யோவான் 3
Now there was a man among the Pharisees whose name was Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
2 ௨ அவன் இரவு நேரத்தில் இயேசுவினிடம் வந்து: ரபீ, நீர் தேவனிடத்தில் இருந்து வந்த போதகர் என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம், ஏனென்றால், ஒருவனும் தன்னுடனே தேவன் இல்லாவிட்டால் நீர் செய்கிற இப்படிப்பட்ட அற்புதங்களைச் செய்யமாட்டான் என்றான்.
The same went to Jesus at night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that you have come as a teacher from God, because no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”
3 ௩ இயேசு அவனுக்கு மறுமொழியாக: ஒருவன் மறுபடியும் பிறக்காவிட்டால் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைப் பார்க்கமாட்டான் என்று உண்மையாகவே உண்மையாகவே உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly I say to you, unless someone is begotten from Above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.”
4 ௪ அதற்கு நிக்கொதேமு: ஒருவன் வயதானபின்பு எப்படிப் பிறப்பான்? அவன் தன் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் இரண்டாம்முறை நுழைந்து பிறக்கக்கூடுமோ என்றான்.
Nicodemus says to Him: “How can a man be begotten, being old? He can't enter his mother's womb a second time and be born, can he?”
5 ௫ இயேசு மறுமொழியாக: ஒருவன் தண்ணீரினாலும் ஆவியினாலும் பிறக்காவிட்டால் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கமாட்டான் என்று உண்மையாகவே உண்மையாகவே உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
Jesus answered: “Most assuredly I say to you, unless someone is begotten by water and Spirit he is not able to enter the kingdom of God.
That which has been begotten by the flesh is flesh, and that which has been begotten by the Spirit is spirit.
Do not be perplexed that I said to you, ‘You (pl) need to be begotten from Above.’
8 ௮ காற்றானது தனக்கு விருப்பமான இடத்திலே வீசுகிறது, அதின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்கிறாய், ஆனாலும் அது இந்த இடத்திலிருந்து வருகிறது என்றும், இந்த இடத்திற்குப் போகிறது என்றும் உனக்குத் தெரியாது; ஆவியினால் பிறந்தவன் எவனோ அவனும் அப்படியே இருக்கிறான் என்றார்.
The wind blows where it wishes, and you (sg) hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who has been begotten by the Spirit.”
Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”
Jesus answered and said to Him: “You are the teacher of Israel, yet you do not understand these things?
11 ௧௧ உண்மையாகவே உண்மையாகவே நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நாங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறதைச் சொல்லி, நாங்கள் பார்த்ததைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சி கொடுக்கிறோம்; நீங்களோ எங்களுடைய சாட்சியை ஏற்றுகொள்ளுகிறது இல்லை.
Most assuredly I say to you, we speak what we know and testify to what we have seen, but you (pl) do not receive our testimony.
12 ௧௨ பூமிக்கடுத்த காரியங்களை நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியும் நீங்கள் விசுவாசிக்கவில்லையே, பரலோக காரியங்களை உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னால் எப்படி விசுவாசிப்பீர்கள்?
If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I should tell you the heavenly?
13 ௧௩ பரலோகத்தில் இருந்து இறங்கினவரும் பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிறவருமான மனிதகுமாரனே அல்லாமல் பரலோகத்திற்கு ஏறினவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லை.
No one has gone up into Heaven except the One who came down out of Heaven —the Son of the Man, who is in Heaven.
Also, just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, just so the Son of the Man must be lifted up,
15 ௧௫ தன்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவன் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் நித்தியஜீவனை பெறும்படிக்கு, உயர்த்தப்பட வேண்டும். (aiōnios g166)
so that everyone who believes into Him should not be wasted, but should have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
16 ௧௬ தேவன், தம்முடைய ஒரேபேறான குமாரனை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவன் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் நித்தியஜீவனை பெறும்படிக்கு, அவரைக் கொடுத்து, இவ்வளவாய் உலகத்தில் அன்பு செலுத்தினார். (aiōnios g166)
Because God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes into Him should not be wasted, but should have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
17 ௧௭ உலகத்தை தண்டனைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கும்படி தேவன் தம்முடைய குமாரனை உலகத்தில் அனுப்பாமல், அவராலே உலகம் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவதற்காகவே அவரை அனுப்பினார்.
For God did not send His Son into the world in order to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
18 ௧௮ அவரை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் தண்டனைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படமாட்டான்; விசுவாசிக்காதவனோ, தேவனுடைய ஒரேபேறான குமாரனுடைய நாமத்தில் விசுவாசம் உள்ளவனாக இல்லாதபடியினால், அவன் தண்டனைத்தீர்ப்புக்கு உட்பட்டிருக்கிறான்.
The one believing into Him is not condemned, but the one not believing has already been condemned, because he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 ௧௯ ஒளியானது உலகத்திலே வந்திருந்தும் மனிதர்களுடைய செயல்கள் தீமையானவைகளாக இருக்கிறபடியினால் அவர்கள் ஒளியைவிட இருளை விரும்புகிறதே அந்த தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்புக்குக் காரணமாக இருக்கிறது.
