லூக்கா 6
1 ௧ பஸ்கா பண்டிகையின் இரண்டாம் நாளைக்குப் பின்வந்த முதலாம் ஓய்வுநாளிலே, இயேசு வயல்வெளியில் நடந்துபோகும்போது, அவருடைய சீடர்கள் கதிர்களைக் கொய்து, கைகளினால் நிமிட்டித்தின்றார்கள்.
Now it happened on a second-first Sabbath that He was passing through the grain fields, and His disciples began to pick and eat the heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands.
2 ௨ பரிசேயர்களில் சிலர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: ஓய்வுநாளில் செய்யக்கூடாததை நீங்கள் ஏன் செய்கிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
But some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why are you doing that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?”
3 ௩ இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு மறுமொழியாக: தாவீதும் அவனோடுகூட இருந்தவர்களும் பசியாக இருந்தபோது செய்ததை நீங்கள் வாசிக்கவில்லையா? அவன் தேவனுடைய வீட்டிற்கு சென்று, ஆசாரியர்கள்தவிர வேறுயாரும் சாப்பிடக்கூடாத தேவசமூகத்தின் அப்பங்களைக் கேட்டு வாங்கி,
So in answer to them Jesus said: “Have you not even read this, what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:
how he went into the house of God, took and ate the showbread, and even gave it to those with him—that which only the priests are allowed to eat?”
Then He said to them, “The Son of the Man is Lord even of the Sabbath!”
6 ௬ வேறொரு ஓய்வுநாளிலே, அவர் ஜெப ஆலயத்திற்குச் சென்று உபதேசித்தார். அங்கே வலது கை சூம்பின ஒரு மனிதன் இருந்தான்.
Now it happened on a different Sabbath that He entered the synagogue and began to teach. Well there was a man there whose right hand was shriveled;
7 ௭ அப்பொழுது வேதபண்டிதர்களும் பரிசேயர்களும் அவரிடத்தில் குற்றம் கண்டுபிடிக்கும்படி, ஓய்வுநாளில் சுகமாக்குவாரோ என்று அவரை கவனித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
so the scribes and the Pharisees started watching, to see if He would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against Him.
8 ௮ அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகளை அவர் அறிந்து, சூம்பின கையையுடைய மனிதனை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்து நடுவில் நில் என்றார். அவன் எழுந்து நின்றான்.
But He knew their thoughts and said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Get up and stand in the center.” So he got up and stood.
9 ௯ அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: நான் உங்களிடம் ஒன்று கேட்கிறேன்; ஓய்வுநாட்களில் நன்மை செய்வதோ, தீமை செய்வதோ? அல்லது ஜீவனைக் காப்பதோ, அழிப்பதோ? எது நியாயம் என்று கேட்டு,
Then Jesus said to them: “I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?”
10 ௧0 அவர்களெல்லோரையும் சுற்றிப்பார்த்து, அந்த மனிதனை நோக்கி: உன் கையை நீட்டு என்றார். அப்படியே அவன் தன் கையை நீட்டினான், உடனே அவன் கை மறுகையைப்போல குணமானது.
And when He had looked around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” So he did that, and his hand was restored, as sound as the other.
But they were filled with rage, and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.
12 ௧௨ அந்த நாட்களிலே, அவர் ஜெபம்பண்ணும்படி ஒரு மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, இரவு முழுவதும் தேவனை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்.
Now it happened in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and He continued all night in prayer to God.
13 ௧௩ பொழுதுவிடிந்தபோது, அவர் தம்முடைய சீடர்களை வரவழைத்து, அவர்களில் பன்னிரண்டுபேரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு அப்போஸ்தலர்கள் என்று பெயரிட்டார்.
When it was day He called His disciples, and from them He chose twelve, whom He also named apostles:
14 ௧௪ அவர்கள் யாரென்றால், பேதுரு என்று தாம் பெயரிட்ட சீமோன், அவனுடைய சகோதரனாகிய அந்திரேயா, யாக்கோபு, யோவான், பிலிப்பு, பர்தொலொமேயு,
Simon (whom He also named Peter) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Phillip and Bartholomew,
Matthew and Thomas, James (the son of Alphaeus) and Simon (the one called ‘Zealot’),
Judas of James and Judas Iscariot (who also became ‘traitor’).
17 ௧௭ பின்பு அவர் அவர்களுடன் இறங்கி, சமமான ஒரு இடத்திலே நின்றார். அங்கே அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அநேகரும், அவருடைய உபதேசத்தைக் கேட்பதற்காகவும், தங்களுடைய வியாதிகளிலிருந்து குணமாக்கப்படுவதற்காகவும், யூதேயா மற்றும் எருசலேம் நகரங்களில் இருந்தும், தீரு சீதோன் பட்டணங்கள் இருக்கிற கடலோரத்தில் இருந்தும் அநேக மக்கள் வந்திருந்தார்கள்.
Then He came down with them and stood on a level place, with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, also from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases,
as well as those who were being harassed by unclean spirits—and they were being healed!
