யோபு 36

1 ௧ பின்னும் எலிகூ:

And Elihu continued:

2 ௨ “நான் பேசிமுடியும்வரை சற்றேபொறும்; இன்னும் தேவனின் சார்பாக நான் சொல்லவேண்டிய நியாயங்களை உமக்குச் சொல்லிக் காண்பிப்பேன்.

“Bear with me a little longer, and I will show you that there is more to be said on God’s behalf.

3 ௩ நான் தூரத்திலிருந்து என் ஞானத்தைக் கொண்டுவந்து, என்னை உண்டாக்கினவருடைய நீதியை விளங்கச்செய்வேன்.

I get my knowledge from afar, and I will ascribe justice to my Maker.

4 ௪ மெய்யாகவே என் வார்த்தைகள் பொய்யில்லாமல் இருக்கும்; உம்முடன் பேசுகிறவன் அறிவில் தேறினவன்.

For truly my words are free of falsehood; one perfect in knowledge is with you.

5 ௫ இதோ, தேவன் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர், அவர் ஒருவரையும் தள்ளிவிடமாட்டார்; மன உருக்கத்திலும் அவர் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர்.

Indeed, God is mighty, but He despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding.

6 ௬ அவர் துன்மார்க்கரைப் பிழைக்க விடாதிருக்கிறார்; சிறுமையானவர்களின் நியாயத்தை விசாரிக்கிறார்.

He does not keep the wicked alive, but He grants justice to the afflicted.

7 ௭ அவர் தம்முடைய கண்களை நீதிமான்களைவிட்டு விலக்காமல், அவர்களை ராஜாக்களுடன் சிங்காசனத்தில் ஏறவும், உயர்ந்த இடத்தில் என்றைக்கும் அமர்ந்திருக்கவும் செய்கிறார்.

He does not take His eyes off the righteous, but He enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever.

8 ௮ அவர்கள் விலங்குகள் போடப்பட்டு, உபத்திரவத்தின் கயிறுகளால் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்தாலும்,

And if men are bound with chains, caught in cords of affliction,

9 ௯ அவர், அவர்களுடைய செயல்களையும், அதிகமான அவர்களுடைய மீறுதல்களையும் அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தி,

then He tells them their deeds and how arrogantly they have transgressed.

10 ௧0 அக்கிரமத்தைவிட்டுத் திரும்பும்படி அவர்கள் காது கேட்க கடிந்துகொள்ளுகிறார்.

He opens their ears to correction and commands that they turn from iniquity.

11 ௧௧ அவர்கள் அடங்கி அவரை ஆராதித்தால், தங்கள் நாட்களை நன்மையாகவும், தங்கள் வருடங்களைச் செழிப்பான வாழ்வாகவும் போக்குவார்கள்.

If they obey and serve Him, then they end their days in prosperity and their years in happiness.

12 ௧௨ அடங்கவில்லை என்றால் பட்டயத்திற்கு இரையாகி, ஞானம் அடையாமல் இறந்துபோவார்கள்.

But if they do not obey, then they perish by the sword and die without knowledge.

13 ௧௩ மாயமுள்ள இருதயத்தார் கோபத்தைக் குவித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களை அவர் கட்டிவைக்கும்போதும் தேவனைக் கெஞ்சிக் கூப்பிடுவதில்லை.

The godless in heart harbor resentment; even when He binds them, they do not cry for help.

14 ௧௪ அவர்கள் இளவயதிலே இறந்துபோவார்கள்; இழிவானவர்களுக்குள்ளே அவர்கள் இறப்பார்கள்.

They die in their youth, among the male shrine prostitutes.

15 ௧௫ சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களை அவர் சிறுமைக்கு விலக்கி, அவர்கள் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது அவர்கள் செவியைத் திறக்கிறார்.

God rescues the afflicted by their affliction and opens their ears in oppression.

16 ௧௬ அப்படியே அவர் உம்மையும் நெருக்கத்திலிருந்து விலக்கி, இடுக்கமில்லாத விசாலத்திலே வைப்பார்; உம்முடைய உணவுப்பந்தி கொழுமையான பதார்த்தங்களால் நிறைந்திருக்கும்.

Indeed, He drew you from the jaws of distress to a spacious and broad place, to a table full of richness.

