துகிறான்.

The passionate man stirreth up strife; But he who is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

19 ௧௯ சோம்பேறியின் வழி முள்வேலிக்குச் சமம்; நீதிமானுடைய வழியோ ராஜபாதை.

The way of the slothful is as a hedge of thorns; But the way of the righteous is a highway.

20 ௨0 ஞானமுள்ள மகன் தகப்பனைச் சந்தோஷப்படுத்துகிறான்; மதியற்ற மனிதனோ தன்னுடைய தாயை அலட்சியப்படுத்துகிறான்.

A wise son maketh a glad father; But a foolish man despiseth his mother.

21 ௨௧ மூடத்தனம் புத்தியீனனுக்குச் சந்தோஷம்; புத்திமானோ தன்னுடைய செயல்களைச் செம்மைப்படுத்துகிறான்.

Folly is joy to him who lacketh wisdom; But the man of understanding walketh uprightly.

22 ௨௨ ஆலோசனை இல்லாததால் எண்ணங்கள் சிதைந்துபோகும்; ஆலோசனைக்காரர்கள் அநேகர் இருந்தால் அவைகள் உறுதிப்படும்.

Without counsel, plans come to nought; But with a multitude of counsellors they are established.

23 ௨௩ மனிதனுக்குத் தன்னுடைய வாய்மொழியினால் மகிழ்ச்சியுண்டாகும்; ஏற்றகாலத்தில் சொன்ன வார்த்தை எவ்வளவு நல்லது!

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth; And a word in due season, how good it is!

24 ௨௪ கீழான பாதாளத்தைவிட்டு விலகும்படி, விவேகிக்கு வாழ்வின் வழியானது உன்னதத்தை நோக்கும் வழியாகும். (Sheol h7585)

The path of life is upward for the wise, So that he turneth away from the underworld beneath. (Sheol h7585)

25 ௨௫ அகங்காரியின் வீட்டைக் யெகோவா பிடுங்கிப்போடுவார்; விதவையின் எல்லையையோ நிலைப்படுத்துவார்.

The LORD destroyeth the house of the proud; But he will establish the border of the widow.

26 ௨௬ துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய நினைவுகள் யெகோவாவுக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகள்; சுத்தமானவர்களுடைய வார்த்தைகளோ இன்பமானவைகள்.

Evil devices are an abomination to the LORD; But pleasant words are pure.

27 ௨௭ பொருளாசைக்காரன் தன்னுடைய வீட்டைக் கலைக்கிறான்; லஞ்சங்களை வெறுக்கிறவனோ பிழைப்பான்.

He who is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; But he who hateth bribes shall live.

28 ௨௮ நீதிமானுடைய மனம் பதில் சொல்ல யோசிக்கும்; துன்மார்க்கனுடைய வாயோ தீமைகளைக் கொப்பளிக்கும்.

The heart of the righteous meditateth on his answer; But the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

29 ௨௯ துன்மார்க்கர்களுக்குக் யெகோவா தூரமாக இருக்கிறார்; நீதிமான்களின் ஜெபத்தையோ கேட்கிறார்.

The LORD is far from the wicked: But he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

30 ௩0 கண்களின் ஒளி இருதயத்தைப் பூரிப்பாக்கும்; நற்செய்தி எலும்புகளை ஆரோக்கியமாக்கும்.

The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart, And good tidings make the bones fat.

31 ௩௧ வாழ்வுக்கேதுவான கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும் காது ஞானிகளிடத்திலே தங்கும்.

The ear that hearkeneth to the reproof of life Shall dwell among the wise.

32 ௩௨ புத்திமதியைத் தள்ளிவிடுகிறவன் தன்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவை வெறுக்கிறான்; கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலைக் கேட்கிறவனோ ஞானமடைவான்.

He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own life; But he that hearkeneth to rebuke getteth understanding.

33 ௩௩ யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயப்படுதல் ஞானத்தைப் போதிக்கும்; மேன்மைக்கு முன்னானது தாழ்மை.

The fear of the LORD guideth to wisdom, And before honor is humility.
