மத்தேயு 20
1 ௧ பரலோகராஜ்யம் வீட்டெஜமானாகிய ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கிறது; அவன் தன் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திற்கு வேலையாட்களை அமர்த்த அதிகாலையிலே புறப்பட்டான்.
“For the kingdom of the heavens is like to a man, a householder, who went forth with the morning to hire workmen for his vineyard,
2 ௨ வேலையாட்களுடன் நாளொன்றுக்கு ஒரு வெள்ளிக்காசு கூலிபேசி, அவர்களைத் தன் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திற்கு அனுப்பினான்.
and having agreed with the workmen for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
And having gone forth about the third hour, he saw others standing in the marketplace idle,
4 ௪ நீங்களும் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திற்குப் போங்கள், நியாயமானபடி உங்களுக்குக் கூலி கொடுப்பேன் என்றான்; அவர்களும் போனார்கள்.
and to these he said, Go—also you—to the vineyard, and whatever may be righteous I will give you;
and they went away. Again, having gone forth about the sixth and the ninth hour, he did in like manner.
6 ௬ ஐந்துமணியளவிலும் அவன்போய், சும்மா நிற்கிற வேறு சிலரைப் பார்த்து: நீங்கள் பகல் முழுவதும் இங்கே சும்மா நிற்கிறதென்ன என்று கேட்டான்.
And about the eleventh hour, having gone forth, he found others standing idle and says to them, Why have you stood here idle all day?
7 ௭ அதற்கு அவர்கள்: ஒருவரும் எங்களுக்கு வேலை கொடுக்கவில்லை என்றார்கள். அவன் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: நீங்களும் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திற்குப் போங்கள், நியாயமானபடி கூலி பெற்றுக்கொள்வீர்கள் என்றான்.
They say to him, Because no one hired us; he says to them, Go—you also—to the vineyard, and whatever may be righteous you will receive.
8 ௮ மாலைநேரத்தில், திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் எஜமான் தன் நிர்வாகியைப் பார்த்து: நீ வேலையாட்களை அழைத்து, பிந்தி வந்தவர்கள் தொடங்கி முதலில் வந்தவர்கள்வரைக்கும் அவர்களுக்குக் கூலிகொடு என்றான்.
And evening having come, the lord of the vineyard says to his steward, Call the workmen, and pay them the reward, having begun from the last—to the first.
And they of about the eleventh hour having come, each received a denarius.
10 ௧0 முந்தி சேர்க்கப்பட்டவர்கள் வந்து, தங்களுக்கு அதிக கூலி கிடைக்கும் என்று நினைத்தார்கள், அவர்களும் ஆளுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு வெள்ளிக்காசு வாங்கினார்கள்.
And the first having come, supposed that they will receive more, and they received, they also, each a denarius,
and having received [it], they were murmuring against the householder, saying,
12 ௧௨ பிந்திவந்தவர்களாகிய இவர்கள் ஒருமணிநேரம்மட்டும் வேலைசெய்தார்கள்; பகலின் பாடுகளையும் வெயிலின் வெப்பத்தையும் சகித்த எங்களுக்கு இவர்களைச் சமமாக்கினீரே என்று முறுமுறுத்தார்கள்.
that, These, the last, worked one hour, and you made them equal to us, who were bearing the burden of the day—and the heat.
13 ௧௩ அவர்களில் ஒருவனுக்கு அவன் மறுமொழியாக: நண்பனே, நான் உனக்கு அநியாயம் செய்யவில்லை; நீ என்னிடத்தில் ஒரு வெள்ளிக்காசுக்குச் சம்மதிக்கவில்லையா?
And he answering said to one of them, Friend, I do no unrighteousness to you; did you not agree with me for a denarius?
14 ௧௪ உன்னுடையதை நீ வாங்கிக்கொண்டு போ, உனக்குக் கொடுத்ததுபோல பிந்திவந்தவனாகிய இவனுக்கும் கொடுப்பது என்னுடைய விருப்பம்.
Take that which is yours, and go; and I will to give to this, the last, also as to you;
15 ௧௫ என்னுடையதை என் விருப்பப்படிச்செய்ய எனக்கு அதிகாரமில்லையா? நான் தாராளமனமுடையனாக இருக்கிறபடியால், நீ பொறாமைகொள்ளலாமா என்றான்.
is it not lawful to me to do what I will in my own? Is your eye evil because I am good?
16 ௧௬ இவ்விதமாக, பிந்தினோர் முந்தினோராகவும், முந்தினோர் பிந்தினோராகவும் இருப்பார்கள்; அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் அநேகர், தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களோ சிலர் என்றார்.
So the last will be first, and the first last, for many are called, and few chosen.”
And Jesus going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples by themselves in the way and said to them,
18 ௧௮ இதோ, எருசலேமுக்குப் போகிறோம்; மனிதகுமாரன் பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களிடத்திலும் வேதபண்டிதரிடத்திலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்; அவர்கள் அவரை மரணதண்டனைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்த்து,
“Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes,
19 ௧௯ அவரைப் பரிகாசம்பண்ணவும், சாட்டையினால் அடிக்கவும், சிலுவையில் அறையவும் யூதரல்லாதவரிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்கள்; ஆனாலும் மூன்றாம்நாளிலே அவர் உயிரோடு எழுந்திருப்பார் என்றார்.
and they will condemn Him to death, and will deliver Him to the nations to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify, and the third day He will rise again.”
