மத்தேயு 10
1 ௧ அப்பொழுது, இயேசு தம்முடைய பன்னிரண்டு சீடர்களையும் தம்மிடத்தில் வரவழைத்து, அசுத்தஆவிகளைத் துரத்தவும், எல்லா வியாதிகளையும் எல்லா நோய்களையும் நீக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்தார்.
And when he had called his twelve disciples to him, he gave them power over evil spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and infirmity.
2 ௨ அந்தப் பன்னிரண்டு அப்போஸ்தலர்களுடைய பெயர்களாவன: முந்தினவன் பேதுரு என்னப்பட்ட சீமோன், அவன் சகோதரன் அந்திரேயா, செபெதேயுவின் குமாரன் யாக்கோபு, அவன் சகோதரன் யோவான்,
These are the names of the apostles (missionaries). First, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother; Jamesthe son of Zebedee, and John, his brother;
3 ௩ பிலிப்பு, பர்தொலொமேயு, தோமா, வரி வசூலிப்பவனாகிய மத்தேயு, அல்பேயுவின் குமாரன் யாக்கோபு, ததேயு என்னும் மறுபெயருள்ள லெபேயு,
Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew, the tax-gatherer; James, the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname is Thaddeus;
Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him.
5 ௫ இந்தப் பன்னிரண்டுபேரையும் இயேசு அனுப்பும்போது, அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டுச் சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்: நீங்கள் யூதரல்லாதவர்களுடைய நாடுகளுக்குப் போகாமலும், சமாரியருடைய பட்டணங்களில் பிரவேசிக்காமலும்,
These men, the Twelve, Jesus sent forth, after giving them the following instructions. "Do not go among the Gentiles, or enter any Samaritan town,
"but rather be on your way to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
"As you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
8 ௮ வியாதியுள்ளவர்களைச் சுகமாக்குங்கள், குஷ்டரோகிகளைச் சுத்தப்படுத்துங்கள், மரித்தோரை உயிரோடு எழுப்புங்கள், பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துங்கள்; இலவசமாகப் பெற்றீர்கள், இலவசமாகக் கொடுங்கள்.
"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
"Take no gold or silver or coppers in your purses;
10 ௧0 வழிக்காகப் பையையாவது, இரண்டு அங்கிகளையாவது, பாதணிகளையாவது, தடியையாவது எடுத்துவைக்கவேண்டாம்; வேலையாள் தன் ஆகாரத்திற்குத் தகுதியுள்ளவனாக இருக்கிறான்.
"not even a bag for the journey, or a change of clothes, or sandals, or even a stick; for the worker is worth his rations.
11 ௧௧ எந்தப் பட்டணத்திலாவது கிராமத்திலாவது நீங்கள் பிரவேசிக்கும்போது, அதிலே தகுதியானவன் யாரென்று விசாரித்து, நீங்கள் புறப்படும்வரைக்கும் அவனிடத்தில் தங்கியிருங்கள்.
"Into whatever city or town you enter, inquire for some worthy person there, and stay with him until you leave.
"When you enter the house, salute it;
13 ௧௩ அந்த வீடு தகுதியாக இருந்தால், நீங்கள் சொன்ன சமாதானம் அவர்கள்மேல் வரக்கடவது; தகுதியற்றவர்களாக இருந்தால், நீங்கள் சொன்ன சமாதானம் உங்களிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பக்கடவது.
"and if the house is worthy let your blessing sit upon it; but if it be unworthy, let your blessing return to you.
14 ௧௪ எவனாவது உங்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமலும், உங்களுடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாமலும்போனால், அந்த வீட்டையாவது பட்டணத்தையாவதுவிட்டுப் புறப்படும்போது, உங்களுடைய கால்களில் படிந்த தூசியை உதறிப்போடுங்கள்.
"And whoever will not receive you or listen to your words, as you go out from that house or that city, shake off the very dust from your feet.