“Now this is the basis for the condemning, that the Light has come into the world, but the people loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were malignant.
20 ௨0 தீங்கு செய்கிற எவனும் ஒளியைப் பகைக்கிறான், தன் செய்கைகள் சுட்டி காட்டப்படாதபடிக்கு, ஒளியினிடத்தில் வராதிருக்கிறான்.
For whoever practices evil hates the Light and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds may not be exposed.
21 ௨௧ சத்தியத்தின்படி செய்கிறவனோ, தன் செய்கைகள் தேவனுக்குள்ளாக செய்யப்படுகிறது என்று வெளிப்படும்படிக்கு, ஒளியினிடத்தில் வருகிறான் என்றார்.
But whoever does the truth comes to the Light so that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they are done in God.”
22 ௨௨ இவைகளுக்குப் பின்பு, இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீடர்களும் யூதேயா நாட்டிற்கு வந்தார்கள்; அங்கே அவர் அவர்களோடு தங்கியிருந்து, ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுத்து வந்தார்.
After these things Jesus, with His disciples, went into the Judean countryside, and there He spent time with them and baptized.
23 ௨௩ சாலிம் ஊருக்கு அருகாமையான அயினோன் என்னும் இடத்திலே தண்ணீர் அதிகமாக இருந்தபடியினால், யோவானும் அங்கே ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுத்து வந்தான்; மக்கள் அவனிடத்தில் வந்து ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றார்கள்.
Now John also was baptizing in Aenon, near Salem, because there was plenty of water there. And people were coming and being baptized;
for John had not yet been thrown into prison.
25 ௨௫ அப்பொழுது யோவானுடைய சீடர்களில் சிலருக்கும், யூதர்களுக்கும், சுத்திகரிப்பைக்குறித்து வாக்குவாதம் உண்டானது.
Then some of John's disciples had an argument with a Judean about purification.
26 ௨௬ அவர்கள் யோவானிடத்தில் வந்து: ரபீ, உம்முடனேகூட யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையில் ஒருவர் இருந்தாரே; அவரைக்குறித்து நீரும் சாட்சி கொடுத்தீரே, இதோ, அவர் ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுக்கிறார், எல்லோரும் அவரிடத்தில் போகிறார்கள் என்றார்கள்.
So they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the One who was with you across the Jordan, about whom you have testified—well, here He is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to Him!”
27 ௨௭ யோவான் மறுமொழியாக: பரலோகத்தில் இருந்து ஒருவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டால் அன்றி, அவன் ஒன்றையும் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளமாட்டான்.
John answered and said: “A person can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven.
You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but I have been sent ahead of Him.’
29 ௨௯ மணமகளை உடையவனே மணமகன்; மணமகனுடைய தோழனோ, அருகே நின்று, அவருடைய சொல்லைக் கேட்டு மணமகனுடைய சத்தத்தைக்குறித்து மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறான்; இந்தச் சந்தோஷம் இப்பொழுது எனக்குச் சம்பூரணமானது.
He who has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and hears him, has great joy at the bridegroom's voice. So this my joy has been fulfilled.
He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 ௩௧ உன்னதத்திலிருந்து வருகிறவர் எல்லோரையும்விட மேலானவர்; பூமியிலிருந்து உண்டானவன் பூமியின் தன்மை உள்ளவனாக இருந்து, பூமிக்குரிவைகளைப் பேசுகிறான்; பரலோகத்தில் இருந்து வருகிறவர் எல்லோரையும்விட மேலானவர்.
“He who comes from Above is above all; he who is from the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth. He who comes from Heaven is above all.
32 ௩௨ தாம் பார்த்தையும், கேட்டதையும் சாட்சியாகச் சொல்லுகிறார்; அவருடைய சாட்சியை ஒருவனும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறது இல்லை.
And to what He has seen and heard He testifies, yet no one receives His testimony.
33 ௩௩ அவருடைய சாட்சியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் தேவன் சத்தியம் உள்ளவர் என்று முத்திரையிட்டு உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறான்.
The one who receives His testimony certifies that God is true.
34 ௩௪ தேவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்டவர் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசுகிறார்; தேவன் அவருக்குத் தமது ஆவியை அளவில்லாமல் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.
For He whom God sent speaks God's words, because God does not give the Spirit by measure.
The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.
36 ௩௬ குமாரனிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கிறவன் நித்தியஜீவனை உடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்; குமாரனை விசுவாசிக்காதவனோ ஜீவனைப் பார்ப்பதில்லை, தேவனுடைய கோபம் அவன்மேல் நிலைநிற்கும் என்றான். (aiōnios g166)
The one believing into the Son has eternal life, but the one disobeying the Son will not see the Life, but the wrath of God will remain upon him.” (aiōnios g166)
