3 ௩ இங்கே யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவிலே ஆசாரியர்களின் கால்கள் நிலையாக நின்ற இடத்திலே பன்னிரண்டு கற்களை எடுத்து, அவைகளை உங்களோடு அக்கரைக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், நீங்கள் இன்று இரவில் தங்கும் இடத்திலே அவைகளை வையுங்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுங்கள் என்றார்.

5 ௫ அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவில் உங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகக் கடந்துபோய், உங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒரு அடையாளமாக இருக்கும்படிக்கு, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுடைய கோத்திரங்களின் எண்ணிக்கைக்குச் சமமாக, உங்களில் ஒவ்வொருவனும் ஒவ்வொரு கல்லைத் தன் தோளின்மேல் எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோங்கள்.

8 ௮ யோசுவா கட்டளையிட்டபடி இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் செய்து, யெகோவா யோசுவாவிடம் சொன்னபடியே, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுடைய கோத்திரங்களின் எண்ணிக்கைக்குச் சமமாகப் பன்னிரண்டு கற்களை யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவில் எடுத்து, அவைகளைத் தங்களோடு அக்கரைக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவர்கள் தங்கின இடத்திலே வைத்தார்கள்.

18 ௧௮ அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமக்கிற ஆசாரியர்கள் யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவிலிருந்து ஏறி, அவர்கள் உள்ளங்கால்கள் கரையில் ஊன்றினபோது, யோர்தானின் தண்ணீர்கள் தங்களிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பி, முன்புபோல அதின் கரையெங்கும் புரண்டோடியது.