19 ௧௯ அவரிடத்திலிருந்து வல்லமை புறப்பட்டு எல்லோரையும் குணமாக்கினபடியினாலே, மக்கள் எல்லோரும் அவரைத் தொடுவதற்காக முயற்சிசெய்தார்கள்.
So the whole crowd kept trying to touch Him, because power was going out from Him and was healing all.
20 ௨0 அப்பொழுது அவர் தம்முடைய சீடர்களை நோக்கிப்பார்த்து: “தரித்திரர்களாகிய நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; தேவனுடைய இராஜ்யம் உங்களுடையது.
Then He raised His eyes toward His disciples and said: “Blessed are you poor, because the Kingdom of God is yours.
21 ௨௧ இப்பொழுது பசியாக இருக்கிற நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; திருப்தியடைவீர்கள். இப்பொழுது அழுகிற நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; இனி சிரிப்பீர்கள்.
Blessed are you who hunger now, because you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, because you will laugh.
22 ௨௨ மனிதகுமாரனைப் பின்பற்றுவதால் மக்கள் உங்களைப் பகைத்து, உங்களை நிராகரித்து, உங்களை அவமதித்து, உங்களுடைய பெயரைப் பொல்லாததென்று சொல்லி உங்களைத் தள்ளிவிடும்போது நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்களாக இருப்பீர்கள்.
Blessed are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and heap insults on you and trash your name as ‘malignant’, for the Son of the Man's sake.
23 ௨௩ “அந்த நாளிலே நீங்கள் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு மகிழ்ந்திருங்கள்; பரலோகத்தில் உங்களுடைய பலன் அதிகமாக இருக்கும்; அவர்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும் அப்படித்தான் செய்தார்கள்.
Rejoice in that day and skip about! Because your reward really is great in Heaven; for that is how their fathers treated the prophets.
“But woe to you who are rich! because you have already received your comfort.
25 ௨௫ திருப்தியுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கிற உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ; நீங்கள் பசியாக இருப்பீர்கள். இப்பொழுது சிரிக்கிற உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ; இனித் துக்கப்பட்டு அழுவீர்கள்.
Woe to you who are full! because you will go hungry. Woe to you who are presently laughing! because you will mourn and weep.
26 ௨௬ எல்லா மனிதர்களும் உங்களைக்குறித்துப் புகழ்ச்சியாகப் பேசும்போது உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ; அவர்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்கள் கள்ளத்தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக்குறித்தும் அப்படித்தான் பேசினார்கள்.
Woe, when all men speak well of you; for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets!
27 ௨௭ “என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்கிற உங்களுக்கு நான் சொல்லுகிறேன்: உங்களுடைய பகைவர்களை நேசியுங்கள்; உங்களைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்யுங்கள்.
“Further, to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you;
bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
29 ௨௯ உன்னை ஒரு கன்னத்தில் அறைகிறவனுக்கு மறு கன்னத்தையும் காட்டு; உன் மேலாடையை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் உன் ஆடையையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளத் தடைபண்ணாதே.
To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold the tunic as well.
30 ௩0 உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிற எவனுக்கும் கொடு; உன்னுடையதை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவனிடத்தில் அதைத் திரும்பக் கேட்காதே.
Give to everyone who asks of you; and from him who takes away your things, do not demand them back.
31 ௩௧ மனிதர்கள் உங்களுக்கு எப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறீர்களோ, அப்படியே நீங்களும் அவர்களுக்குச் செய்யுங்கள்.
Yes, like you want people to treat you, that is just how you must treat them.
32 ௩௨ உங்களை நேசிக்கிறவர்களையே நீங்களும் நேசித்தால், உங்களுக்குப் பலன் என்ன? பாவிகளும் தங்களை நேசிக்கிறவர்களை நேசிக்கிறார்களே.
Also, if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ love those who love them.
33 ௩௩ உங்களுக்கு நன்மைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்கே நீங்களும் நன்மைசெய்தால், உங்களுக்குப் பலன் என்ன? பாவிகளும் அப்படிச் செய்கிறார்களே.
And if you do good to those doing good to you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ do the same.
34 ௩௪ திரும்பக் கொடுப்பார்கள் என்று நம்பி நீங்கள் கடன்கொடுத்தால் உங்களுக்குப் பலன் என்ன? திரும்பத் தங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும் என்று பாவிகளும் பாவிகளுக்குக் கடன் கொடுக்கிறார்களே.
And if you lend to those from whom you expect to get it back, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ lend to ‘sinners’, to receive an equal value back.
35 ௩௫ உங்களுடைய பகைவர்களை நேசியுங்கள், நன்மை செய்யுங்கள், பிரதிபலன் எதிர்பார்க்காமல் கடன் கொடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது உங்களுடைய பலன் அதிகமாக இருக்கும், உன்னதமான தேவனுக்கு நீங்கள் பிள்ளைகளாக இருப்பீர்கள்; அவர் நன்றியறியாதவர்களுக்கும் துரோகிகளுக்கும் நன்மை செய்கிறாரே.
“So, love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; because He is kind toward the ungrateful and wicked.
So be compassionate, even as your Father is compassionate.
