யோசுவா 11
1 ௧ ஆத்சோரின் ராஜாவாகிய யாபீன் அதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவன் மாதோனின் ராஜாவாகிய யோபாபிடமும், சிம்ரோனின் ராஜாவிடமும், அக்சாபின் ராஜாவிடமும்,
And it comes to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor hears, that he sends to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
2 ௨ வடக்கே இருக்கிற மலைகளிலும் கின்னரேத்திற்குத் தெற்கே இருக்கிற நாட்டுப்புறத்திலும் சமபூமியிலும் மேற்கு எல்லையாகிய தோரிலும் இருக்கிற ராஜாக்களிடமும்,
and to the kings who [are] on the north in the hill-country, and in the plain south of Chinneroth, and in the low country, and in the elevations of Dor, on the west,
3 ௩ கிழக்கேயும், மேற்கேயும் இருக்கிற கானானியர்களிடமும், மலைகளில் இருக்கிற எமோரியர்கள், ஏத்தியர்கள், பெரிசியர்கள், எபூசியர்களிடமும், எர்மோன் மலையின் அடியிலே மிஸ்பா தேசத்தில் இருக்கிற ஏவியர்களிடமும் ஆள் அனுப்பினான்.
[to] the Canaanite on the east, and on the west, and the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the hill-country, and the Hivite under Hermon, in the land of Mizpeh—
4 ௪ அவர்கள் கடற்கரை மணலைப்போல ஏராளமான மக்களாகிய தங்களுடைய எல்லா சேனைகளோடும், ஏராளமான குதிரைகளோடும் இரதங்களோடும் புறப்பட்டார்கள்.
and they go out, they and all their camps with them, a people numerous, as the sand which [is] on the seashore for multitude, and [with] very many horse and charioteer;
5 ௫ இந்த ராஜாக்கள் எல்லோரும் கூடி, இஸ்ரவேலர்களோடு யுத்தம்செய்ய வந்து, மேரோம் என்கிற ஏரியின் அருகில் ஏகமாக முகாமிட்டார்கள்.
and all these kings are met together, and they come and encamp together at the waters of Merom, to fight with Israel.
6 ௬ அப்பொழுது யெகோவா யோசுவாவை நோக்கி: அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாதே; நாளை இந்த நேரத்திலே நான் அவர்களையெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முன்பாக வெட்டப்பட்டவர்களாக ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; நீ அவர்களுடைய குதிரைகளின் குதிகால் நரம்புகளை அறுத்து, அவர்கள் இரதங்களை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரிப்பாய் என்றார்.
And YHWH says to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of their presence, for about this time tomorrow I am giving all of them slain before Israel; hamstring their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.”
7 ௭ யோசுவாவும், அவனோடு யுத்த மக்கள் அனைவரும், திடீரென்று மேரோம் ஏரியின் அருகே இருக்கிற எதிரிகளிடம் வந்து, அவர்களைத் தாக்கினார்கள்.
And Joshua comes, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom, and they suddenly fall on them;
8 ௮ யெகோவா அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேலின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்களை முறியடித்து, பெரிய சீதோன்வரைக்கும் மிஸ்ரபோத்மாயீம்வரைக்கும், கிழக்கே இருக்கிற மிஸ்பே பள்ளத்தாக்குவரைக்கும் துரத்தி, அவர்களில் ஒருவரும் மீதியில்லாதபடி, அவர்களை வெட்டிப்போட்டார்கள்.
and YHWH gives them into the hand of Israel, and they strike them and pursue them to the great Sidon, and to Misrephoth-Maim, and to the Valley of Mizpeh eastward, and they strike them, until he has not left a remnant to them;
9 ௯ யோசுவா யெகோவா தனக்குச் சொன்னபடி அவர்களுக்குச் செய்து, அவர்களுடைய குதிரைகளின் குதிகால் நரம்புகளை அறுத்து, அவர்களுடைய இரதங்களை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்தான்.
and Joshua does to them as YHWH commanded to him; he has hamstrung their horses, and burned their chariots with fire.
10 ௧0 அக்காலத்திலே யோசுவா திரும்பி, ஆத்சோரைப் பிடித்து, அதின் ராஜாவைப் பட்டயத்தினால் வெட்டிப்போட்டான்; ஆத்சோர் முன்னே அந்த ராஜ்யங்களுக்கெல்லாம் தலைமையான பட்டணமாக இருந்தது.
And Joshua turns back at that time, and captures Hazor, and he has struck its king by the sword; for Hazor [was] formerly head of all these kingdoms;
11 ௧௧ அதில் இருந்த உயிரினங்களையெல்லாம் பட்டயத்தினால் வெட்டி, அழித்துப்போட்டான்; சுவாசமுள்ளது ஒன்றும் மீதியானதில்லை; ஆத்சோரையோ அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்தான்.
and they strike every person who [is] in it by the mouth of the sword; he has devoted—he has not left anyone breathing, and he has burned Hazor with fire;
12 ௧௨ அந்த ராஜாக்களுடைய எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களையும் அவைகளுடைய எல்லா ராஜாக்களையும் யோசுவா பிடித்து, பட்டயத்தினால் வெட்டி, யெகோவாவுடைய ஊழியக்காரனாகிய மோசே கட்டளையிட்டபடி, அவர்களை அழித்துப்போட்டான்.
and all the cities of these kings, and all their kings, Joshua has captured, and he strikes them by the mouth of the sword; he devoted them, as Moses, servant of YHWH, commanded.