17 ௧௭ ஆகாதவன்மேல் வரும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நிறைவேற்றப் பார்ப்பீர்; நியாயமும் நீதியும் உம்மை ஆதரிக்கும்.

But now you are laden with the judgment due the wicked; judgment and justice have seized you.

18 ௧௮ கடுங்கோபம் உண்டாயிருக்கிறதினால் அவர் உம்மை ஒரு அடியினால் அழித்துவிடாமலிருக்க எச்சரிக்கையாயிரும்; அப்பொழுது மீட்கும் பொருளை அதிகமாகக் கொடுத்தாலும் அதற்கு நீர் தப்பமாட்டீர்.

Be careful that no one lures you with riches; do not let a large bribe lead you astray.

19 ௧௯ உம்முடைய செல்வத்தை அவர் மதிப்பாரோ? உம்முடைய பொன்னையும், பூரண பராக்கிரமத்தையும் அவர் மதிக்கமாட்டாரே.

Can your wealth or all your mighty effort keep you from distress?

20 ௨0 மக்கள் தங்கள் இடத்தைவிட்டு அழிந்துபோகச்செய்கிற இரவை விரும்பாதிரும்.

Do not long for the night, when people vanish from their homes.

21 ௨௧ பாவத்தைத் திரும்பவும் செய்யாமல் எச்சரிக்கையாயிரும்; உபத்திரவத்தைவிட அக்கிரமத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டீரே.

Be careful not to turn to iniquity, for this you have preferred to affliction.

22 ௨௨ இதோ, தேவன் தம்முடைய வல்லமையில் உயர்ந்திருக்கிறார்; அவரைப் போல் போதிக்கிறவர் யார்?

Behold, God is exalted in His power. Who is a teacher like Him?

23 ௨௩ அவருடைய வழியின் நியாயத்தை விசாரிக்கத்தகுந்தவன் யார்? நீர் அநியாயம் செய்தீர் என்று சொல்லத்தக்கவன் யார்?

Who has appointed His way for Him, or told Him, ‘You have done wrong’?

24 ௨௪ மனிதர் நோக்கிப்பார்க்கிற அவருடைய செயல்களை நீர் மகிமைப்படுத்த நினையும்.

Remember to magnify His work, which men have praised in song.

25 ௨௫ எல்லா மனிதரும் அதைக் காண்கிறார்களே; தூரத்திலிருந்து அது மனிதருக்கு வெளிப்படுகிறது.

All mankind has seen it; men behold it from afar.

26 ௨௬ இதோ, தேவன் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர்; நாம் அவரை அறிய முடியாது; அவருடைய வருடங்களின் தொகை எண்ணமுடியாதது.

Indeed, God is great—beyond our knowledge; the number of His years is unsearchable.

27 ௨௭ அவர் நீர்த்துளிகளை அணுவைப்போல ஏறவைக்கிறார்; அவைகள் மேகத்திலிருந்து மழையாக பொழிகிறது.

For He draws up drops of water which distill the rain from the mist,

28 ௨௮ அதை மேகங்கள் பெய்து, மனிதர்கள் மேல் அதிகமாகப் பொழிகிறது.

which the clouds pour out and shower abundantly on mankind.

29 ௨௯ மேகங்கள் பரவுகிறதையும், அவருடைய கூடாரத்திலிருந்து எழும்பும் குமுறல்களையும் அறியமுடியுமோ?

Furthermore, who can understand how the clouds spread out, how the thunder roars from His pavilion?

30 ௩0 இதோ, அதின்மேல் தம்முடைய மின்னலின் ஒளியை பரப்புகிறார்; சமுத்திரத்தை இருளால் மூடுகிறார்.

See how He scatters His lightning around Him and covers the depths of the sea.

31 ௩௧ அவைகளால் மக்களை தண்டிக்கிறவரும், ஆகாரம்கொடுத்து காப்பாற்றுகிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்.

For by these He judges the nations and provides food in abundance.

32 ௩௨ அவர் மின்னலின் ஒளியைத் தமது கைக்குள்ளே மூடி, அது எவைகளையெல்லாம் அடிக்கவேண்டுமென்று கட்டளையிடுகிறார்.

He fills His hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark.

33 ௩௩ அதினால், அவர் செய்ய நினைக்கிறதையும், புயல் எழும்பப்போகிறதையும், ஆடுமாடுகள் தெரியப்படுத்தும்.

The thunder declares His presence; even the cattle regard the rising storm.