20 ௨0 அப்பொழுது, செபெதேயுவின் குமாரர்களுடைய தாய் தன் குமாரர்களோடுகூட அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, அவரைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு: உம்மிடத்தில் ஒரு விண்ணப்பம் செய்யவேண்டும் என்றாள்.
Then came near to Him the mother of the sons of Zebedee, with her sons, prostrating and asking something from Him,
21 ௨௧ அவர் அவளைப் பார்த்து: உனக்கு என்ன வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவள்: உம்முடைய ராஜ்யத்திலே என் குமாரர்களாகிய இவ்விரண்டுபேரில் ஒருவன் உமது வலதுபக்கத்திலும், ஒருவன் உமது இடதுபக்கத்திலும் உட்காரும்படி அருள்செய்யவேண்டும் என்றாள்.
and He said to her, “What do you will?” She says to Him, “Say that they may sit—these two sons of mine—one on Your right hand and one on the left, in Your kingdom.”
22 ௨௨ இயேசு மறுமொழியாக: நீங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறது இன்னது என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியவில்லை. நான் குடிக்கும் பாத்திரத்தில் நீங்கள் குடிக்கவும், நான் பெறும் இடத்தை நீங்கள் பெறவும் உங்களால் கூடுமா என்றார். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: கூடும் என்றார்கள்.
And Jesus answering said, “You have not known what you ask for yourselves; are you able to drink of the cup that I am about to drink? And with the immersion that I am immersed with, to be immersed?” They say to Him, “We are able.”
23 ௨௩ அவர் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: என் பாத்திரத்தில் நீங்கள் குடிப்பீர்கள், நான் பெறும் இடத்தையும் நீங்கள் பெறுவீர்கள்; ஆனாலும், என் வலதுபக்கத்திலும் என் இடதுபக்கத்திலும் உட்காரும்படி என் பிதாவினால் எவர்களுக்கு ஆயத்தம்செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கிறதோ அவர்களுக்கேயல்லாமல், மற்றொருவருக்கும் அதை அருளுவது என் காரியமல்ல என்றார்.
And He says to them, “Of My cup indeed you will drink, and with the immersion that I am immersed with you will be immersed; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but—to those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.”
And the ten having heard, were much displeased with the two brothers,
25 ௨௫ அப்பொழுது, இயேசு அவர்களைக் கிட்டவரச்செய்து: யூதரல்லாதவர்களுடைய தலைவர்கள் அவர்களை இறுமாப்பாக ஆளுகிறார்கள் என்றும், அதிகாரமுடைய மனிதர்கள் அவர்கள்மேல் கடினமாக அதிகாரம் செலுத்துகிறார்கள் என்றும், நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.
and Jesus having called them near, said, “You have known that the rulers of the nations exercise lordship over them, and those [who are] great exercise authority over them,
26 ௨௬ உங்களுக்குள்ளே அப்படி இருக்கலாகாது; உங்களில் எவனாவது பெரியவனாக இருக்கவிரும்பினால், அவன் உங்களுக்குப் பணிவிடைசெய்கிறவனாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
but not so will it be among you, but whoever may will among you to become great, let him be your servant;
27 ௨௭ உங்களில் எவனாவது முதன்மையானவனாக இருக்கவிரும்பினால், அவன் உங்களுக்குப் பணிவிடைசெய்கிறவனாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
and whoever may will among you to be first, let him be your servant;
28 ௨௮ அப்படியே, மனிதகுமாரனும் பணிவிடை பெரும்படி வராமல், பணிவிடைசெய்யவும், அநேகரை மீட்கும் பொருளாகத் தம்முடைய ஜீவனைக் கொடுக்கவும் வந்தார் என்றார்.
even as the Son of Man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give His life [as] a ransom for many.”
And they going forth from Jericho, there followed Him a great multitude,
30 ௩0 அப்பொழுது வழியருகே உட்கார்ந்திருந்த இரண்டு குருடர்கள், இயேசு அவ்வழியே வருகிறார் என்று கேள்விப்பட்டு: ஆண்டவரே, தாவீதின் குமாரனே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் என்று கூப்பிட்டார்கள்.
and behold, two blind men sitting by the way, having heard that Jesus passes by, cried, saying, “Deal kindly with us, Lord—Son of David.”
31 ௩௧ அவர்கள் பேசாதிருக்கும்படி மக்கள் அவர்களை அதட்டினார்கள். அவர்களோ: ஆண்டவரே, தாவீதின் குமாரனே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் என்று அதிகமாகக் கூப்பிட்டார்கள்.
And the multitude charged them that they might be silent, and they cried out the more, saying, “Deal kindly with us Lord—Son of David.”
32 ௩௨ இயேசு நின்று, அவர்களைத் தம்மிடத்தில் அழைத்து: நான் உங்களுக்கு என்னசெய்யவேண்டும் என்றிருக்கிறீர்கள் என்றார்.
And having stood, Jesus called them and said, “What do you will [that] I may do to you?”
They say to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened”;
34 ௩௪ இயேசு மனதுருகி, அவர்கள் கண்களைத் தொட்டார்; உடனே அவர்கள் பார்வையடைந்து, அவருக்குப் பின்னே சென்றார்கள்.
and having been moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.