15 ௧௫ நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளிலே அந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்கு சம்பவிப்பதைவிட சோதோம் கொமோரா பட்டணங்களுக்கு சம்பவிப்பது இலகுவாக இருக்கும் என்று உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
"I tell you solemnly it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the Day of Judgment than for that town.
16 ௧௬ ஆடுகளை ஓநாய்களுக்குள்ளே அனுப்புகிறதுபோல, இதோ, நான் உங்களை அனுப்புகிறேன்; ஆகவே, பாம்புகளைப்போல வினாவுள்ளவர்களும் புறாக்களைப்போல வஞ்சகமற்றவர்களுமாக இருங்கள்.
"Behold, it is I who am sending you forth like sheep among wolves. Be then as serpents and as guileless as doves.
17 ௧௭ மனிதர்களைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்; அவர்கள் உங்களை ஆலோசனைச் சங்கங்களுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, தங்களுடைய ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் உங்களைச் சாட்டையினால் அடிப்பார்கள்.
"But beware of men! For they will give you up to the Sanhedrin, and flog you in their synagogues.
18 ௧௮ அவர்களுக்கும் யூதரல்லாதவர்களுக்கும் சாட்சியாக என்னிமித்தம் அதிபதிகளுக்கு முன்பாகவும், ராஜாக்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் கொண்டுபோகப்படுவீர்கள்.
"And you will be taken before governors and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
19 ௧௯ அவர்கள் உங்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்போது: எப்படிப் பேசுவோம் என்றும், என்னத்தைப் பேசுவோம் என்றும் கவலைப்படாமலிருங்கள்; நீங்கள் பேசவேண்டியது அந்தநேரத்தில் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.
"But whenever they apprehend you, do not be anxious about how you shall speak or what you shall say; for it will be given you in that very hour what to say.
"For it will not be you who is speaking, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
21 ௨௧ சகோதரன் தன் சகோதரனையும், தகப்பன் தன் பிள்ளையையும், மரணத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்கள்; பெற்றோருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பிள்ளைகள் எழும்பி அவர்களைக் கொலைசெய்ய ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்கள்.
"And brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against their parents and put them to death.
22 ௨௨ என் நாமத்தினாலே நீங்கள் எல்லோராலும் பகைக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; இறுதிவரைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பவனே இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான்.
"You will be hated by all men because of my name; and he who endures to the end shall be saved.
23 ௨௩ ஒரு பட்டணத்தில் உங்களைத் துன்பப்படுத்தினால் வேறொரு பட்டணத்திற்கு ஓடிப்போங்கள்; மனிதகுமாரன் வருவதற்குள்ளாக நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலருடைய பட்டணங்களையெல்லாம் சுற்றிவரமுடியாதென்று, உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
"But when they persecute you in one city, flee to the next. In solemn truth I tell you that you shall not have completed the cities of Israel, before the Son of man comes.
"A pupil is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his masters.
25 ௨௫ சீடன் தன் போதகனைப்போலவும், வேலைக்காரன் தன் எஜமானைப்போலவும் இருப்பதுபோதும். வீட்டு எஜமானையே பெயெல்செபூல் என்று சொன்னார்களென்றால், அவன் குடும்பத்தினரை இன்னும் அதிகமாகச் சொல்வது அதிக நிச்சயமல்லவா?
"It is enough for the pupil to fare like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more, the members of his household.
26 ௨௬ அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாமலிருங்கள்; வெளியாக்கப்படாத மறைபொருளும் இல்லை; அறியப்படாத இரகசியமும் இல்லை.
"So do not fear them; for there is nothing concealed which shall not be revealed, nor anything secret which shall not become known.
27 ௨௭ நான் உங்களுக்கு இருளிலே சொல்லுகிறதை நீங்கள் வெளிச்சத்திலே சொல்லுங்கள்; காதிலே கேட்கிறதை நீங்கள் வீடுகளின்மேல் பிரசித்தம்பண்ணுங்கள்.
"What I am telling you is in the darkness, do you speak in the light; and what is whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops.
