மத்தேயு 19
1 ௧ இயேசு இந்த வசனங்களைச் சொல்லிமுடித்தபின்பு, அவர் கலிலேயாவைவிட்டு யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையான யூதேயாவிற்கு வந்தார்.
When Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.
Great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there.
3 ௩ அப்பொழுது, பரிசேயர்கள் அவரைச் சோதிக்கவேண்டுமென்று அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: கணவனானவன் தன் மனைவியை எந்தக்காரணத்தினாலாவது விவாகரத்து செய்வது நியாயமா என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
Pharisees came to him, testing him and saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
4 ௪ அவர்களுக்கு அவர் மறுமொழியாக: ஆரம்பத்திலே மனிதர்களை உண்டாக்கினவர் அவர்களை ஆணும் பெண்ணுமாக உண்டாக்கினார் என்பதையும்,
He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,
5 ௫ இதினிமித்தம் கணவனானவன் தன் தகப்பனையும் தாயையும்விட்டுத் தன் மனைவியோடு இணைந்திருப்பான்; அவர்கள் இருவரும் ஒரே சரீரமாக இருப்பார்கள் என்று அவர் சொன்னதையும், நீங்கள் வாசிக்கவில்லையா?
and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’?
6 ௬ இப்படி இருக்கிறபடியினால், அவர்கள் இருவர்களாக இல்லாமல், ஒரே சரீரமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்; ஆகவே, தேவன் இணைத்ததை மனிதன் பிரிக்காதிருக்கவேண்டும் என்றார்.
So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
7 ௭ அதற்கு அவர்கள்: அப்படியானால், விடுதலைப்பத்திரம் கொடுத்து, அவளை விவாகரத்து செய்யலாம் என்று மோசே ஏன் கட்டளையிட்டார் என்றார்கள்.
They asked him, “Why then did Moses command us to give her a certificate of divorce and divorce her?”
8 ௮ அதற்கு அவர்: உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளை விவாகரத்து செய்யலாம் என்று உங்களுடைய இருதயக்கடினத்தினிமித்தம் மோசே உங்களுக்கு இடங்கொடுத்தார்; ஆரம்பமுதலாய் அப்படியிருக்கவில்லை.
He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
9 ௯ ஆதலால், எவனாவது தன் மனைவி வேசித்தனம் செய்ததினிமித்தமேயன்றி, அவளை விவாகரத்து செய்துவிட்டு வேறொரு பெண்ணைத் திருமணம்செய்தால், அவன் விபசாரம் செய்கிறவனாக இருப்பான்; விவாகரத்து செய்யப்பட்டவளைத் திருமணம் செய்கிறவனும் விபசாரம் செய்கிறவனாக இருப்பான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.”
10 ௧0 அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரைப் பார்த்து: மனைவியைப்பற்றி கணவனுடைய காரியம் இப்படியிருந்தால், திருமணம்செய்கிறது நல்லதல்ல என்றார்கள்.
His disciples said to him, “If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.”
But he said to them, “Not all men can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given.
12 ௧௨ தாயின் வயிற்றிலிருந்து அண்ணகர்களாகப் பிறந்தவர்களும் உண்டு; மனிதர்களால் அண்ணகர்களாக்கப்பட்டவர்களும் உண்டு; பரலோக ராஜ்யத்தினிமித்தம் தங்களை அண்ணகர்களாக்கிக்கொண்டவர்களும் உண்டு; இதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள வல்லவன் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்றார்.
For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven’s sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it.”
13 ௧௩ அப்பொழுது, சிறு பிள்ளைகளின்மேல் அவர் கரங்களை வைத்து ஜெபம்செய்யும்படிக்கு அவர்களை அவரிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; கொண்டுவந்தவர்களைச் சீடர்கள் அதட்டினார்கள்.
Then little children were brought to him that he should lay his hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them.
14 ௧௪ இயேசுவோ: சிறு பிள்ளைகள் என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறதற்கு இடங்கொடுங்கள்; அவர்களைத் தடைசெய்யாமலிருங்கள்; பரலோகராஜ்யம் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுடையது என்று சொல்லி,
But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
He laid his hands on them, and departed from there.