37 ௩௭ மற்றவர்களைக் குற்றவாளிகள் என்று சொல்லாதிருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நீங்களும் குற்றவாளிகள் என்று சொல்லப்படாமலிருப்பீர்கள்; மற்றவர்களை தண்டனைக்குள்ளாகும்படி தீர்க்காதிருங்கள், அப்பொழுது நீங்களும் தண்டனைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படாமலிருப்பீர்கள்; விடுதலைபண்ணுங்கள், அப்பொழுது நீங்களும் விடுதலைபண்ணப்படுவீர்கள்.
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
38 ௩௮ கொடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கும் கொடுக்கப்படும்; அமுக்கிக் குலுக்கிச் சரிந்து விழும்படி நன்றாக அளந்து, உங்களுடைய மடியிலே போடுவார்கள்; நீங்கள் எந்த அளவினால் அளக்கிறீர்களோ அந்த அளவினால் உங்களுக்கும் அளக்கப்படும் என்றார்.
Give and it will be given to you: a good measure—pressed down and shaken together and running over—will they deposit in your lap. Because with the same measure that you use it will be measured back to you.”
39 ௩௯ பின்னும் அவர் ஒரு உவமையை அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்: பார்வையற்றவனுக்கு பார்வையற்றவன் வழிகாட்ட முடியுமோ? இருவரும் பள்ளத்தில் விழுவார்கள் அல்லவா?
Then He told them a parable: “Can a blind man guide a blind man? Will they not both fall into a ditch?
40 ௪0 சீடன் தன் குருவிற்கு மேலானவன் இல்லை, பயிற்சியில் முழுமையாக தேறினவன் தன் குருவைப்போல இருப்பான்.
A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.
41 ௪௧ நீ உன் கண்ணில் இருக்கிற மரத்தைப் பார்க்காமல், உன் சகோதரன் கண்ணில் இருக்கிற துரும்பைப் பார்க்கிறது என்ன?
Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank that is in your own eye?
42 ௪௨ அல்லது நீ உன் கண்ணில் இருக்கிற மரத்தைப் பார்க்காமல், உன் சகோதரனை நோக்கி: சகோதரனே, நான் உன் கண்ணில் இருக்கிற துரும்பை எடுத்துப்போடுகிறேன் என்று நீ சொல்வது எப்படி? மாயக்காரனே! முன்பு உன் கண்ணில் இருக்கிற மரத்தை எடுத்துப்போடு, பின்பு உன் சகோதரன் கண்ணில் இருக்கிற துரும்பை எடுத்துப்போடும் வழியைப் பார்ப்பாய்.
Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother's eye.
“Now no good tree produces rotten fruit, nor does a rotten tree produce good fruit
44 ௪௪ ஒவ்வொரு மரமும் அதின் கனியினால் அறியப்படும்; முட்செடிகளில் அத்திப்பழங்களைப் பறிக்கிறதுமில்லை, நெருஞ்சிச்செடியில் திராட்சைப்பழங்களைப் பறிக்கிறதுமில்லை.
—each tree is known by its own fruit: people do not gather figs from thorn bushes, nor do they pick a bunch of grapes from a bramble.
45 ௪௫ நல்ல மனிதன் தன் இருதயமாகிய நல்ல பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து நல்லதை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறான்; பொல்லாத மனிதன் தன் இருதயமாகிய பொல்லாத பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து பொல்லாததை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறான்; இருதயத்தின் நிறைவினால் அவனவனுடைய வாய் பேசும்.
The good man produces the good out of the good treasure in his heart, and the malignant man produces the malignant out of the malignant treasure in his heart; because his mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart.
46 ௪௬ என்னை ஆண்டவரே! ஆண்டவரே! என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லியும், நான் சொல்லுகிறபடி நீங்கள் செய்யாமல் போகிறதென்ன?
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord’, and not do what I say?
47 ௪௭ என்னிடத்தில் வந்து, என் வார்த்தைகளைக்கேட்டு, அதின்படி செய்கிறவன் யாருக்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கிறான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுவேன்.
Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them—I will show you who he is like:
48 ௪௮ ஆழமாகத் தோண்டி, கற்பாறையின்மேல் அஸ்திபாரம்போட்டு, வீடுகட்டுகிற மனிதனுக்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கிறான்; பெருவெள்ளம் வந்து, நீரோட்டம் அந்த வீட்டின்மேல் மோதியும், அதை அசைக்க முடியாமல்போனது; ஏனென்றால், அது கன்மலையின்மேல் அஸ்திபாரம் போடப்பட்டிருந்தது.
he is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on the bedrock. When a flood occurred, the torrent burst upon that house but could not shake it, because it was founded on the bedrock.
49 ௪௯ என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டும் அதின்படி செய்யாதவன் எவனோ, அவன் அஸ்திபாரமில்லாமல் மண்ணின்மேல் வீடுகட்டினவனுக்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கிறான்; நீரோட்டம் அந்த வீட்டின்மேல் மோதினவுடனே அது விழுந்து முழுவதும் அழிந்துபோனது” என்றார்.
But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built his house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