28 ௨௮ ஆத்துமாவைக் கொல்ல வல்லவர்களாக இல்லாமல், சரீரத்தைமட்டும் கொல்லுகிறவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் பயப்படவேண்டாம்; ஆத்துமாவையும் சரீரத்தையும் நரகத்திலே அழிக்க வல்லவருக்கே பயப்படுங்கள். (Geenna g1067)
"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; but fear rather him who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
29 ௨௯ ஒரு காசுக்கு இரண்டு அடைக்கலான் குருவிகளை விற்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? ஆனாலும் உங்களுடைய பிதாவின் விருப்பமில்லாமல், அவைகளில் ஒன்றாவது தரையிலே விழாது.
"Are not two sparrows sold for a half-penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your father.
"The very hairs on your head are all numbered.
31 ௩௧ ஆதலால், பயப்படாமலிருங்கள்; அநேகம் அடைக்கலான் குருவிகளைவிட நீங்கள் விசேஷித்தவர்களாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்.
"Cease to be afraid! You are of greater value than many sparrows.
32 ௩௨ மனிதர்கள் முன்பாக என்னை அறிக்கைசெய்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவனை நானும் பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற என் பிதாவின் முன்பாக அறிக்கைசெய்வேன்.
"Every one, then, who will confess me before men, I also will confess before my Father who is in heaven.
33 ௩௩ மனிதர்கள் முன்பாக என்னை மறுதலிக்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவனை நானும் பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற என் பிதாவின் முன்பாக மறுதலிப்பேன்.
"But whoever disowns me before men, I also will disown before my Father who is in heaven.
34 ௩௪ பூமியின்மேல் சமாதானத்தை அனுப்பவந்தேன் என்று எண்ணாதிருங்கள்; சமாதானத்தையல்ல, பிரிவினையையே அனுப்பவந்தேன்.
"Do not suppose that I am come to bring peace on the earth; I am come not to bring peace, but a sword.
35 ௩௫ எப்படியென்றால், மகனுக்கும் தகப்பனுக்கும், மகளுக்கும் தாய்க்கும், மருமகளுக்கும் மாமியாருக்கும் பிரிவினையுண்டாக்க வந்தேன்.
"For I came to set "a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
"and a man’s own household will be his enemies.
37 ௩௭ தகப்பனையாவது தாயையாவது என்னைவிட அதிகமாக நேசிக்கிறவன் எனக்கு தகுதியானவன் இல்லை; மகனையாவது மகளையாவது என்னைவிட அதிகமாக நேசிக்கிறவன் எனக்கு தகுதியானவன் இல்லை.
"He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;
"and he who does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.
39 ௩௯ தன் ஜீவனைக் காக்கிறவன் அதை இழந்துபோவான்; என்னிமித்தம் தன் ஜீவனை இழந்துபோகிறவன் அதைக் காப்பான்.
"He who has saved his life shall lose it; and he who has lost his life for my sake shall find it.
40 ௪0 உங்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான்; என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் என்னை அனுப்பினவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான்.
"Whoever receives you is receiving me, and he who receives me is receiving Him who sent me.
41 ௪௧ தீர்க்கதரிசி என்னும் பெயரினிமித்தம் தீர்க்கதரிசியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் தீர்க்கதரிசிக்குரிய பலனை அடைவான்; நீதிமான் என்னும் பெயரினிமித்தம் நீதிமானை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் நீதிமானுக்குரிய பலனை அடைவான்.
"Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet, shall receive a prophet’s reward; and whoever receives a righteous man, shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
42 ௪௨ சீடன் என்னும் பெயரினிமித்தம் இந்தச் சிறியவர்களில் ஒருவனுக்கு ஒரு கிண்ணம் தண்ணீர்மட்டும் குடிக்கக் கொடுக்கிறவனும் தன் பலனைப் பெறாமல் போகமாட்டான் என்று, உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
"And whoever gives to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, because he is a disciple, I tell you in solemn truth, he shall not lose his reward.