16 ௧௬ அப்பொழுது ஒருவன் வந்து, அவரைப் பார்த்து: நல்ல போதகரே, நித்தியஜீவனை அடைவதற்கு நான் எந்த நன்மையைச் செய்யவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டான். (aiōnios g166)
Behold, one came to him and said, “Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
17 ௧௭ அதற்கு அவர்: நீ என்னை நல்லவன் என்று சொல்வானேன்? தேவன் ஒருவர்தவிர நல்லவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லையே; நீ ஜீவனில் பிரவேசிக்க விரும்பினால் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள் என்றார்.
He said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18 ௧௮ அவன் அவரைப் பார்த்து: எவைகளை என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு இயேசு: கொலை செய்யாதிருப்பாயாக, விபசாரம் செய்யாதிருப்பாயாக, களவு செய்யாதிருப்பாயாக, பொய்ச்சாட்சி சொல்லாதிருப்பாயாக;
He said to him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’
19 ௧௯ உன் தகப்பனையும் உன் தாயையும் மதிப்பாயாக; உன்னிடத்தில் நீ அன்புசெலுத்துவதுபோல மற்றவனிடத்திலும் அன்புசெலுத்துவாயாக என்பவைகளையே என்றார்.
‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20 ௨0 அந்த வாலிபன் அவரைப் பார்த்து: இவைகளையெல்லாம் என் சிறுவயதுமுதல் கைக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்; இன்னும் என்னிடத்தில் குறைவு என்ன என்றான்.
The young man said to him, “All these things I have observed from my youth. What do I still lack?”
21 ௨௧ அதற்கு இயேசு: நீ தேவனுக்கு பூரண சற்குணனாக இருக்கவிரும்பினால், போய், உனக்கு உண்டானவைகளை விற்று, தரித்திரர்களுக்குக் கொடு, அப்பொழுது பரலோகத்தில் உனக்குச் செல்வம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்; பின்பு என்னைப் பின்பற்றிவா என்றார்.
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
22 ௨௨ அந்த வாலிபன் மிகுந்த ஆஸ்தியுள்ளவனாக இருந்தபடியால், இயேசு சொன்னவைகளைக் கேட்டபொழுது, துக்கமடைந்தவனாகப் போய்விட்டான்.
But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he was one who had great possessions.
23 ௨௩ அப்பொழுது, இயேசு தம்முடைய சீடர்களைப் பார்த்து: செல்வந்தன் பரலோகராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பது சுலபமல்லவென்று, உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
Jesus said to his disciples, “Most certainly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty.
24 ௨௪ மேலும் செல்வந்தன் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பதைவிட, ஒட்டகமானது ஊசியின் காதிலே நுழைவது சுலபமாக இருக்கும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
25 ௨௫ அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அதைக்கேட்டு மிகவும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு: அப்படியானால், யார் இரட்சிக்கப்படமுடியும் என்றார்கள்.
When the disciples heard it, they were exceedingly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”
Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 ௨௭ அப்பொழுது, பேதுரு அவரைப் பார்த்து: இதோ, நாங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும்விட்டு, உம்மைப் பின்பற்றினோமே; எங்களுக்கு என்ன கிடைக்கும் என்றான்.
Then Peter answered, “Behold, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?”
28 ௨௮ அதற்கு இயேசு: மறுபிறப்பின் காலத்திலே மனிதகுமாரன் தம்முடைய மகிமையுள்ள சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கும்போது, என்னைப் பின்பற்றின நீங்களும், இஸ்ரவேலின் பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களையும் நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறவர்களாகப் பன்னிரண்டு சிங்காசனங்களின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்திருப்பீர்கள் என்று, உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 ௨௯ என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் வீட்டையாவது, சகோதரர்களையாவது, சகோதரிகளையாவது, தகப்பனையாவது, தாயையாவது, மனைவியையாவது, பிள்ளைகளையாவது, நிலங்களையாவது இழந்தவன் எவனோ, அவன் நூறுமடங்காகப் பெற்று, நித்தியஜீவனையும் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுவான்; (aiōnios g166)
Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
30 ௩0 ஆனாலும், முந்தினோர் அநேகர் பிந்தினோராகவும், பிந்தினோர் அநேகர் முந்தினோராகவும் இருப்பார்கள் என்றார்.
But many will be last who are first, and first who are last.