13 ௧௩ ஆனாலும் தங்களுடைய மேட்டின்மேல் இருந்த பட்டணங்களையெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் சுட்டெரித்துப்போடாமல் வைத்தார்கள்; ஆத்சோரைமாத்திரம் யோசுவா சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டான்.
Only, all the cities which are standing by their hill, Israel has not burned them—except Joshua has burned Hazor, only;
14 ௧௪ அந்தப் பட்டணங்களிலுள்ள மிருகஜீவன்களையும் மற்றக் கொள்ளைப்பொருட்களையும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் தங்களுக்கென்று எடுத்துக்கொண்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் எல்லா மனிதர்களையும் அழித்துப்போடும்வரைக்கும் அவர்களைப் பட்டயத்தினால் வெட்டிப்போட்டார்கள்; சுவாசமுள்ள ஒன்றையும் அவர்கள் மீதியாக வைக்கவில்லை.
and all the spoil of these cities, and the livestock, the sons of Israel have spoiled for themselves; only, they have struck every man by the mouth of the sword, until their destroying them; they have not left anyone breathing.
15 ௧௫ யெகோவா தமது ஊழியக்காரனாகிய மோசேக்கு எப்படிக் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தாரோ, அப்படியே மோசே யோசுவாவுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தான்; அப்படியே யோசுவா செய்தான்; அவன், யெகோவா மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதில் ஒன்றையும் செய்யாமல் விடவில்லை.
As YHWH commanded His servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua has done; he has not turned aside a thing of all that YHWH commanded Moses.
16 ௧௬ இந்த விதமாக யோசுவா சேயீருக்கு ஏறிப்போகிற ஆலாக் மலைதுவங்கி லீபனோனின் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் எர்மோன் மலையடியில் இருக்கிற பாகால்காத் வரையுள்ள அந்த முழு தேசமாகிய மலைகளையும், தென்தேசம் எல்லாவற்றையும், கோசேன் தேசத்தையும் சமனான பூமியையும், நாட்டுப்புறத்தையும், இஸ்ரவேலின் மலைகளையும் அதின் சமபூமியையும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு,
And Joshua takes all this land: the hill-country, and all the south, and all the land of Goshen, and the low country, and the plain, even the hill-country of Israel and its low lands,
from the Mount of Halak, which is going up [to] Seir, and to Ba‘al-Gad, in the Valley of Lebanon, under Mount Hermon; and he has captured all their kings, and he strikes them, and puts them to death.
Joshua has made war with all these kings [for] many days;
19 ௧௯ கிபியோனின் குடிகளாகிய ஏவியர்களைத்தவிர, ஒரு பட்டணமும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களோடு சமாதானம் செய்யவில்லை; மற்ற எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களையும் யுத்தம்செய்து பிடித்தார்கள்.
there has not been a city which made peace with the sons of Israel except the Hivite, inhabitants of Gibeon; they have taken the whole in battle;
20 ௨0 யுத்தம்செய்ய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு எதிராக வரும்படிக்கு, அவர்களுடைய இருதயம் கடினமானதும், இப்படியே அவர்கள்மேல் இரக்கம் உண்டாகாமல், யெகோவா மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி, அவர்களை அழித்துப்போட்டதும் யெகோவாவால் வந்த காரியமாக இருந்தது.
for it has been from YHWH to strengthen their heart, to meet in battle with Israel, in order to devote them, so that they have no grace, but in order to destroy them, as YHWH commanded Moses.
21 ௨௧ அக்காலத்திலே யோசுவா போய், மலைத்தேசமாகிய எபிரோனிலும் தெபீரிலும் ஆனாபிலும் யூதாவின் எல்லா மலைகளிலும் இருந்த ஏனாக்கியர்களை அவர்களுடைய பட்டணங்களோடு சேர்த்து அழித்தான்.
And Joshua comes at that time, and cuts off the Anakim from the hill-country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill-country of Judah, and from all the hill-country of Israel; Joshua has devoted them with their cities.
22 ௨௨ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் தேசத்தில் ஏனாக்கியர்கள் ஒருவரும் மீதியாக வைக்கப்படவில்லை; காசாவிலும் காத்திலும் அஸ்தோத்திலும்மட்டும் சிலர் மீதியாக இருந்தார்கள்.
There has not been Anakim left in the land of the sons of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, were they left.
23 ௨௩ அப்படியே யோசுவா, யெகோவா மோசேயிடம் சொன்னபடியெல்லாம் முழு தேசத்தையும் பிடித்து, அதை இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு, அவர்களின் கோத்திரங்களுடைய பங்குகளின்படியே, சொந்தமாகக் கொடுத்தான்; யுத்தம் ஓய்ந்ததினால் தேசம் அமைதலாக இருந்தது.
And Joshua takes the whole of the land, according to all that YHWH has spoken to Moses, and Joshua gives it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions, by their tribes; and the land has rest from war.
